Hahaha. As a Z employee it was nice to see you rate our pies higher than the BP, though they have their good ones on occasion too. Good tip to follow is if you want the more "fresh" option of a pie try and grab any that are loaded at the back behind the ones in front. Not always a 100% guarantee simply due to popularity and how often people buy X flavours but always good to keep mind. Cant speak for all sites but usually between 6am - 10am is prime time for when they should be their freshest. The Meat/Cheese pies are a staple so good chances they tend to be the most fresh with the morning rush and baking new quantities to keep up. Hope you're enjoying your time here. Maybe do a Round 2 and compare us to Mobil? Love their Chilli Con Carne pie. Wish we sold it.

A company called "Dads pies" makes the Bp pies. They have a Bakery in Silverdale where they sell boxes of pie's for $25. They are better cooked at home 2 minutes in the microwave and 4 minutes in the air frier to crisp them up lol
It's always great knowing our pies at Z are better than BP pies. Also, the square shape of the Pepper Shroom pie means that it is vegan. The circle pies are our gourmet range, and the oval are our classics. I recommend trying some of our sweet stuff, especially our new pastry range. I love the cinnamon swirls, pain au chocolat and crodots.
There is a pie shop in Ellerslie (Auckland suburb) called Richoux Patisserie. Most delicious pies in NZ. The Creamy chicken and Mushroom pie is to die for.
This could become a reality TV blockbuster - I would much rather watching you reviewing food outlets than say watching, Love island. or Shortland Street. I am hooked !!
Great videos Brock, keep them coming. A few suggestions; 1. Tomato sauce is compulsory on a mince or steak and cheese pie. With your testing rate you could justify a bottle in your glove box. 2. Try Patricia’s in Island Bay, not to be confused with Tricia’s in Kilbirnie. Consume pie on the south coast. 3. Try Salut pies in Victoria St, CBD. 4. Try Nada in J’ville or Tawa. Raspberry slice for dessert.
If/when you come to Auckland, you need to try Big J's takeaways, their weekly special burgers are amazing, I have been going there for 10+ years, Jason the owner is the man in the kitchen and creates some wicked flavors you won't find anywhere else.
