Glad to see someone as interested and even making content for Liminal spaces/Weirdcore/Dreamcore etc. I can’t usually explain why I love these things. It’s not something I can just share with my friends or family either, I truly feel alone when it comes to enjoying these aesthetics but I’m glad to always see a community around it.

felt the same, but what actually helped me was just askin questions, like "why" do i like this particular one? and kept asking why, and came to a short summary of what the dreamcores are, also studied media so that helped interpreting the data my precious little eyes recieved. And after a while I could explain it shortly and effectively to my friends and even raise interest in said genre.

for me weirdcore and liminal spaces are a apart of me because when the pandemic hit it never stopped for me i never went back out and i lost all of my friends and the isolation in the liminal spaces make me feel comfortable somehow

Weirdcore portrayal of trauma is pretty accurate you summed it all pretty good. A simplistic area with parents arguing is pretty affective.

These images are telling us: Come back to this place now, you need to be here now, your memory is telling you to escape what you have now and go back to a simple time as an escape from the stress and reality you live as an adult and come back to what you once knew where time wont exist and you will not have to stress about a thing and you can take your time here as much as you need

13:24 about this part on escapism, when I'm lucid dreaming I escape reality in terms of the boring logical and realistic landscape but I have one rule.
I don't make people who are mundane to me IRL like me
Because I need to remind myself that making them like me in my dream is a fantasy and nothing changes outside that, it's up to me to change reality by becoming more likeable and making them into REAL friends in REALITY
Is lucid dreaming dangerous? I want to try it and if or when I do, what would you recommend I do as a beginner?
@@Misfitslover there are many techniques to doing it but it takes practice and different ways work for different people as far as I know Lucid dreaming isn't dangerous at all there's many tutorials out there that can help you as well :)
I love that you have put a song Deep Swim to the chapter about escapism. Whenever I hear this song I imagine myself jumping into the sea and swimming underwater on a hot summer day, not worrying about anything. It is so relaxing and comforting. My little escape.

I entered to dreamcore the “candyland“. First, I enter the roller coaster cake and I ride it, it so very fun but it's coming a dark in end but I remember my family and I back to my real life, I say dreamcore is a fun nightmare...
Hmm...I guess this isn't quite what I expected. I've never seen myself in a dream, nor do I have unsettling feelings about such.
My dreams don't look like these at all.
Dreamcore isn’t about being actual dreams, it’s named dreamcore to mimic the experiences of dreaming not the reality of dreaming. For example the way in which dreams constantly cut from location to location, place to place, in the dream it’s not disorienting as it’s your whole reality in the moment. However dreamcore mimics this disorientation to harken back to the idea of dreams through its landscapes, by utilising nostalgic imagery and distorting them into unrealistic surreal proportions they present a familiar yet unfamiliar visual that mimics that same sense of disorientation and confusion.

How many people *actually seriously* have dreams like these? With the insane wacky colors and completely utterly nonsensical objects?
Because when I dream, the places I visit might not make sense in the big picture, but in the moment look fine. My dreams are more "liminal space pictures" and less "LSD Dream Emulator".

My dreams must be anomalous. I usually find myself in places where the color palette is just... different. Sky is orange, plants are pink, fruit comes in a myriad of colors. Water is chromatic. Clouds are opalescent. I can shrink or grow to whatever size is needed, if i fall i just start flying because i never hit a "backwards".
One time I got to explore a never ending parking garage where each floor had different stores.
Another time I explored a castle that every door just led to another room in the castle and it just kept getting bigger. Like some cheerful, pastel white and red castle.

I know I am late to this video but I have questions about myself. So I HATE the dark and creepy dreamcore images but I LOVE the images including houses and clouds. Why is that!?

Dreamcore teriffies me, i can't think about dreamcore without feeling anxious, my dream (if i remember correctpy) is somewhat normal, nothing out of the ordinary, so whenever i see peoples dream and it being like this, felt teriffying to see
i said this on another video but the images of dreamcore, especially backrooms level ones or open field ones give me the same kind of discomfort as looking at pictures from mars or venus or even the moon. "its so lonely out there" and "this isnt home" are two thoughts that i think cross between the two. not to mention some of them have a lack of scale, so that little bump in the ground could be 5 cm tall or 50km tall and you cant tell. i think dreamcore was probably what got me into space imagery as well.

The dreamworld is a single dimension that is infinitely vast it is a sandbox of memories nonsensical environments and people it can be accessed by us all and an individual's experience there can vary, it is very changeable it's a playground for the subconscious minds of humanity although it's in our mind who's to say it's not a transcendent plain of existence this is why I love lucid dreaming because rather than you being on a set path through this world you're in control and you can explore it and traverse it and look around this dimension
