Seve before all his back problems was something to behold. Pure golf genius.

Shout out to the somewhat unsung heroes, the Spanish Armada, Sam Torrance, Howard Clarke & especially Paul Way - he was great, all the makings of a young Nicklaus in his prime. Thanks for uploading this.

@9:47 you can hear the famous Seve cough, during Curtis Strange’s backswing.

Ah, that myth again.... Seve had a nervous cough his whole life. Like all people with nervous ticks, he didn't even realise he was doing it.
There's loads of footage of him coughing during his own shots, and whilst walking down fairways with nobody else in sight.
It might have been irritating at times for his playing partners and opponents, but it most certainly wasn't deliberate.

@@MrAJR76 It just seemed to coincide right at the perfect time to screw up somebody’s swing . He did it against Nick Price during a match play tournament, and his caddie told him to give Nick Price’s par putt and Seve refused. Ray Floyd said Seve was coughing multiple time in his backswing during a Ryder Cup. Somehow Steve’s nervous cough never happened in his Ryder Cup teammates backswing, I wonder why.

@@A-FrameWedge Having just listened to that part you're referring to (9:47), that's not Seve coughing. His cough was a much lower pitch, with a throat-clearing sound. That was someone else, I can assure you.
Right, the Nick Price incident - you've (incredibly) got every single detail of that wrong. Firstly, it was genuinely caused by Seve choking on a piece of food he was eating. He immediately asked the referee if he could let Price play the shot again, and was apologising profusely to Price. Still mortified about it when they reached the green, he offered to concede Price's 10 foot par putt. Price wouldn't accept it, and said "Seve, look please stop worrying about this, let's just play golf". I don't understand how you've managed to get every aspect of that incident wrong, but consider yourself now corrected!
Ray Floyd at Kiawah: Again, you're wrong. Firstly, he did not claim Seve had coughed multiple times during his swing. This was off the back of Paul 'Gulf War' Azinger kicking up a fuss the day before about Seve's nervous cough. There's a lot one could say about Azinger's conduct that week, but this isn't the place. Nonetheless, he'd got his teammates worked up about it. Floyd (who, by the way, was friends with Seve) was very protective that year towards his younger playing partner Couples. When Seve had a couple of his nervous coughs on the second tee, while Couples was setting up (NOT during his swing), Floyd overreacted and 'told Seve off' as they walked down the fairway. We don't know what Seve's response was, but I imagine he defended himself. Floyd had known Seve for years and was fully aware it was simply a nervous cough.
Seve's cough would sometimes occur as players were beginning their setup. Annoying yes, but not deliberate. He never coughed DURING anyone's swing, I can 100% assure you. His caddie Billy Foster, the most straight-talking guy you'll find, has always insisted Seve never coughed during anyone's swing..
