Amazing jigsaw puzzle! Wow ☺️🧩
Thank you - it was fun to do something different.
Never heard of a scented puzzle, would love the lavender one. It’s great to do different puzzles for a change.
Whenever I see some sort of different puzzle that I have not tried, I just want to grab it and take it home to do right away. Just something fun to do something a little different.
I've never seen a scented jigsaw puzzle but I would certainly try it 🙂 At least you could smell the lavender one xx
And the lavender was so nice that I really wanted to smell the peppermint one. Disappointing…💜🧩
Wow. Your "Asmr soft voice" is so lovely to listen to! I usually find asmr voices give me the heeby jeevies, but yours is gentle and sweet. ❤ If you recorded audiobooks, I'd definitely want to listen to the whole thing!
My favorite scent is from roses. 🌹
I would love to read an audiobook - wish I could make more different sounding voices. I love rose but am not a fan in food. It can be too overpowering.
Too many puzzles? No true puzzler would ever say that! 😜😹😹😹😹😹😹
I know right?! 😂😂😂
Very pretty. Never saw scented here.....would be nice as i love Lavender
The lavender was a really lovely scent.
I have seen scented puzzles before, both in a store and in a thrift shop quite recently, those were rose and lavender I think. I'm asthmatic so I just backed away from the boxes when I saw them :)
I am not the biggest fan of rose - that scent can be so overpowering! 💜🧩
WOW! Scented Jigsaw Puzzle!!! That is so awesome ❤🧩 I will definitely buy one to see how it feels the process of putting together such puzzle ❤🧩
It was definitely fun for the right price. Let me know if you end up getting one, what you thought of it.
These are so cool!!! I am waiting for one of those Fast Food collage puzzles to be...Fries/Burger scented? Lol great vid!
I would love a chocolate scented jigsaw puzzle! 💜🧩
So I just finished watching your video on the scented puzzles and I had a big smile on my face during your voice over for the peppermint puzzle. I was thinking how ‘not you’ that voice was (and I knew it was a deliberate ASMR effect). You are usually so much sillier (which I love, by the way). It wasn’t until your outro, when you were skipping through the lavender field and fell into the waterfall that I really laughed out loud.
Thank you 🙏 for that enjoyable post!!!
🤣🤣🤣 I wonder how many watch until after the "beep" to see those easter eggs?? I can't stay serious for more than a minute - I'd get an eye twitch!!!
First time seeing a scented puzzle! I could see them being popular around Christmas time-think how good a chocolate smelling one would be! Disappointing that the peppermint didn't have a scent...Price is definitely right, though!
That being said, I'm pretty picky on my scents. Anything floral makes my nose itch!
Chocolate smelling jigsaw puzzles!!!! SOLD!!! Take my money!! I am usually not the biggest fan of floral scents - I only like certain ones.
Beautiful images on both.
They were relaxing and fun to build. 💜🧩
Have never seen a scented jigsaw puzzle. Yes I would do one - like you, if the price is right! I like lavender - and lemon. But my favorites are gardenia, lily of the valley, and peach. But I like a lot of scents. So enjoyed your commentary. I did not know that lavender was in the mint family. Thanks for all your hard work putting these videos together. Oh - I participated in my first speed puzzle contest the first part of this month - in Atlanta, Georgia - a regional US competition. Didn't come anywhere near the top - almost last - but sure enjoyed it!
Peach is a lovely scent and I enjoy peach flavoured water. Well done on doing your first speed puzzling competition. As long as you had fun, than that is all that matters. I know the competition will be next level at Worlds this year. Not sure I can even qualify past the first solo round. But I sure will have fun!
Loved your soft, gentle voice
Thank you!
I didn't know that scented puzzles existed. I don't think I would purchase any as I have to be mindful of others in my household. Both images are gorgeous! You're also like me, looking up facts about different things.
I often start looking up information about one thing, and then an hour later I have gone down such a rabbit hole that I'm finding out facts about some other topic completely unrelated to the first! Love doing research.
Exactly! I had that moment the other day in fact and I had to just stop scrolling/reading things after two articles I had read. I could read facts all day long. Shame it was not about puzzle die cuts, which is something I'm highly interested in.
I fell asleep during your puzzle building!
I’ll take that as a compliment ☺️💜🧩
@@fortheloveofpuzzles I could actually listen to your calming voice to sleep better at night
@@TheGamingEevee8 Ah...thank you!!
Image wise I preferred the peppermint one. I have heard of scented jigsaws but never bothered to get one. I have a very strong sense of smell so tend to avoid overpowering scents. I can still remember when mum used to put my chocolate cake in with dad's fruit cake and I could taste the fruit cake in my chocolate cake! I don't like fruit cake. Anyway enjoyed the video and look forward to the next one.
I have heard people complain about food delivery services that pick up orders from multiple places - that they can taste the other food on their own. I don't know if I have ever noticed this personally but it's quite interesting.
This is something that brings memories of my grandmother. I only wear one type of perfume and it is White Diamonds, I enjoy lavender and cinnamon for candles but for a puzzle that would be fun. I am super picky for scents, they have to be pleasant and not overpowering. Wouldn't it be nice if you could personalize a puzzle with a picture of a loved one on the image an their favorite scent? Beautiful puzzle images you have there :)
White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor, right? Love a cinnamon candle! I would love such a personalised jigsaw puzzle. Quick! That's your million dollar idea - patent it!!! 💜🧩
yes, the perfume is by Elizabeth Taylor, I would patent the idea if I had the money ☺@@fortheloveofpuzzles
I would love to try one of those, so cool.
They were fun and something different to do.
I have both of these. The Lavender image drove me crazy! I was worried the fragrances would be overpowering as I don't like a lot of scent, but it was mild and didn't actually seem to get stronger as I worked. I found the Peppermint image easier.
So your peppermint one actually had a smell? Was it pretty strong?
It was EXTREMELY feint, had to stick my nose on it!@@fortheloveofpuzzles
My husband just found those exact two puzzles at the thrift store for $2 each! I’m excited to try them!
Nice!! You will have to let me know if they still have a scent. 💜🧩
In my long university career, after studying at medical school I specialized in molecular biology, in the various courses there was one on the organoleptic properties of perfumes and I loved it so much that I then dedicated my career to it to ten years of cosmetology and cosmetic chemistry. I am a particularly allergic phenomenon and the only perfumes I can use are those of Chanel men, in particular, Blue in winter and Allure in summer, that's all. As always I love you and this video is beautiful and fragrant! 🧡
Oh wow! I would have loved to work in cosmetic chemistry - particularly with fragrances! I would love to design my own perfume. You have had such an interesting life Joe!!!
In the US, some of the Five Below stores have Hinkler puzzles for $5 US. I haven't seen the scented ones in my local stores or on Five Below's website. I've only done one Hinkler puzzle called Winter Cocoa, 300 pieces (no poster). It was perfect for the super cold winter we had. The quality of the puzzle was very good, especially for a $5 puzzle. I also have Hinkler's 500 piece Mindbogglers Artisan Whimsigoth by Elisa Zanoni (haven't done it yet). On Hinkler's website, they have several 500 piece fantasy puzzles. I'm hoping Five Below will get them eventually.
For $5, well worth the money and puzzling fun. I don't mind some lower quality issues in puzzles if the price is super affordable. I only went to a Five Below a few times when I lived in the US. Lots of stuff on offer!
@@fortheloveofpuzzles Last year I was able to get some 300 piece De.bored anime puzzles. I got Jujutsu Kaisen and Haikyu. This year I was able to get 300 piece Chainsaw Man and Spy X Family puzzles. I'm not into anime but I really like the puzzles. The quality of these puzzles were really good too and they came with a poster. Good quality puzzle for $5 is such a good bargain!! So, I always check their puzzles when I'm in the store.
Did the Cool Peppermint puzzle a couple of months ago. Couldn't smell it either. Loved the image though!
I wonder if it was something to do with the manufacturing process or if the scent just vanishes so much faster. 💜🧩
I have seen these here in Greece quite a lot but avoided buying one as I get migraines from candles so was worried this might happen here. I have just completed a 1000 piece Hinkler puzzle of ... Lupins😄 and it was soooo difficult. I thought of you while doing it.
1000 pieces...Lupins... No Thank You!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Glad it made you think of me though.
I haven't even heard about scented puzzles until now😅 i will have to try and find some to build and smell😊
And just a sidenote: I am really shy person in real life so I can't even imagine how you can be so brave/bold/crazy (pick what suits you the most 😅) and just come up to some stranger to ask about a fragrance they are using. At least I know that if I ever go to the Worlds I will have to pack my best fragrance with me and have it with me at all times 😂
“Crazy” works 😂😂 I would love to smell your favourite fragrance! What do you love wearing? 💜🧩
@@fortheloveofpuzzles😂I prefer to wear subtle fragrances. Nowadays I am wearing Gabriela Sabatini's Eau de Toillette which has subtle floral and woody scent. It is a basic fragrance but it works for me. However I was thinking of changing it a bit since I have been using this fragrance for a long time😅 Maybe I will pick something totally different next time.
@@Astronimi If you do change it up, let me know what you get!
I have done a scented puzzle, but I can’t remember the brand. It was a thrifted puzzle and seemed at least 10-15 years old. It was vanilla scented and still held a faint smell. I feel like it was one of the more popular brands in the US.
I almost lost it with your ASMR voice reading about flatulence and other gastrointestinal issues. Such a stark difference in tone and subject 😂
As always, thank you for your videos! I’m sorry your peppermint one wasn’t pepperminty 😩
I had to record that part about flatulence and gastrointestinal issues so many times as I kept giggling trying to keep my "asmr" voice in check. I'm a kid at heart!
Thank you for mentioning that some people are sensitive to fragrances. It would be helpful if more people knew that.
I became so severely reactive to fragrances that I literally can’t go anywhere because there are fragrance chemicals and everything people use on their bodies.
I used to really enjoy essential oils, in fact I used to sell them. But now I can’t tolerate those either.
So now I stay home and enjoy doing puzzles!
I love fragrances but one thing I don't like our stores that have an overpowering scent. Like going into Lush is just a bit too much for me - maybe because of all the scents mixed together. My hubby has trouble walking past the store even. And oh I hate when they try to spritz with or get you to try on hand cream. Nope!!
Oh these are so fun. I like scents but not perfume--it's so overpowering to me. But i would still try these for fun
I would love a chocolate smelling jigsaw puzzle! 💜🧩
Hi Donnalouise. I did the 500 piece Lavender one. The fragrance was nice. I got it really cheap but never bought the other one due to the cost. I wasn't a fan of the oversize pieces really, but i did finish it.
The Lavender pieces all had such a similar prong shape. I don't mind oversize pieces but I can see how they are not to everyone's liking. 💜🧩
@@fortheloveofpuzzlesThe prong shape meant just trying them all to see what fit LOL but at least it was only 500. I've had conjunctivitis in my right eye for a couple of weeks so haven't done much with puzzling. Don't suppose the watching lots of movies on laptop did much for it either though. I'm finally back doing the Pokemon 5000 one and it's getting there. I've probably now done about 3/4 of it.
@@heather6668 Oh no!! I hope yoru eyes gets better soon. 💜🧩
@@fortheloveofpuzzlesThank you - much better now - always happy to see that you have posted new videos as I always enjoy them.
Such a cool concept! Did you find your hands and fingers took on a lavender scent while building? Both are beautiful images!
For a little bit yes but you really needed to rub the pieces to release the scent. 💜🧩
I have the peppermint one. Haven’t done it yet
You will have to let me know if it smells. 💜🧩
hello Donna Louise I did the lavender puzzle I bought it because it was a scented puzzle but I did`t smell any scent, it was a little difficult to do ,
Oh so your lavender one did smell much - interesting. I do think the scent probably evaporated over time. The image was tricky but I enjoyed the sky. I am getting better with gradients.
@@fortheloveofpuzzles maybe I will try another one but different scent
I’ve never seen a scented puzzle but I would have to steer clear. I’m allergic to anything with a fragrance. If I didn’t have that issue I would want to try it though.
Best to steer clear then. I love fragrance so much and have such a sensitive nose which can be a curse at times. Some smells are too overpowering even in the smaller amounts - like fresh garden fertiliser...
@@fortheloveofpuzzles i agree, my issues are skin related which makes it doubly so
I don't like the smell of lavender, and the image doesn't really appeal to me either, but I bought the peppermint one from The Warehouse today knowing there was a chance mine might not smell either, but I figure $12 for an image I like was still a good deal either way. But mine does have a smell! Its really faint, kind of like someone just brushed their teeth near the puzzle, but still. I'm looking forward to assembling it soon ☺️
"Brushed their teeth near the puzzle" Love that description! Maybe I'm glad that mine didn't smell. I hope you enjoy it - the sky was a bit of a challenge. 💜🧩
The delivery method seems to be what causes an allergic reaction in me. For example, I enjoy a scented shampoo or body wash. But a perfume that stays on the skin or a fabric softener that stays in sheets or clothing...ugh! I once came away from a hug with a red, itchy face and neck because the other person was wearing cologne 🙃
I have allergies to plants and bug bites - so I have to be careful. I can't imagine being so sensitive to perfume/cologne that you would get a reaction like that - that's terrible. You would have to be so careful. 💜🧩
I am very sensitive to smells. I only like smells that are very subtle, so I would pass on these. I did one glow in the dark puzzle and the smell was too overpowering for me.
I have a glow-in-dark one but I didn't notice a scent. At least not that I can remember - now I want to go pull it out and see if it does have a scent to it.
It was a chemical smell, I think for the glow in the dark element
