I will never forgive John Mulaney for returning to our high school for My Next Guest and telling Dave Letterman that he didn’t understand why our school never invited him to come back because he’s the “most famous comedian who has ever graduated from the school,” as if BOB NEWHART doesn’t have a golden plaque drilled into the wall commemorating him and all the money he has given to the school. My mom doesn’t know who he is, but you know damn well she knows Bob!
YES! Realistically, she identifies with wanting the youth vote! Fine with me. She NEEDS the youth vote to win, and I was afraid she wouldn’t be able to get it.
She definitely can't rely on Stepford wives and their misogynist Bernie bro husbands (same people who f**cked up 2016). Still haven't forgiven those people. Hopefully, some of the stepford wives divorced their husbands and got brains.
Hearing you guys talking about "Joker" recalled to mind playwright David Edwards' great line in "Imitation of Life" to Broadway star Lora Meredith, who's forgoing his latest sophisticated comedy for a chance at "really good" acting in a serious work: "But it's drama- no clothes, no sex, no fun." Hopefully Lady Gaga also heard Edwards' retort and took heed to lighten things up before filming of the "Joker" sequel commenced.
My friend recent showed me this like 40 page Powerpoint presentation this guy made about Jurassic Park and how subconciously it's a story about parenthood that, not gonna lie, has nearly converted me. It's a 7 year old video floating around here on YT if you're curious.
Thanks for the tip about presumed Innocence. It's very sexy imo. I would never have tried it as I tend to find apple TV content mostly quite earnest (in the wrong way)
I find the focus on the coconut saying so weird. I feel it is just a Tamil saying that didn’t directly translate well to english. Like in gujarati we have the saying in the form of “oh do you believe you just magically appeared here?” But the memes have been funny

Great point by Ira, Sam Neil in Jurassic Park IS an asshole, and the character evolves by the end. Nothing like that in twisters.
I hope y'all still plan on watching Longlegs 🙏 was looking forward to your breakdown of it hahah
I will be!

Both Kamala and Charli XCX have Indian heritage … is that also brat?
Ira pronouncing etc as "ex-cetera" lmaooooooo
Who are these "we all loved him" people whom Ira speaks of? I hated the failed wannabe dictator since I was a kid. My parents knew he was awful.
