Love the video! As an apsc user and having no equivalent to it, I'd like to see you, if possible, just make a few remarks on how it handles and performs on apsc bodies. Loving the content, anways buddy. Keep it up!
just started looking at this lens, and in my opinion so far , if the biggest cons is a harder to deal with mount and weird lens hood BUT you are saving A LOT of Money .... i think i could live with it. especially considering the Sigma mount is Arca whereas the Sony is Not, and requires even more money to purchase the adapter.
I have it, and late 2024 updates from other owners say this lens already beats the 70-200 GM II in stabilization and equals it's autofocus with 10/11fps capable cameras. I have it, haven't tested the GM II but the Sigma is just too good for me. Even night time autofocus is unfair, and panning shots feels like cheating.
This may been a dumb question but does the autofocus depending on the lens or the body? So, I have a Leica 24-70 and I swear it won’t even focus in broad daylight to save me, and my body is Leica SL2-s. I have also shot a whole 5 hour concert with Leica 90-280 which also doesn’t focus. Now, I haven’t tried anything outside Leica but they have an L-mount alliance with Panasonic and Sigma. Would I have a better autofocus capability having a lens with a better autofocus that isn’t Leica? Also, how about the colors… would it have that Leica look if the lens isn’t Leica only the body?
I have wanting to have a 70-200mm f2.8 focal for a longgggggg time. I just could not afford the sony version, I know their MKII is the best in the market but I am not a production job, I am just using it as a hobbyist and travel but the weight for this lens to travel it's a killer when I look at the spread sheet. Also is this lens compatible with the telephoto converter?
currently, I have the Sony 70-300 G lens. would you recommend a replacement, meaning selling my lens and getting this one (Sigma 70-200), or should I stick with what I have and add this lens to my gear? Or, ultimately, should I just stick with my 70-300 and call it a day?
Haha, you have to catch them all - these bokeh balls 😂 Nice preview as always my friend :) To be honest the 70-200mm zoom is something I a lot on social media I often want to buy one because of that, but since I know my shooting situations, I can resist the purchase at least for this one :D I'm curious, if Sigma will update the 24-70 2.8 Art to version II with this 70-200 tech. But if I advance on my skills maybe in the future :D

As a Sony APS-C shooter with the Tamron 35-150 who doesn’t shoot wildlife or sports, I’m all set, but Sigma has been killing it lately!
Sigma really has been killing it lately 🔥 I just tested the 10-18 f2.8 for apsc and it’s siiiiick 👀

It’s in my wish list.

What lens should I buy for my a6700
I would like to see a comparison between this lens and the Canon 70-200 II or III. What would you prefer?

I see no test for focus breathing. how is it?
Can you use the viltrox speed booster m2 with this lens? I have a lumix g7 micro 4/3 cam so I need the booster
Great job on the video! Thanks for making it.
Thank you 🙏🏻

Depends on whether you need the reach of the 70-300? If you don't the Sigma will give you nicer images for sure.
Hahahahaha så många gånger jag skrattade! Så kul att se vad du tyckte om den 👌 Kan inte annat än hålla med!
Are you shooting with Sony A7IV?
yea :)
I just wish Sigma would care a bit about the weight of their lenses. 30% more weight than the Sony, it adds up for every lens.
When you're filming 99% of the time you're not going to change aperture mid-shot anyway
Really nice Lens ! might consider upgrade my old sigma! :)
It's really really nice indeed :)
Good lens 👍
it really is!
I don't want to sound weird but your beard is amazing.
Thank you I really appreciate that 😊🤘🏻
I have the 20, 35, 85, 135 and 70-200 sigmas. I saved like 10,000 bucks. 😅
buying all of them prime GMs with the 70-200 mark II brandnew is not even 10k.
Have a couple colleagues who broke their Sony lens caps lol
