Ken... This is an incredibly well put together exposé on this church. Seriously nice work, well done. I am inspired to do the same for someplace like this closer to home.
That was fantastic, Ken. I love exploring abandoned properties. Nature always wins. Great job. -Ed
Sad to see such a Beautiful Church closed. The Architecture of it is amazing! Great Video Ken!
As ALWAYS, educational and the cinematography is excellent. By far this is in my top five favorite videos Mr Heron.
Very nice video! Great shots, background history, present and future plans information. Nice work (& hair) Ken.
Awsome vlog! Ken You just invent a whole new category of urban exploring !
Thanks Ken for sharing your time and expertise with us. Sad this beautiful church is in such ruin. I enjoyed this adventure!
That was a fun day.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome vid Ken! I really like the running commentary, great info!
Wow Ken thanks for sharing this piece of Gary Indiana history.
Sad to see such a gorgeous church in such decay... ken you should go to Europe and do some video.. it would be awesome I bet.
Loved the video Ken. Very sad to see what was such a beautiful building go to waste.
A fantastic yet sad film Ken, great work!
Wow, I bet the place was amazing in it's day. Sad to see it falling apart. Great video.
Welcone to North West Indiana!!! This the stompnming grounds I grew up in! Try traveling a bit south to the cow farms at FairLife on I-65 in Fair Oaks Indiana. There is always fun happening there!
So amazing church.it is great that you use the FPV fly thru the broken ladder.
Awesome video and narration, as usual Ken!!
Sorry wasn't able to join you guys. Hopefully we can do something different next time you are up this way.
Great architecture! Thanks for sharing!
So well done Ken, humor and pro 👍🤩
Nice. I have always planned to check that place out but haven't been able to. You beat me to it. Great work Ken! You are a brave man. lol.
Your narration and historical context are fantastic Ken...a great capture of this point in history.
I loved the "walk" (flight) up the steps. It really gives an idea of how grand it was.
Very cool Ken. Thank you for sharing
Imagine how many young and eager Souls walked in amazement through
that stunning building and though "Semen's Hall - he he, hehehe".
(I found one bright spot in this sad tale and dang it, I'm gonna cling on to it)
That was a cool vid. Nice editing Ken 👍🏽
Hi Ken love your videos. Keep up the great work
What a shame, a beautiful historical building like that can go to ruin in such a relatively short time.
Well done for documenting it for future generations.
Great content as always Ken .
Unbelievable. Beautiful place just left.
Great vid and Great flying!!
Love the history. Looks like you got the Zoom Zoom back
Great visit to Gary, Schaumburg?
Quite the place. Amazing how time takes back. 👍👍✌️
Amazing location, thanks for sharing
Wow great video Ken!
Dam this was awesome!! Really wish I could find a place like that to fly here
epic aerial, nice ken 👍👍
Beautiful buildings and great history
That was cool. I've seen countless still photo shoots there (probably what that dress was left behind from), but never seen a drone fly though.
Great video thanks Ken
Amazing piece; thank you! I'm surprised you didn't wear Kevlar, though.
Thank you Ken, my wife is from near dubuque Iowa and she has told me allot about Gary and now you guys go and show us one amazing old church, this place had to be amazing in its day , is there images of it before ?
Looks an amazing place, it’s a shame all the hard work that went into building it has gone to waste.
Thanks for sharing Ken.
Great job on the video Ken. A constant reminder that physical things rot and decay but it’s the people who make up the church is what’s most important.
You’re getting better and better with FPV’n. Just wish I’ll eventually find time to fly.
fantastic Mr H
Sad end to what was clearly once a beautiful church and source of strength to the community. Great piece, Ken. As usual.
You need to take care with that fpv drone. Looked like one crash up in those rooms and no chance of recovery. Very brave though and some awesome flying as per dude. Your number one fan from UK
Cool 😎
that was really cool. I love exploring abandoned places. before drones were a thing, I got to explore an unfinished hotel in Togliatti, Russia. that would have been awesome to fly a drone around there. they have since finished that hotel decades later.
That’s so interesting, but also sad. Drones were made for properly exploring places like this. Especially from an aerial shot.
Very well done!
Nice work Ken that's not the end of the road ..you can still get to the top of that bell tower just try harder next time;)
That was so cooo wish i knew u was so close i live in michigan city...we could have fpvd...lol
Amazing video. Weren’t you afraid you dropped trough the floor? 😱
The entire time I watched you climb those stairs, I worried you were going to fall through.
More weirdness. If this was anywhere here on the west coast, it would be surrounded by fences, razor wire, keep out signs galore, etc. And like many places in the midwest, you can just walk right in! Also: all windows busted, but those stained glass windows looked intact?~?
Great video!
Nice video that's really cool
Cool Ken
Ken has more subscribers than the church had members. I love these derelict building tours. Great job.
THAT is crazy and looked very dangerous. I'm a crazy carpenter with no respect for health and saftey and it still looked dangerous. Fpv all the way now Ken . ?
Awesome video
Have fun
So sad to see such a beautiful place fall to the ravages of time. Too bad it would have cost so much to keep it up as it was once was. Great and awesome job on this historical church video. Thanks, Ken!
You are a skilled filmmaker
Thanks.
That’s “eye-roni” … great with meatballs!
First. 😎 Really cool location. Wow.
I see FPV drones on your bag, where's the footies? 🤣
I have a few FPV videos of this place posted almost exactly a year ago
Great tour! It's even beautiful in its decay... must have been quite a sight in its glory days. BTW, my favorite misspelled graffiti ever, written on an overpass: YOUR A LOOSER!
Nice video Glad you're still alive Scary Gary IN. 👻🤡
It was great explore, even in its current state the structure still shows its amazing detailed construction. Had a great time on this one. What shame it was allowed to get that way.
M-o-o-n that spells Irony!
Now we need some proper freestyle videos from there.. surely someone has one?
Can’t believe such a building has been left to the ravages of nature. (Please check spelling).
Stay. Safe
Just think what that place looked like in it's prime.
I don't think those red converse shoes are osha approved.. lol
That's what I said. Ken I'm wearing steel toed boots, your wearing sneakers.
I spent time in Germany yrs ago in the army And I was fascinated with the churhces.. well one church in Nuremberg was totally demolished during ww2. And was rebuilt. It was such a glorious church.. what was amazing was they were tuning the pipe organ.. there was a man up in the pipes and his son sat on the bench seat.. you could hear the man telling his assistant which note to hit. But what was amazing was the craftsmanship .. the detail in the structure... was totally captivating . The stained glass was totally special... I want to go back.. truly a wonderful place.
Gary is a sad part of American History.
Good Lord. You went to Gary?
My god Ken , why wouldn't you wear safety shoes when you explore these places.....
I would to do that
Great video Ken, Michael Jackson would appreciate the view of his home town church.
Reminds of you of some of the Jewish synagogue's that were smashed by the Nazi's before the war.
Love your videos Ken. Such a disgrace by the Methodist Church and City Officials to let that happen to a beautiful church. No excuses. I thought you would fly it for sure. You took you life in your hands going in there. Someone could have murdered you guys in there. Buh and Bye.
shiey when 80
Naw... this is an indication of what happened to the Methodist churches in America when they stopped following scripture.
First to comment 😉
