I finally got brave enough and shaved my thinning, damaged hair off. My wigs fit better and I feel liberated. I discovered that I love the feel of the soft fuzz left after shaving. Thank you for being my muse and giving me the bravery to do this.
I’m _almost_ there too. I cut was left down to about 1 1/2-2 inches… which wasn’t easy for me, going from real long to real short. But I’m liking it now that I’m moving into wigs because it’s easier. 😅
Thank you, thank you! I wish more people posted this type of video. We need this 95% of the time. It’s only that tiny 5% of special occasions that most wig makers produce for. Wig makers are missing that golden opportunity to make EVERY DAY wigs. This could be a gold mine for them AND a goldmine for us!
I’m 56 post meno and my hair, once curly bouncy and full, is shockingly thinning daily. It’s very depressing. I’ve now gone shorter, shoulder bob, but I'm balding central front to middle to sides! I feel ugly every day. My husband is nearly bald and embraces it, but I doubt I will ever feel that. I’ve debated over my very first wig for 2 years now! You are beautiful, hair or not! Thank you for your videos and making this utterly dreadful experience, almost, normal and a bit fun!
Louise, for reasons a bit different than yours, I also have felt rather unattractive in the bio hair I've been dealing with. I watched videos for over a year before buying my first wig a couple months back. I went on my first solo cruise 2 weeks ago and took my new hair along with me. While getting dressed for one of the formal nights, I was so excited to know that my new hair was going to make her debut. I felt pretty for the first time in years! Pick a wig close to when you liked your bio hair the most and in a similar color to what you are now. I felt that was good advise when determining my first purchase. My 4th wig is now on the way and it's become fun to anticipate a new look to make me feel good about myself again. Now, if a wig could only do something about these extra meno pounds! 🤣
I have the same thinning issue, at my part and temples. Other people say they don't notice it but I do. I have been so self conscious about it. Been 3 years. I tried topicals, minox and Spiro, but they are expensive and come with side effects and you have to take them pretty much forever if you want you want to keep your hair. I'm ready to move into 2025 and stop thinking about this. I have other this to focus on.
So sorry I never had any issues and in less then two months lost all my lashes eyebrows and most of hair and all the hair on my body devastating I understand you coul get a nice topper unfortunately I started that way bit was a waste got ripped off by a woman that sold privately told her what they said I had alopecia universalis no heart she had good luck bought a lot of wigs from chiqiel Lear ing
So true , almost all my coolest wigs I have them from Chiquel Neighborhood ...Amanda is awesome and all the women who are in her Neighborhood :) cheers from Ottawa xoxo
Would love to see some shorter styles you would recommend. I’ve always worn my bio hair in a chin length Bob, and since this is all new, I’m not ready for long styles.
What other companies have low density wigs would love that and a very soft curl or maybe similar to envy’s Dakota. You were always so very helpful. Love your channel.
Thanks for FINALLY a middle part !! If manufacturers made All those side parts wide enough to accommodate a Middle part..lots more sales. Very Few middle parts available. Can you encourage stock photos to include a good full view of the back .. good to C length.
I just love you and your videos, Amanda! 🥰 They‘re always so much fun and entertaining, since I almost always agree with everything you say and feel the same way, plus I love your personality! 🫶🏻 I‘m sure you already know, but just wanted to add that Belle Tress hasn’t really discontinued the color Coolest Ash Brown, they‘re just adding a root and calling it Coolest Ash Brown-R from now on. Hopefully this helps someone whose favorite color it is. By the way, I hope you‘ll feel better soon! 🍀💕 Love, Sarah

Amanda, I hope you are soon feeling better! 52 years is a very long time to be ill, especially when you aren't anywhere near 52 years old yet!! 😕 Thank you for demonstrating the different ways to wear glasses with wigs; that was very helpful!!
Could you help with some ideas on how to control fly aways? Makes me crazy & I have tried heat, spray.....seems like nothing will keep them out of my eyes or tickling my nose.
Got Chelsea in this color and am finding I like warmer brunettes on me more, I have an olive and pink undertone and this cool brown makes my face look red. It looks amazing on you though! Do you have suggestions for a warmer brunette/auburn in Belle Tress? I like 6/33 in Jon Renau for reference.
To add, can anyone explain the left to right parting a majority of wig makers produce? I’m right handed and all my life my parting is roughly from my right side to my left, which feels natural.left to right for a right handed person, I feel is difficult? Is this just me?
