Efren, so glad you stopped in at the famous Tentempe Cafe at the top of the penultimate hill. The ladies there who run it were so friendly and helpful and found me (really great) accommodation in Lourenza. I also sampled a local craft beer at their cafe which was expensive at 3 euros but well worth it!
Good video, and yes walking the Camino is far more interesting than sitting in an albergue on the Camino, lol. That mad dash to albergues you encounter on the Frances can be quite puzzling. Puzzling in the sense of, why? I now carry a lightweight ground pad. The best lightweight one for the money. I carry it simply for piece of mind in knowing that no matter what I will have something to sleep on for the night. I can walk as they say, in a relaxed manner. Pretty much every village you encounter will have a covered area (church's etc) to sleep under if there's no room at the inn. That piece of mind is well worth that tad bit of extra weight, and guess what, I've never had to use it. Even on the Frances at its busiest, I always found a bed. I'll continue to carry it when I can walk the Camino again, God willing. cheers and ultreia
What the xxxx.... I've subscribed to your channel for a couple of years now, and now I'm stopped from viewing some of your previous videos as I'm not a "member". And I contributed to your Francigena pot....... ??
I'm sorry you feel that way but the old model simply wasn't working, at least not for me. Editing from sunrise to sunset, weekends and all, taking months away from my family, investing in expensive gear, software subscriptions, website hosting, and music libraries. All this on a few donations and google adsense that would bring in less than $100 a month was simply unsustainable. The alternative was to shutters this down and move on to something else. $10 a month for access to hundreds of vlogs doesn't seem unreasonable to me. I hope you understand.
@@Walk_with_Efren i am using a phantom 3 for stuff around the yard, looking to upgrade to a mavic soon, the portability, battery life and imaging are better. Whenever i get to Spain, it will be in the heavy pack because i will also have my dslr and 3 lenses... Helecopters sound awesome to hang out of,about 15 years ago😄
Just came back from el norte and those albuergues at Gondán and San Xusto are still closed.
Crossing into Galicia felt like coming home...

yes they were. they told me about the albergue as well and what to expect for the remaining of the stage.
Fantastic!
Galicia is always amazing countryside and the view leaving Ribadeo looks very nice. Thinking upgrading my agenda next year after seeing past Gijon.
You should! but wait until you see the camino Ingles which is only 5 days
