When in Mumbai, you should never ask the cabbie/rickshaw on how much they'll charge, there's a meter which displays the rates as per kilometre... they will take you by the standard tariff displayed on that meter.

You can say no butter on top. Or mix in all pav bhaji and share. That way you will have less butter. Just say easy on butter. Canon, Shiv Sagar and Shabari Pav bhaji is also good. Go around NM and Mithi Bai (Vile Parle), Jaihind college ( Church gate) nice restaurants there also.
This is for all the foreigners , coming to India whether you are In Mumbai or Delhi tell them to go according to meter , meter is attached on the dashboard which you can clearly see or in AUTO (In Delhi , tuk tuk is known as auto) /TUK TUK it is on your front , it will be fair and beneficial ride but they will not go with meter as they can't earn more profit so , . best is to use UBER /OLA CABS or For electric cab use BLU , we Indians use that at least in DELHI everyone use that from that we would know the exact fare . happy journey
