I think i’d move interstellar and dunkirk both up one tier but other than that i agree with your takes. I also understand why you put dunkirk and interstellar there. solid list in my opinion
I personally admire Batman Begins and actually think it's the best in the trilogy as I think it comes the closest to the source material out of the the three films.
This might be an unpopular opinion but Dunkirk needs more respect. As far as playing with time goes, and how complicated it gets yet easy to understand it is, I think it's his most focused effort
We have surprisingly similar taste. I pretty much agree with the ranking and Sunshine is also a movie I quite like. Any chance you have seen The Dirties?
I personally would have dark knight up a tier, but 100% agree about dark knight rises. There are so many reasons why it just doesn’t work. Oppenheimer and moments are also my two favorites by the way.
I dont get the "Exposition" criticism honestly. I would see it as lazy writing if it was a conventional movie. But his movies are anything but conventional. Obviously you can't rely on showing everything otherwise your movie would be like 5 hours long. At the end of the day "Exposition" is a tool that can show laziness in many instances but I think you have to consider everything as a whole. I think you are taken out of the movie If you are actively on the lookout for it, and honestly it does feel like a bit of an unfair criticism. maybe this sounds like I'm defending the man lol, but i think I'm mostly defending how effective the movies have been as an immersive experience.
Exposition itself is fine, it’s not lazy writing, it’s a critical part of writing. The issue is that in my subjective experience, sometimes the exposition doesn’t feel like characters speaking the way they normally would, and instead feels like the movie trying to tell the audience what’s happening, which hurts the immersion of the film for me. Plus exposition usually isn’t that interesting to watch. But all that’s totally subjective. I agree there’s no way to make inception without loads of exposition, and I really enjoy a lot of the exposition in that film. It’s absolutely not lazy writing, it’s a creative choice that many people love (including yourself). It just doesn’t always work for me.
@@jacksonkruegermovies fair enough! I find interesting the level of reality that feels okay with diálogue. Obviously nolan goes for realy a stylized one. Some dialogue in oppenheimer bothers me at points, but to other's it doesn't seem to. but I would think it all comes to taste so i do get where you're coming from.
im so glad you have this channel now, love your sports page!
Thanks!

I’d have ranked them almost the exact same, bumped dark knight up but great video :)
Tenet is underrated
As far as what i have watched my list goes like this:
On the obituary: Intertellar, Oppenheimer
In the box set: Inception
Still good: Dunkirk, Tenet
Stanley Kubrick tier list he’s a god

I’ve heard of it but I haven’t actually checked it out yet.
Based keeping the Batman movies out of the top teir. I haven't seen too many of his movies, but I also love Momento and Oppenheimer.
Dunkirk is a masterpiece but solid list otherwise. Tenet was a bit of a mess but the action scenes were fun.

We all know that the dark knight and Oppenheimer are S. Tier films by a Wide margin!!!
yikes
Swap TDK with Oppenheimer and the list is correct
lol
