I liked that you gave a shoutout to the artist. I actually have put together the "poisons and potions" one twice. It is fun, but pretty difficult for me who is a pretty slow puzzler. In that puzzle i started with the bright orange and red pieces followed by the DRAGON. I would probably tackle this one in the same way 😄 Thank you for the video Karen, it is always fun to watch. 😊

Learning to puzzle as a team really seems like its whole beast, just putting 4 strong puzzlers together won't suffice. Seeing this video makes the top teams' achievement at the competition look even more impressive, it underlines how difficult the puzzle was, even by itself, so as the third trial in a limited time competition.
Congratulations to anyone who finished it, during the competition and outside of it.

So happy to see you finally got to complete this one! My husband and I picked it up at the competition and finished it at home in a bit more than 11 hours. It was our first puzzle over 1000 pieces. I worked on the sand first and then struggled with that fabulous dragon eel thing. Thank goodness my husband did all the tiny fishies! The artwork is beautiful though! Thanks for sharing the artist's other puzzles. The gnomes one looks adorable. Maybe if I am feeling brave, I'll give that one a try - after doing your puzzle, of course!!

I would 100% want to focus on the dragon first (and no, not just because it's the word of the day lol). I find the scale texture to be easy to sort out, and I feel that it spans enough of the puzzle that it'd be very good to work off of. Hooray for finishing this one!! And hey, divide your final time by four and you plus three clones of you could've done it in less than 2 hours.

I'm a newbie to puzzling, and the third puzzle I ever did was a 500 pc Ravensburger that had Koalas and birds (lol, I forget what type they were). I was so overwhelmed. It's one of those puzzles that frustrated me at the time, but looking back it was the most memorable. I would not pick the dragon to do ... maybe the squid?!

I first watched this video when it came out and thought: "Well that puzzle looks fun. I should try it." Then I got it for Christmas but never had the space to put together a puzzle that's bigger than 1000 pieces. Months later in summer when I did finally start it, I was shocked by how hard it was. I procrastinated working on it for literal months after putting together the edge and some of the most identifyable parts. Now I am back here to compare strategies. So far I am noticing that I did do most sections in the same order as you did, but then just ran out of patience for all the blueish scaly pieces. I guess it's time to grab an extra light and do some good old shape sorting. I just wish I had a bigger table and some actual daylight for that. All that said, I still love this video over a year later, I really enjoy your style and I love getting glimpses into your mind when you pause to talk about what you're doing.

To not have my kitties knock over the puzzles. 🥰 I am 45, married with no kids, unless you count the kitties. 😜 But I'm determined to finally complete a puzzle. Also, I play the piano. That is so my kind of puzzle difficulty and image. I instantly rushed to Amazon and added it to my wishlist 😃

Those pieces made a very satisfying noise being clicked into place.

Way to slay that dragon! I’d do the edges and then “piece out!” I just bought the artist’s Gnome puzzle and I’m hoping to start it tonight.

I've never even done a ravensburger yet but have been lusting after all the Zoe Sadler puzzles since they came out. She just released another one!

    Holy Dragon Batman!
At first I was doubtful if this is a good picture to puzzle, but I can see that the different shades of blue are distinctive enough - I guess that this one would be good fun to puzzle!
If I had a big enough table that is. 🙂

In one of your recent videos you said "I am tired of hard puzzles". You could well cycle through the 500 pieces puzzles under "time pressure" (as if you were in the individual event of a tournament). That won't take forever, it is still hard due to the time pressure and it is still puzzling.

Another great video! This underwater dragon puzzle looks way too hard. But, my Karenpuzzle puzzle arrived!!

My copy of your puzzle is out for delivery. I’m really excited, but I don’t usually do larger puzzles, so I had to order some foam board to make a larger board. I think it comes tomorrow, so I can start it soon.

It's January 8. I'm just now seeing this Mermaid and DRAGON puzzle. It's cool. But I must say, your puzzle is on my Amazon Wish List, but it's been UNAVAILABLE the whole time since I added it the week before Christmas. Hope it comes back soon!

I was thinking that It would be amazing if in the next competitions they also put a 3D puzzle, maybe for the teams event? It's a shame that those puzzles go unchallenged, and your sister would do amazing in a competition like that

They are some pretty skinny DRAGONS on that puzzle. It looks like a good challenging one. I’m glad you finished it this time 😉

Pairs is the most I can do. I’m currently working on a 3000 Ravensburger with a partner and, if you know each others strengths (I’m a ‘sorter’ & she’s a ‘picker’), it can work well but a team sounds too hectic. I wouldn’t know where anything was.

Wonderful, I've been following you for 2 days and I've already fallen in love with your channel because I love puzzles, even though I'm Italian and I really don't understand everything you say.. I wanted to ask you, do you do puzzles for work or are you a hobby.. Are you she was very good at doing it all in such a short time by herself!!

I hope they release Karen's puzzle in less pieces I don't think I could do 3000. Crossing my fingers
