She is speaking TOO slowly, like a stroke victim. The normal speed is at x1.25 in settings. Try it. You don't have to drag your words out to sound calm and soothing.
@@evac.7762 oh my goodness, that's not good 😂 It's amazing that you say that because I'm usually told that I speak too fast so maybe I'm overcompensating!
Love this video. So many channels provide ideas for grand spaces (which most of us don't have). Finally... practical yet beautiful tips and inspiration for small spaces.
Finally tips for ACTUAL small spaces, i was getting tired of those american video's that consider 5x5 meter small and give useless/ ''obvious advice'' like using multi purpose furniture. You actual gave advice i didnt thought off myself! thank you for this video
Beautiful visuals as well as practical advice, as always. However many small homes are in those new built condos, complete with metal doors, windows and standard height (I have one myself). I wonder whether picture moulding will work there? I’d love to see a video on how the aesthetic of this channel can apply to condos. I think there is a real gap in the market for condo design in European setting.
It absolutely can. In fact the foyer and nook with an antique table I showed in the video are from a condo. Typical condo windows are doors are nondescript and will almost recede visually when you apply a more traditional, elegant aesthetic to the walls. Here's another example of how molding/panelling (and a fabulous mural!) can work beautifully in a condo: instagram.com/p/Ck4CUQxJI6T/?img_index=1
Very good, intelligent and well thought advice, not limited to american or european criteria nor mere temporary fashions that would smack of nouveau riche and probably would be dated in no time. If one collects art, persian rugs, or designer furniture, those pieces should be given priority and must be listened to, as they will hang or place themselves where they can be better appreciated, complementing each other. On a generous coffee table, a small blooming plant may lend it humble warmth among other more elegant or expensive pieces…
Thanks so much for your kind words, Rosemarie. So glad you're enjoying my channels. I won't run another Magazine-Worthy class until next spring but I will run my Styling Masterclass in the fall.
so elegant yet not stuffy or predictable beautiful. Im lucky enough to have floor to ceiling built ins, but they always look cluttered or bare. especially if I use different color things 🤥
My living room is small but the ceiling is high - into to V-shaped ceiling. Ive tried so many ways of "lowering" ceiling. The high ceiling definitely gives the illusion of space - decorating it on a budget is a nightmare. I'd welcome any suggestions.
Oh thank you so much, so glad you think so. I am a big fan of ASMR myself but I think I'll leave it to all the amazing creators that are already doing such a great job ❤
Very confusing video. I love the videos that seamlessly show one sample photo after another showcasing what you are talking about. This one has the camera on yourself more than the style, samples you are taking about.
@@kellyhopterinteriors Another way of saying it would be - your examples were beautiful! Would love to see even more of them included in your very helpful videos!
The verbal information is relevant but the visual examples clash. It is obvious that the rooms are large. For example low ceilings will not have chandeliers. The den is large - built in with floor to ceiling 6 shelves per column. Where you film from is not a small space so refrain from using it as a visual representation. As mentioned, your verbal presentation is solid but incongruent with the selection of visual examples.
I collect flowers from the garden & put them in a vase in the main, social room. Other rooms that aren't used as often, I store dried flowers in a garbage bag in a cupboard so that they don't get full of dust. Sometimes I'll use a gentle fragrance oil & let it soak in so that they become potpourri. Built-ins with very few shelves are great for storage (because no one wants to waste so much time moving & dusting a lot of knick knacks).
Why does every post, reel, article, have to say "elevate" all of a sudden? Y'all sure jumped on that bandwagon. For creative people, you would think there would be some variety. But nope, it's elevate this, elevate that. And then the skinny faux olive tree stuck in a too-small pot in a corner - as if there is a decorators' law that you have to have one.
I love it that you are soft spoken. It's so rare.
thanks so much, so glad you enjoy this style of video.
It is not ‘rare’
Rare? 😂. It really isn’t.

Thanks so much for your kind words, Rosemarie. So glad you're enjoying my channels. I won't run another Magazine-Worthy class until next spring but I will run my Styling Masterclass in the fall.
Love your idea and the art, looks expensive.

Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, styling builtins can be a bit tricky - I typically stick to a limited color palette.

Maybe you should also consider “elevating” your looks. You lack any efforts in that department
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. I always say we need more kindness in this world.
