I thought so too! Apparently, a van Canto rabbit hole has opened up. Are you willing to jump down there with me and see what's going on? A metal a Cappella group? Covers and originals?!?! I say, buckle up and let's GO!
Hi Bill, 3 great bands! 1 cool song! 🔥🤘 I've loved VAN CANTO since I saw them for the first time in 2006! Sure not everyone likes their special kind of "metal a cappella", but they do it just great. I can't recommend any song in particular because I like them all. They have also done some great cover songs (e.g. Fear Of The Dark, Kings Of Metal, Primo Victoria, Wishmaster, The Bard's Song, Master Of Puppets, Thunderstruck, to name a few). It's worth listening to them and I am happy that I can see them live again soon! 😍
Thank you so much, my friend! I've started my list! I'll give you the first shout out when I start that rabbit hole. You are so lucky to be seeing them live again! 🤘❤️🤘
Regarding the Wacken Festival - I don't like going there anymore. Not because the lineups have gotten worse, but rather because it has become a "cool" thing and bucket list item to go there, mostly for people who don't give a f*** about metal and the attitude. For me, going to a metal festival or concert is something treasured because I can be amongst "my people" and don't have to give a damn about conforming to anything in the world "outside". Sadly this is no longer really possible at Wacken. Call me narrow-minded, but I don't wanna deal with the same fake and stupid people I have to deal with on a daily basis when I'm at a metal concert or festival.
That's really sad it's gotten that way. Surprising too, since metalheads can tell a poser right away. I feel the same way about being around our people! It warms my heart when I see clips from outside of the stage area where people are milling about where the vendors are and connecting in the love of metal. Sucks to hear that about such an iconic festival. 😔
@@BemusingBill oh you can spot the posers a Mile away, Thing is that there are so many of them. Can't do anything about it. None of my friends still visit Wacken. It's sad like you said. It's gotten too popular for its own good.
Van Canto is a group covering Metal a cappella...they are funny af. I actually was at that show at Wacken :)
That's really interesting. I like a Cappella groups, I love metal....I think I will really like them! Thank you!
That was a lot of fun. Nice introduction for me to VanCanto. The pipes were fun. And, I loved the enthusiasm from the crowd.

Once upon a time, this was my wake-up alarm sound. It has managed to throw me off the bed with the bass.

Yeeha! Since you already know Sabaton, why not have a look at "Blood of Bannockburn"? Its the same topic, and it has Bagpipes as well of course👍
Thank you, my friend! I was thinking of what Sabaton song to do next and I'm going with your recommendation. I'll give you a shout out! 🤘❤️🤘
