Why in the world would you promote the man who is coaching the worst position group on the team to defensive coordinator that would be asinine.
He's the co-DC and stepped in when Lesley was out against Albany. I really like Andrew Jackson but I would be surprised if ShaDon didn't get first shot as interim. There's honestly no point of labeling him the co-DC if he wouldn't get it. Big fan of the use of asinine. - Asti

CORRECT most do not want to go to a LOSER college and can see it in the enrollment at WVU.
The fake punt conversion, penalty negating a touchdown, and blocked punt scoop and score is the Neil brown era in 2 minutes.
"trust the climb" sounded great in the first 3 years, last year was WVU's best winning season, however paying Brown for results, after 6 years, 3 bowl games, one year with wins over 6, and now 2024 season 1 and 2, but both loses look bad. So no I don't trust the climb, we fired Holgerson for having a better record of winning games, and Brown has 50% wins/lost record after 6 years. If Brown makes it to a bowl game, he will keep his job! Is this what we settle for now, give us 6 wins a season, it's ok!
I wouldn't trust Neal Brown to climb the ball pit outside of the Burger King.
Big Whoop another minor bowl if he goes 6-6. That is SAD that the expectations of WVU and fans have fallen so much after 6 years of BROWN. It is not going to get FIXED until he is gone.
@@pitchshot2868 yes we would be better to hire one of the high school football coaches here in West Virginia and just fire Neal Brown and pay him off. We would probably get better results with the high school coach. I'm not even joking.
Eventually these conferences are going to get rid of the consistent bottom feeders. Vandy, Miss State Rutgers, Maryland “etc” . They will be replaced by better revenue football schools. Those who win in the B12 consistently be go to the BIG 2. B12 will be a feeder system to the Big Boys as will the AAC and other smaller conferences will be to the B12
@@pitchshot2868 some UA-camrs have already talked about some people calling for West Virginia to be kicked out of the Big 12 a few months ago. We are not doing ourselves any favor by never competing.
I don't see us winning this game. Lesley's players have been confused for 3 years. Also, against all precedent, if GG struggles, I"m bringing in Nicco.
Not going to be much better if any. Big time HYPE on this guy and if any good would beat out GG and or transfer out by now. Don't get your expectations up about NICCO. Another disappointment. in the making.

I heard that the new Big 12 officials were told that WVU was the team in blue and gold, but we came out in blue and white uniforms. That's why the calls went the way they did at the end of the game. Then the Big 12 head official claimed he told Neal Brown that if he didn't like it, maybe we should join the ACC. Winners win games, and losers make excuses.
I was out on brown in year 3. So you can only imagine my torment that I’ve known this would never improve for real the past three years…
They have to just fire him, how many more years are we going to suffer with this guy? How long before the Big 12 tells West Virginia to find a new home maybe we could go back to the Big East?After all these years at some point we have to have to one year that we compete for the Big 12 title. Other Big 12 teams and the nation is laughing at WVU football, no one takes us serious. This should have never happened.
Good players regress under the brown regime and if he doesn’t somehow rattle off 8 wins they need to totally clean house and I really don’t see 4 guaranteed wins left of the schedule. I wouldn’t be shocked if Kansas wins by 3 TD’s and unless the defense completely shuts them out then he needs to go.

At this point I am no longer even watching WVU games anymore. Brown and his horrid cast of best friends he has for assistants are an embarrassment...when WVU decides to take FB seriously again, fire Brown, and hire a decent coach, I will gladly come back.

WE have to beat Kansas! Neal Brown is a good man. I want to be careful! He is the kind of man you would want your son to play for but....... He has just NOT gotten WVU to level they need to be! Baker will need to make a move unless there is a major bounce back from this year's start!

Well I suppose not, but then that would eliminate 90% of ALL coaches in college football and all but ONE that I played for. Neal Brown is a good man, family man and certainly an upgrade in character compared to Dana and RR.... would you not agree Steve?
There isn't going to be a change, players will be moved around and again there will be no continuity or consistency in the secondary. You already threw players under the bus when you talked about your bullpen. Well NB your bullpen is your bullpen that you brought in and have hyped up. The consistency your D has shown is to be inconsistent for years. A great corner that you had last year can cover up a lot of issues when you don't have to look at one side of the hash. What good is it to keep practicing what you are doing when what you are doing doesn't work, or only doesn't work in big situations. Are those spotlight situations too big for those players to handle? Every year when we are doing as bad as we are, and have been, we hear it's easy fixes, we come out flat, look good during stretches and then right back to blowing things. So apparently those easy fixes aren't easy fixes at all. We are worried because now teams have a blueprint on how to torch you and it hasn't been this regime's forte to fix these issues during a season. A half-hearted it's on me, we got to get better, it's just some alignments, just isn't going to do it anymore.
Brown to me doesn't look checked out because regardless of him being canned or not he is going to have a job next year. Jordan isnt

I trust Neil Brown he’s been my son’s coach for 6 years.. my son has the upmost respect for that man…. You don’t know how much he has done!!! But also you are not privileged to that information.

Watching GG last year I told everyone that he was the best thing that ever happened to Brown. WVU should have fired Brown 3 years ago. He can't coach. So what happened to GG? Are they trying to market him as a pocket passer and NFL material? I love GG but I never thought him as NFL material. Neal should let him play his game. GG won those games last year not Brown.
He is letting him play his game. Other teams have film on him now and know how to contain him if he runs. He will get hurt as most running QB do.
You guys are so full of it. You never “let a team score” especially when the defense had shut Pitt down in the second half. Offense failed to get a first down on the next to last position. Pitt wanted it more at that point. It’s that simple. Secondary has been atrocious all season and it’s a lack of quality personnel. WVU didn’t have a lot of talent returning.
34 points is more than enough to win a game this isn't on the offense.
A coach literally did it in a Super Bowl and Brown said he thought about it. Pitt was never not going to score there. WVU wasn’t stopping them. No way. - Asti
