On Day 1 of this Anthony Bourdain food tour in New Jersey, we started off with hot dogs at Hiram’s, then drove to Long Beach Island, and finished our day in Atlantic City at the Knife and Fork Inn. If you haven’t seen Day 1, you can watch it here: • $115 BISON TOMAHAWK!! ...
Day 2 - Now Day 2, we spent the night in Atlantic City, although we had to wake up and drive to Asbury Park, then back to Atlantic City for more food and a tour of the boardwalk.
Frank's Deli & Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/rWmVQRtz1SCc7Vp36) Total price - $36.52 - So again, became of restaurant timing, we had to backtrack on this restaurant during the tour - but it was worth it. This legendary sandwich restaurant is a Jersey staple, and it was so friendly. The classic sub was delicious.
Tony's Baltimore Grill (g.page/TBGAC?share) Total price - $32.52 - We then drove straight back to Atlantic City and to Tony's Baltimore Grill - what Anthony Bourdain called a taste of his childhood - spaghetti and meatballs and pizza. It was one of those places that had a real nostalgia to it, and the food as well - brings back the memories. I thought the food was great, and the restaurant has so much character.
James Salt Water Taffy (goo.gl/maps/ZN9buPWY4F1aVTdS7) - Next up we walked around the Atlantic City boardwalk on the coast. It’s a place that’s always full of energy and interesting people, plus amusement parks, rides, and beaches. It was interesting to walk around and also read about the history. Along the boardwalk we tried out James Salt Water Taffy.
Dock's Oyster House (goo.gl/maps/MMDfXBFTjRXPm6zw9) - Total price - $117.29 - Finally to end Day 2 of this Anthony Bourdain food tour of New Jersey we headed to the legendary Dock's Oyster House, one of the most renowned seafood restaurants in New Jersey. Again this is a heritage restaurant in Atlantic City dating back to 1897 with so much character. They have a lively oyster bar, and a great menu of seafood. I headed into the kitchen and met with Chef Stephan who had an incredible personality and showed some of the dishes with me. We then had a full cold seafood tray including local oysters, and finally had an incredible fish dish - one of the better fish dishes I’ve had in a long time.
It was an amazing day exploring the unique city of ups and downs in Atlantic City!
Stay tuned for Day 3 of this Anthony Bourdain food tour.

Chef Stephan is a beast. I can only imagine the pressure of being in the kitchen everyday, and to keep that attitude of good vibes truly shows he is a master.
I worry about that.. you change your place..
the lady making the sub dosent know shes a video star now man they will be busy after the show
ive been in tonys it is old and has a good thin pizza
The Guy Is Awesome! Really want to go there now…!!!!!
I know I feel under the pump when I’m making two dishes at home 😂😂
Anthony Bourdain would be so proud of you right now Mark for doing this in his honor
My husband and I went to Frank’s because of you today, Mark. We fell in love. Now we want to experience all of it. We’ve lived in Jersey forever and never experienced these places before today. But Anthony was always my main reason for travel/and food. You reminded us. We’ve been following you forever also. ❤️ You’re the best.
Just think about hidden gems youve missed for years 😂😂😂
Left Jersey 30 years ago and just moved back. This reminds me of what I love about this state. Can't wait to experience some of these great places.
I love this message. I’m all the way out in California but Anthony Boursin also inspired me to travel and eat as he does. UA-camrs like Mark definitely carry on his spirit 💜
Appreciate you visiting us and thank you for the kind words about our food and our joint.
-The Baltimore Grill
Thank you for running a beautiful business that allowed us to mark the celebrations of our lives such as birthdays and anniversaries etc.
Chef Stephan is a wonderful soul, what a man!
There is no skill involved.... she just topping shits with factory-processed meats and some vegs.... any 6 year old can so that.... there is no actual cooking skill... she too proud of herself for being a skilledless woman.... feel sad for her....
@@KatakBawang LOL, thats not how it works. If you ever worked at a restaurant you would understand that it takes ALOT of skill to work at their pace esp one like that. You're a little delusional.
You ain't lying
So plaza... is your signature a box of kraft?
@@KatakBawang girl stfu and make a sandwich since u so good at it
27:19 was such a beautiful moment! That chef is so wholesome.
Right that chef is amazing and whoever his daughter is she's extremely lucky to have such a wholesome dude as a father ‼️💯 I hope she appreciates him now while he's alive instead of taking him for granted 🤦🏾♂️💯
Wholesome 🤣
@@ayeeequanpsn5896 yeah, most kid look at their father like he's always busy working. Not knowing father always works for his family. It's not easy to get money. The stress of the work. I hope more ppl who had father who hardworking doing what they love gets loved by their family.
Hes the man I met him a few times through my job and he works at a few spots in AC
Omg right that was one of my favorite parts! Like giving the kid the fries to try first just amazing! ❤️❤️
5:56 I absolutely love when people have this energy. When someone genuinely loves what they're doing, no matter how simple it may seen, it's just amazing.
Right person in the right place is just AMAZING🙌🏻
he makes the atmosphere so much fun 😊
That Asbury lady seems off...
Tony's Balitmore Grill was my first job at 16 as a bus boy and Docks is top of my list for seafood. this video is pure gold. thanks for covering AC in such a great light.
Anthony bourdain is the reason im a chef today. rest in peace to a legend
I miss watching Anthony Bourdain and saddened by his passing.
Reason why I became a baker and prep cook
He s a man with a metabolism of steel 😅
Me too. I broke my head skating hills for a living. Read his book while rehabbing in the hospital. Changed my life.
He was assassinated
Hey Mark!! We lost a big member of our Dock's family this week so this video could not have come at a better time, thank you.
Maybe Chef Stephan has a child who he missed so much at home or elsewhere. I dont know his story just an assumption, but i want to know his story. There's something in him towards children ❤️. As an old saying goes "You cannot give or do what you do not have".
He goes towards Mark's table not to impress Mark but for Micah. And even showed the live lobster to the kid. 😭❤️ He was playful and loving to him.
I believe he mentioned l, his daughter lives in Phoenix Arizona!!!
He said his daughter lives where mark does.
Docks should be proud to have a friendly, smiling Chef like that. Kudos!
I really hope that Mark hits 10 million soon. For the amount of content, and footwork he puts in, not forgetting his stellar personality, he deserves that 10m
So you hope that someone who is already a millionair becomes more of a millionair because he enjoys food other people cook? How about hoping that he uses part of his millions to help Children in hunger?
@@wittepanther He promotes those businesses that he visits in his content. He shows the world said businesses, and in turn they recieve more customers. Yin and ☯. And for your world hunger preaching, why complain at one man, and not the government's that lead us? Huh? Save your BS for the flower children
@@wittepanther bro. chill. Worry about your own pockets man you don't know how much he donates its none of your business bro. Nothing wrong w being a millionaire, but you don't have to get mad at millionaires and think everyone is not donating.... how would you know and why even suggest such a thing?
@@wittepanther oh SHUT UP already. You have no idea what he does with his money. And you are obviously unaware that he has promoted local culture and introduces his audience to local culture around the world. Have you watched his Pakistan series? He did more to break down anti-islamic predjudice with that series alone than anyone else out there today.
You are a real sourpuss and very lame. Stop virtue signaling and go back to your safespace and pity yourself.
@@swiiph because he/she/zhe is a prime example of 21st century US leftist education/brainwashing.
Chef matches Marks genuine kindness I love both of them
I love Redelicious's personality. I can imagine people going just to see her as she is a natural entertainer. It's a real science making good sub sandwiches, it's all about the bread and how you layer the ingredients on. I really enjoy seeing what different kitchens and look like during service. Another amazing video from our favourite UA-camr. Mark is always respectful, caring and I love how much he loves food in It's infinite forms. Xx
I forgot to say that Ying (and Micah) is a real trooper and handles eating, looking after Micah while doing filming when needed. This team of three is a well oiled machine. Xx
Can we all give props to how much damn food Mark can eat in one day. This guys the greatest not only for his enthusiasm, video editing and camera skills but also how much food he can handle in a day. GOAT
I love your channel Mark! Can you please take smaller bites? You don't need to shove that much food in your mouth! LOL!
And he doesn’t gain an ounce of weight! Blessed with a powerful metabolism.
No love here. Mark stops short of gluttony and why he puts as much into his mouth as he possibly can is just strange. I don't get his style of eating. It detracts from the food reviews when he does that.
@@imdrrichhe’s successful and you ain’t. So he’s doing something right.
@@decker5032 You have no idea what youre talking about.
I hope Anthony Bourdain knows just how much he's missed. RIP AB
Anthony Bourdain will always be my favorite in regards to his story telling along with respect and willingness to go where others would not and his appreciation for good food. I've been following Mark Wiens and family for years and hey Mark, brilliant idea to follow Bourdain's trail to places he's been to. Please continue this when possible. Love this epi!
I miss him. I wish he was here today with us.
@@davidjamison7459 I don't think he committed suicide.. not for 1 second do I believe it
Anthony Bourdain said Vietnam is a country that he must always go back to. Because of him I've been to Vietnam twice. It's an amazing country with very welcoming people.
Agreed!
@@mmirl9859 So someone came in & hung him? Get Real!
Never be tired watching your videos years after years.
I'm in Philly. Grew up going to AC and surrounding towns every summer. If I only had known you were there! I guess that why you don't tell us way before you go. You'd have crowds of people wanting to meet you. Great video! I've been following your adventures for a few years now. You're energy and kindness are contagious.
I gotta say, Docks Oyster House's kitchen was phenomenal. The chefs were so in sync.
It is a phenomenal kitchen! Run so smooth! I worked there for 10 years !! Front of house
When Micah gets older he's gonna take some of his Dad's tours!! I love it!
Lol, when you showed that shot of the entire kitchen i said to myself..."dang, now that's an operation!". and you followed it up with "now that's a kitchen". amazing work that these guys do!
Thanks Mark & Ying for teaching Micah good manners. I cried when Chef Stephan brought out the fries! Im a FAN for a long time of Mark's food videos. The Bourdain Trail is a FABULOUS idea!❤️⛪BTW, I've read about Bourdain and marked his tragic passing but I've never seen his videos nor read his books. That is about to change.
BUT Mark is the MENSCH!
Yeah... a Kosher Mench. LOL
What an awesome way to honor the late, great, legendary, iconic, Anthony Bourdain. Never met him, but he was like my Uncle in my head. I miss him. What a great episode.
what I need to know is how Mark is able to travel with his son who is so well behaved during these long meals.. Amazing!
When they show him he usually is on an electronic device. We always bring books, paper, crayons and our son is always well behaved.
Simply amazing, Mark! This video brought back so many precious memories of New Jersey. Shout out to the one and only "Executive Chef, Stephan Johnson." Another well-done video series Mark.
thank you Mark, for paying tribute to Anthony Bourdain
This mans mental health is exceptional 👏🏾
He can completely dislike a dish but still eat it and be thankful. I’ve never seen him spit something out or tell someone he didn’t like the Food. Awesome
Redlicious is so adorable, she makes me wanna cry with her genuine love and passion for what she does
Wow, this is definitely one of Mark's most profound videos. Great segment explaining the history and current state of Atlantic City!
The energy of the Sandwich lady is so awesome. That's how you run a breakfast place
Ying's spoon swooping in on the dessert was hilarious. I love it. I am so glad you guys had time to spend in the US. Restaurants had a hard time during lock downs and many didn't make it.
I’m born and raised Jersey Shore. It’s nice to see a video that accurately shows the best places to eat in Atlantic City. Not just the bad parts.
Mark is nice, fun, cool, smart and respectful. Be like Mark.
Give Chef Steph a raise. He thoroughly enjoys his job and there is a lot of love in that food. Can’t wait to experience it one day!!!!
My husband and I are headed to Atlantic City this weekend and we are definitely going to visit Docks!!!! Thanks for the tips on the good places to eat!!!!
West coast here envy’s you! Have fun!
Yes please give update!! ❤️🙏 and I pray you have a safe and healthy trip!
Can you take me with you
Imma be there Sunday for the comedy show differently stopping by docs
Check out Cafe 2825 on Atlantic Ave. Great Italian food. Need reservation as it’s a small place. You won’t be disappointed, I eat there whenever we go to Atlantic City
Kudos to the submarine engineer!😄 The sandwich made me very hungry and it’s already 10 PM!
Oh and that deli pickle did it for me that’s for sure… I’m really hungry now.
Oh no I just saw the pastrami sandwich/ lots of sauerkraut too ,my favorite! Lol
I need to find a good deli tomorrow to get one.
Lol👍
Peace from California
Every time I go to Atlantic City, I always have a reservation for Dock's Oyster House. Everytime I go, i always order a different main course. Dock's is just as delicious as it looks in this video. That place is fresh and AMAZING! 😋
What’s amazing to me is the Grace Mark gives these restaurants. He has more understanding of food, culture and true quality real real taste. Most of the people he has serving him don’t have a clue and he just gives them so much grace. Why I love this channel
So jealous of his metabolism! I don't know how he is so skinny still!
Love you Mark!
Exactly!
Precisely! 😩I gain weight when I think about food
@@user-ey2qv1xk9u Me too...🥺
Something is not adding up. I wonder if he throws it up after.
I really think he should make a vlog about that too.
Mark continues to out-do himself. I started watching his videos years ago, when he was vlogging from remote village restaurants in India and Asia. IMHO his content is better than any others on commercial television. His videos and travel series are epic, and this current US tour is no exception.
I'm going to Dock's Oyster House next week with my wife for an anniversary dinner and watching your coverage of it is making me drool with anticipation! Thanks so much for honoring Anthony Bourdain's memory. He made a huge impact on me and so many people... and you do too!
After following Mark in Thailand and elsewhere, He’s now in my home state of NJ. I live on the coast between Asbury Park and Atlantic City, closer to Asbury. I must visit some of these places, especially the Deli since I love sandwiches.
Mark is living his best life for years. I love watching this channel.

How precious is Chef Stephan?! What a doll!!
I love chef Stephan so much, I worked as a sous chef in a seafood restaurant just like that in Seattle and it was such a fun place to work.
One of the people I admired on Mark's video are the chef's and the crews or even the owners; the hospitality is very nice. Like Mark much humble. 😊💕
Have a safe travel food trip Sir Mark with your family💕
Loving the Anthony Bourdain food tour series! Redlicous was hilarious and that sandwich looked amazing. She truly is a submarine engineer 😂. Good job as always Mark!
I wonder, if Redlicious worked in Philly, would she be called a "hoagie handiwoman?"
Your videos are pretty awesome too!
Looked like forced extraness, actually. But, all good.
The way Mark takes a bite of food, I’m surprised he hasn’t dislocated his jaw yet 😂
I once took a big bite out of a really tall sushi, locked my jaw on one side.
He just crams it in

Chef Stephan is so kind you can see it through his eyes .. what a good soul 😭 May Ahba Yahawah bless and protect you always sir Stephan 🤍🤲🏻
You can see when the food really hits. Marks Iconic yum face is different and more in bliss. Thanks again for all the content !
I love "RedLicious"'s energy in the opening scenes! You can tell she is passionate about her craft!
I rather had the impression she confused her "party pills" with her "work pills" in the morning.
I CAN JUST SIT HERE AND WATCH MARK EAT AND CHEF STEPHAN COOK... JUST BRILLIANT...
I love Anthony Bourdain..he's a legend...I love the people in the restaurants you visited, they're very kind.
You should go to every historical restaurant in the world . That would be a great series. Love how you give a brief history of the places. Keep it coming.
I like when he says, “oh wow!”
Love Mark, with each bite his eyes get bigger, his head shaking up and down and I’m drooling. “Oh wow, Oh wow”
*Chef Stephan in the blue* toward the end of the video is *AWESOME* !!! I’d go there simply because he’s there!!! Food looks good too!!!
I loved redlicious character so energetic full of life.
