@chevsovanrith2441 The process should be the same on the 2018 if I'm not mistaken. As far as if it's just the o-ring or both the only way to know if it's just the o-ring is to perform a smoke test and see if it's leaking unless you can visually see a bad spot on the o-ring. However if you are replacing the evap leak detection pump I really recommend just replacing the o-ring while you're there.
@@MattBuild I don’t have the smoke test leak. It should be taken a long time to wait from the order at here. Anyway thank you so much I will try to check on it then.
Hind sight that would've been a great thing to show in the video as well. So basically I took my voltmeter and set it to ohms, and put one on each pin where the plug plugs into it. Then you can blow on the small end where the hose goes and you should have continuity through it.
However the same code came back and I also tested the purge valve which I just posted a video on but my purge valve is good so I'm currently waiting on a smoke machine to get here to test for leaks.
Thank you! Your video was useful, simple and concise. I have the same code in my JKUR. Your video helped me a great deal.
So detail and easy to understand thank you so much
You're welcome. Thank you, and I'm glad I was able to help someone!
@@MattBuildso do we need to the evap or just the O rubber ring is ok?
@@MattBuild mine is 2018 jeep Sahara is it the same?

Great video! TY!
Thank you! Hope it helped.
How did you know the module was bad, and not a leak somewhere in the system?

I replaced my evap sensor It also stopped me getting a 430 cat code.
get a smoke machine its worth it, once i hooked mine up i found my leak with in a couple minutes, it turned out to be the leak detection pump.
Is this same as 2013 wrangler..anyone?
Jeep Wrangler JK was produced from 2007 to 2017. So yes it's the same.
