Happy to see this great effort for sustainable healthy change in the fashion industry. I have worked in fashion retail for many years and had feelings of guilt and sadness for selling fast fashion as well as observing the waste output of packaging, materials, shipping, and the shops general footprint on the planet such as full blast AC while the doors are wide open, or bright fluorescent lights which are detrimental to birds and humans. The customer does not see behind the scenes, the high waste output and the unsustainable practices in order to present a perfect shopping experience.
I am inspired by Gabby for her efforts to educate humans with her integrity, heart, and introspection. I hope the Laird brand will be inspired to follow this new movement that Eric is implementing. I had a traumatic experience where I had a severe allergic reaction to wearing the Laird brand women's performance legging which is composed of polyamide and elastane. A trip to the emergency room via ambulance , shot in the leg with Naloxone, and a hefty medical bill led me to never want to wear inorganic leggings again. I hope the industry changes toward organics for health and sustainability for the planet.
