I really enjoy your videos…. As I watch them I always wish I was there; you capture the vibe and the scene very well. Thanks for your hard work and dedication….
I have a magazine article from the 80s about a mid-engine General Lee that was built for wheel stands. It was never used in an episode but the car was really made. Edit: I just found all your videos on the Stand Up General. OMG. Thank you so much for the documented history of that car, the builder, and his daughters.
Haha I was gonna say, "bro I got like 4 videos on here talking about that car" LOL! Thank you so much man, and that's so cool you've got the magazine! Those are very hard ones to find!!!
@@ChunkeyMonkey40Your latest video came up as recommended so I watched it about the mid-engine Fall Guy truck and I remembered the article I have somewhere about the mid-engine General. Then I started going through your channel and I was like "holy cow, this guy has a ton of stuff on that car". I'll have to find the article (I had cut it out of the mag decades ago as I only collected Mopar content). I've been to Illinois many times for work but never made it to that museum. Maybe one day. Thanks for the content; I sub'd.
@LongIslandMopars thank you so much!!! Welcome to the channel, there's a ton of Duke stuff on here and I think you're gonna be in heaven when you see what I'm releasing next week… its gonna be huge!!!!!
@@ChunkeyMonkey40 Cool. I grew up watching the Dukes. I remember when it first aired as we had gotten our first color TV in 1979. Back then the General was just a 10 year old used car. Being as naive as I was, when I saw it get jumped the first time and see how much damage it sustained, I asked my dad "they must have to fix that car for every episode". Dad said "I think they have more than one". As I came to realize, they were destroying many cars including the awesome ex-CHP Monacos and Furys (when you see dual exhaust underneath them, you knew they were fast cop cars and arguably faster than the General). It kills me now to think of all the waste. I would love to have a 440 Monaco with highway gears. 140mph in a brick. Friggin awesome.
Thank you so much Scott!! I don't think I've ever met a bad person at a Hazzard event. I love getting to go up and talk to everyone and hear their stories!
Your videos never disappoint chunky!! Love it. Love that the whole tv community comes out, the survivor was great!! RIP to my man’s dad who passed away!!
Really love that Dodge truck at the beginning, had a '72 just like that back in '83! Also so cool to see a vendor stand with a hot girl {Amanda Canovi} & lots of Covington Georgia represented ✌💖☮
Wow amazing vid and interviews. All varieties of vehicles. Loved to be there.. thanks monkey. Ur awesome. Orange cars matter and beyond..good day. Pick me up.next time so I can hang out lol. Best shows and cars ever. Never gets old
Thank you so much Jerry! I'm glad you enjoyed, there were plenty of amazing cars there and unfortunately I didn't even get to see half of them haha! It was a good time! #orangecarsmatter
Creed Fisher said it best! "There's a million pissed off rednecks just like me And we're all sick and tired of this bull shit on TV I guess you didn't know that you don't mess with General Lee If you have the right to burn my flag Than I have the right to kick your ass"
Hahaha rightttt they gotta start making them general lees electric too 🥴🤣 And the foot is recovered more nowadays haha, this event was back in october. I broke it while dancing at a wedding 🤣
Screw that General Lee car. Now the GMC fall guy truck is something you don't see much of. Big ole root beer truck...I use to take my fall guy truck and run over top my General Lee car...lol..With Storm Troopers piled in the back of the bed..lol.. Square bodies are the best
Shoutout to Kid Rock, it's his 53rd Birthday today! Kinda worked out that I had included a clip of his song Cowboy at the beginning haha!
Cool glad people still love the show and the cars
I think there was upwards of about 20 General Lees at Hazzard Fest, maybe more! It was such a good time!!
I really enjoy your videos…. As I watch them I always wish I was there; you capture the vibe and the scene very well. Thanks for your hard work and dedication….
