The Sacra di San Michele, sometimes known as Saint Michael's Abbey, is a religious complex on Mount Pirchiriano near Turin, Italy.
Furthermore, this place inspired the writer Umberto Eco to conceive the best-seller “Il nome della rosa” ( The name of the rose ).

All I can say is that if Mount Everest was in Italy....they would have tried to build it up there...I couldn't imaging dragging the stones up there...they had to have been tough, skilled and determined people....
