As an Indian I wanna apologize for such a bad behaviour of my country folks, really sorry. The way that lady acted is just not right in any way. This kinda behaviour tarnishes the image of our country and affects tourism too.
Why you are sorry. It will happen in any country. Tourist needs to be careful that's it. Anything will happen in any country, that doesn't mean those people of that also responsible for that.
Scammers are found in almost every country. As a tourist you need to plan your trip well and have sufficient knowledge of the place you plan to visit.
She's a Karen
If a indian person face these types of problem then no one from the other countries will apologise then why should we apologise ?

Said what ?
@@Q_QQ_Q that lady in the beginning said that when dies he will get nothing because he wouldn't buy something from her shop, awful behaviour.
@@franda777You misinterpreted her.
It is an Indian saying to help the poor.
What she meant was "when someone dies then all money will be left behind. Money will not come with your soul to heaven or hell. So, help the poor with your money before you die."

I think she is a poor lady so you can give her some money as it will bless you. have mercy 😊🙏🏻
I feel that the government should make a rule that shopkeepers should put price tags on every item so that no one is cheated
Do you really think that people will follow the rules or police will help to implement that.
Btw there is a 500 rupees fine on littering and we know how it works.

The mix of traditional and modern elements in Mumbai is fascinating! Your first impressions video makes me want to book a flight there immediately. Did you have any favourite spots or experiences during your initial days?

Word of Caution: When traveling in India, it's advisable to exercise caution: refrain from purchasing items from street vendors, be discerning about who you engage with (regardless of their attire or speech), rely on information from your hotel reception or online sources, and negotiate when hiring auto-rickshaws or shopping. It's prudent not to pay the full price upfront for services, a practice that applies not only to foreign travelers but also to Indians traveling from other states.
Please note: India's diversity can make travel challenging even for Indians moving between states or within a state. While not everyone in India is dishonest, due to its large population, encounters with unscrupulous individuals may be more frequent compared to other countries.

14 bucks for laundry in india... yes, you got scammed. usually they wanna charge you at least 3x the normal price.

What’s the wash and fold service in India like? 5 being the best and 0 the lowest
Relax it's colaba Mumbai
Zane, just stumbled upon your video. As many have already told you, you are living in the most touristy place in Mumbai. The street you walked from 10:21 onwards from Cafe Mondegar is known as Colaba market. It is a street market and vendors know how to deal (fleece) foreigners.
If someone is being too friendly to you and not leaving your side, be very careful in this part of Mumbai, they definitely want to sell something to you that you don't want/need. Actually it applies to any street market around the world.
I've personally seen a tourist been sold a cotton shawl as cashmere shawl for Rs. 1000 when we Indian's were buying it on next stand for Rs. 250.
21:05 - Kaju=cashew. And the nut within the Mango bite seemed to be almond.
7:59 $14 for laundry is too expensive. Per piece charge is expensive, there will be laundries where it is charged as per kilo.
Hoping you do get some mango...though the season has just ended. Also, hope the monsoon doesn't dampen your spirits.
Other recommendations for the Parsi cafe's are already with you. Njoy.
Amazing video, thanks for sharing.

If you are in Mumbai then you can visit Chor Bazaar, Lohar Chawl, Manish Market, Crawford Market, where you can buy anything for least affordable prices. You can also try to visit the extended suburbs, places like Malad, Borivali where you will find good beaches and National Park, biggest park within Mumbai. If you go towards places like Vasai, Nala Sopara, Virar you will observe village type atmosphere and find many Villas and Cottages.

@@wooble73 scammers? 😂 There are only very few but brainless people like you fall for those. You better don't judge a country of 1.4 billion population or generalise us. Every states of India have different culture and also mentality differs. Mumbai is most safe. I can guarantee that most scammers would be found in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur ( surrounding region). Apart from that scammer can't be found easily. It's very rare.
