Long story short. Sky isn't a dating game, don't use it as one ever.

Honestly, even without disclosing your age, some people can still guess a person's age group by their general attitude, typing style, or the type of conversation topics they pick. Some groomers would purposefully talk about school or homework to bait the target & check whether they're in a school age or not. Those groomers might also fake being an elementary/junior/highschooler too to lower your guard :( At this state, even just conversing normally to people is hard. You need to be cautious in picking your topics as to not unknowingly giving off hints that you're still a minor 😭
Also, please, don't give strangers your social media accounts or any kind of personal data. Use different names if you can and leave Sky friends be only Sky friends. Specially if you're a minor. Better safe than sorry.

@Yousra Nawsheen Honestly with the exception of dating sims which are stories not chat rooms. I don't actually think I know of any games that exist solely to cater to the concept of dating people. There are dating apps but you can't hang out as a 3D avatar in those. That's not to say there are no chat room games that might cater to couples. But they don't just cater to couples and there's no implicit assumption that only someone looking for that sort of relationship can participate. To be honest given the memetic mess that is Tinder I'm not sure a chat room game designed exclusively for dating would work very well.

Its really not much different from real life, you can make friends with someone but more often than not they had friends if their own before. They need to accept that no one owes them their time or attention, maybe they're young and haven't figured that out in real life yet.

I had this moment when I was with my veteran at the music shop one time. I was obviously very excited about the idea of being able to try out the instruments since I was a moth (still am really) and didn't have any instruments of my own, so I was pretty much running around while my veteran just tailed behind. At some point I couldn't see him, and I found out it's because another sky kid was talking to him. I intended to ignore it since I thought he was talking to a friend, but it became increasingly obvious that the answers he was giving was getting more personal and he even started to refuse answering. At some point he started honking to get my attention, saying that this new sky kid wants to be shown around. At first it was a bit civil, the sky kid (female) lit my candle and he introduced me. But then "Oh, she's a girl!" answer came from him. The sky kid immediately logged off. My veteran couldn't figure out why (I kinda guessed why though), until she showed up again two minutes later all mopey and annoyed while we're on our way to grandma's. For the next 15 minutes she proceeds to try to get his attention again. Since sky chat is for everyone, my veteran shoots some comment at me often to the point that this gal asked at least 5 times if we were dating (we are not). After grandma, she befriended me, then proceed to say "[veteran] is very nice, you should keep an eye on him as his girlfriend. I might try to steal him away from you." I was a bit confused in my response but she then replied with "Welp! Off you both go then! I want to go around looking for a boyfriend. Bye!" and then she just flew away lmao. Idk what she's doing right now but that's gotta be the weirdest interaction I've ever had in sky

I found a moth a few weeks ago in wasteland lobby, they were asking me if i was a person they knew (i forgot the name they asked sadly), qnd i told them i wasnt that person. They asked me if theres a way they can find that player in the game, and i asked them when they last saw that person and if they had friended them. The moth said they didnt friend them and that they last saw them during SEASON OF ABYSS. So now i had to break to that moth that they'll likely never find that person again, and they kept asking if they could meet the person if they just stood there and waited for them. It was very sad looking back at it, but also kinda funny

I remember lighting up two players a couple months ago. I placed a campire using a spell. One of them was a female and the other was a male. The male player kept spouting love poetry and continued to do so no matter what i did. The female player, however, kept on apologising for her friend. I said that it was okay and we talk for a while longer while ignoring the guy. Afterwards, we part ways. Up until this day i still remember everything quite vividly. We were in wasteland.

Its really not much different from real life, you can make friends with someone but more often than not they had friends if their own before. They need to accept that no one owes them their time or attention, maybe they're young and haven't figured that out in real life yet.

I had this moment when I was with my veteran at the music shop one time. I was obviously very excited about the idea of being able to try out the instruments since I was a moth (still am really) and didn't have any instruments of my own, so I was pretty much running around while my veteran just tailed behind. At some point I couldn't see him, and I found out it's because another sky kid was talking to him. I intended to ignore it since I thought he was talking to a friend, but it became increasingly obvious that the answers he was giving was getting more personal and he even started to refuse answering. At some point he started honking to get my attention, saying that this new sky kid wants to be shown around. At first it was a bit civil, the sky kid (female) lit my candle and he introduced me. But then "Oh, she's a girl!" answer came from him. The sky kid immediately logged off. My veteran couldn't figure out why (I kinda guessed why though), until she showed up again two minutes later all mopey and annoyed while we're on our way to grandma's. For the next 15 minutes she proceeds to try to get his attention again. Since sky chat is for everyone, my veteran shoots some comment at me often to the point that this gal asked at least 5 times if we were dating (we are not). After grandma, she befriended me, then proceed to say "[veteran] is very nice, you should keep an eye on him as his girlfriend. I might try to steal him away from you." I was a bit confused in my response but she then replied with "Welp! Off you both go then! I want to go around looking for a boyfriend. Bye!" and then she just flew away lmao. Idk what she's doing right now but that's gotta be the weirdest interaction I've ever had in sky

I found a moth a few weeks ago in wasteland lobby, they were asking me if i was a person they knew (i forgot the name they asked sadly), qnd i told them i wasnt that person. They asked me if theres a way they can find that player in the game, and i asked them when they last saw that person and if they had friended them.
The moth said they didnt friend them and that they last saw them during SEASON OF ABYSS.
So now i had to break to that moth that they'll likely never find that person again, and they kept asking if they could meet the person if they just stood there and waited for them. It was very sad looking back at it, but also kinda funny

The male player kept spouting love poetry and continued to do so no matter what i did. The female player, however, kept on apologising for her friend. I said that it was okay and we talk for a while longer while ignoring the guy. Afterwards, we part ways. Up until this day i still remember everything quite vividly. We were in wasteland.
