hi there! im back from the UK and am so happy to share this vlog with you! i figured if i was going to fly 15 hours to get to iceland, i might as well spend more than 5 days on that side of the world lol. luckily my parents were able to join and we managed to catch the best week of summer the UK had all season :') thanks to everyone who sent travel suggestions and love always!

Upper Slaughter! That's the village where "Father Bown" is filmed. It's one of my favorite TeeVee shows when I'm in full-on British Senior Citizen Mode (which happens more often than I'd like to admit). I recognized some of the sites. Very cool place. Quaint AF.

Cari, I loved the Iceland vlog but this one stole my hole heart. I've lived in England for one year during my masters degree and I miss it so much. Bath is surely so magical ❤
Omg I'm so happy you chose to go to Hay! It's well known for the festival but people outside of England don't seem to go there much. I grew up about 40 mins away so have a lot of memories there
I lived in Reading (half way between London and Oxford, you surely passed through it by train) for 10 years, and was lucky enough to visit all of the places you visited... Your video gave me goosebumps (and a good dose of nostalgia, now that I've moved to another country), it was great to see all those familiar places through your eyes and camera 😍

I lived in the South of England for 4 years and this vlog brings back a lot of very good memories 🥹 I used to visit my sister who was living in Bath at the time (what a pretty city, right?), we had a road trip in the Costwolds and saw the exact same places you did, and I also went to Oxford with my friends for a long weekend that I’ll never forget. The Baths in Bath has the best audio guide in the world in my humble opinion, it certainly packs the information into
superb explanations, the whole tour brings everything alive.
Great to visit Oxford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bath again through you Cari and learn of Hay-on-Wye that is my kind of heaven, how wonderful to explore it all with your parents.
At first we thought the 25£ ticket price was wild but after seeing the exhibit and having the great audio guide, the price hurt less hahahha

Cari I'm from and live in the Cotswolds and found your channel about a week maybe 2 before you came here and I was absolutely binging your content then realised you were here over on your instagram lol. I live about 15 minutes from stow on the wold. I love how relaxing all your videos are they bring me such peace so thank you and it's so interesting seeing this area from an outsiders POV. If you ever come here again I would recommend coming early autumn and visiting Woodchester mansion (you can pay a small amount for a guided tour where they tell you all about the history) and also walking around Woodchester park is gorgeous anytime of the year but specifically early autumn when the leaves change colour, it's one of my favourite places to visit x

Yay!!! Toppings! That's my local bookstore. I love seeing Bath through other's eyes, it reminds us how blessed we are to live in such a city. (haha don't drink the water in the Pump Room it's disgusting because so many minerals 🤣) Plus my husband used to live just opposite the Herschel Museum! August in London? Yeah, be prepared for torrential thunderous downpours and sunshine combined, absolutely. Last August we were there when it was so torrential they had to close off some of the tube stations because the rain was creating waterfalls down the steps!
i would be in there every single day hhahahaha
