I have been wearing this look on and off since the 90’s. Even pink Pearl or blue/purple Pearl on top of a French which, when did it become the baby boomer look? This look BTW, was worn by the baby boomers first. My mom used to wear this in the early 80’s.
This is a very pretty look and like others have said this is going back to the 60's but not quite exactly like this. This chrome finish is so much more beautiful. Thank you for that very simple and easy video. If you could link all the products that would be so helpful. 😊
Hello, could someone explain to me what is the use of wiping with alcohol please ? I don't understand this story of "no swipe top coat", I just want to have this effect but using a normal varnish and top coat, is it possible ? Thank you in advance for enlightening me 😅😢
Hello! So for gel polish (cured or dried using an LED nail lamp) there is a sticky film on each layer of polish even after curing, so that sticky layer needs to be wiped down with alcohol once the nails are painted and a top coat has been applied, sometimes (like with chrome nails) wiping down that sticky layer off the top coat may interfere with the design…so a no wipe top coat is used (this kind doesn’t have the sticky film and alcohol need not be applied to remove anything). Sorry if it’s a little hard to understand. Here’s a definition from google: “No wipe” means that after it's cured it doesn't have that sticky inhibition layer of uncured gel that is normally there due to the outer/upper layer being exposed to oxygen. Once you put another layer of gel is cures and that top layer normally has gel if it's exposed to oxygen.
Hailey recently launched her own line of Clothing. A British Influencer « Josie » bought a beige camel coat from Hailey’s new line & it cost £1,700 (Expensive) So Hailey’s just doing PR so she gets her name out there w/regard to Beauty & Fashion, kinda like Victoria Beckham- she has Clothes & Beauty Products
Well fashion is that way. It’s always a cycle. For example, High wasted jeans have existed for over a century, however they become trendy every couple of decades. It’s good for such a simplistic look in nails to be coming back as a trend✨✨
This is the exact look I had for my wedding nails 14 years ago - so happy to see it coming back in. I love it and wear it all the time.
What did you use? I don't think there were those powders at that time. I could be wrong.

Reminds me of nails from the 1960's and 1970's, that frosty look was very in. Lovely set!
As someone who used to wear this back in 05’ I missed these nails. I feel nostalgic and I’m glad they are back ❤️

Could you use Funny Bunny Dip powder as the base instead of the Gel Polish?
You can, yes, but it's best to have a milky white gel polish. I've found opaque colors simply make the chrome look silver.
DND White Fur is a good dupe for Funny Bunny
Is it possible if you can put the links in the descriptions. I really want to try this but can’t fine the items.
You have to have a professional beauty license to buy gel polish online or in store.
@@pbower4378 not necessarily. They are available for retail
@@hetvisampat where? I’ve never been able to purchase OPI gel products without a license just like P bower said…
@@lg24kts43 there are other brands to

And what is the machine you dry it in? What is it called? If possible, can you put the link for that too please?
It’s a gel nail lamp
🙄
Ok. But this was IN before 5 years ago? But it's chance to use the old pigments from salon.
that was like 100 quid worth of nail polish
This is not something new. Why is everyone so excited about this look? This type of style has been around for more than 20 years.
Ok? Not everybody keeps up with nail art trends unless they’re into that sorta thing. You need to chill Lisa. Go out and touch some grass maybe.
ok.But it just suits Hailey that much that people are obsessed wit it noww
Ikr!! Lol They almost remind me of the once popular "Cotton Candy" nail polish that everyone used to wear w/ a French mani back in the day.
First time I see it. I love simple.
