Those glitches were awesome. I cant remember if I ever found that warp. I seem to remember using an action replay to get the sword immediately cos it was a pain having to go down that flipping mine shaft every time! Good run dude!

And it took a wrong warp to make this record fall. As the current world-record holder on this game, congratulations on holding the previous record for thirteen years!
To be honest, this run was not meant to be competitive in any way and was made purely for fun. I'd wager that even before I made this there were runs that were much faster.

@35:56 there's a faster way to do this. Instead of clanging swords with him... block, wait a split second, and then attack. If done right, you'll hit him every single time.
I had to practice it a lot on an emulator at the time before I recorded this. It's been so long ago, I don't remember the exact positioning you need to be in to pull it off.

I learned the right pixel to execute these 2 jumps feel days later (the second jump is exactly in the skeleton right hand) and improve so many others techniques for this speedrun. Once time I appreciate Tatsuhiko for introduce me in the PoP speedruns world.

I beated Battletoads and prince of persia, both was the hardest games Ive played and I end both, but it was very hard and took me some time mastering my skills, moderm games arent a huge chalenge like old ones.

Yeah, if you time your jump right , they will spawn a floor higher because the game thinks you too are a floor higher. Pretty ingenious indeed.

This game was way too hard for me as a kid, I just played few hours. Now I see why, it is indeed extremely hard and complexe.

I hear you. The closest i've been to a challenging game these days was with the Souls series (Dark Souls, Demon Souls, Bloodborn, Sekiro)

How do you get the sword? You didn't get it in level one, but there it is in level 2...
Because if you finish level 1, the game treats things as if you have the sword, whether you got it or not.
