My next translation would be "春来发几枝(pineapple retuned version)"
since i'm not skilled of the program, though these flash lights effect annoyed me a lot, finally i managed to cope with it.

It took me over 10 years to finally understand after holding a distorted trauma bond, but here goes.
In this story, a man and woman's relationship has deteriorated beyond repair. The two do not want to end it, but ultimately understand going their separate ways is the only way for them both to heal, thus representing the "Ash" symbolism. In this context, ash represents death and renewal. Notice the two aren't bitter towards each other but are heartbroken they cannot continue. Luo Tianyi at the beginning mentions the petals are withering with love and pity. In Chinese culture, a month is represented as a dead loved one returning, which Yan He describes is "clinging to the pain that is far warmer than the body." This relationship on Yan He's end is described as sweet, yet poisonous, and the flower is wilting away because the colors have been mixed with sewage (trauma, conflict, and the pain both hold).
In the end, it turns out their bond was not a true one but a distorted trauma bond ("This flower bud that is not unfolded has already withered away"). Their relationship could never fulfill the true qualities required for a true, stable relationship and was likely founded on unstable foundations (looks, wealth, fame, pressures, etc.). Yet, the two were attracted to each other because they both understood each others' pain, even with poor communication. The two gracefully break things off, desiring the best for the other, wishing "to become ash at the bottom of their hearts."
