Us warriors fans have been extremely frustrated with Steve Kerr for years! People outside our fanbase see the championships and think that it automatically makes Steve Kerr a great coach.. it doesn’t. The man got carried by Steph this entire time, most of the biggest adjustments throughout the dynasty was suggested by his assistants. He is TERRIBLE with lineups, he is limited as what he can do a coach cause he only knows one way. Everytime we complained about him you guys called us crazy but now you will see for yourself if you didn’t pay attention last year at Fiba.

Americans are oblivious to FIBA basketball. All year round, USAB maintains a team of overseas players, G-League two-way players, and ex-NBA players being coached by guys who are out of the league like Jeff Van Gundy and play in home and away games in Nov and Feb during the season and July/August when there isn't a major tournament like the Olympics or the basketball World Cup. It's those games and continental tournaments where you get to see players who aren't in the NBA but should be play the best, most intense games you'll ever find outside of the NBA playoffs. FIBA doesn't have qualifying tournaments anymore, they do actual qualifying windows like in soccer to find out which teams are the best over a four-year cycle than just reward a team who can be great for two months every 2 years.
A world cup is a world cup. USA lost. USA is not a world champion. Olympics is a different tournament.

Only the hosts get in while the rest need to be the best performing countries per continent in the World Cup and the USA wasn't 'coz they lost to Canada. Serbia wasn't 'coz they lost to Germany. South Sudan made it because they had a better W-L than Egypt in the World Cup and Africa only has one slot in Olympic basketball. Same with Japan who were the only Asians who made it out of the group stage. Australia only ever has to contend with New Zealand for the Olympics. USA was lucky that the Americas and Europe get two slots. The other four (Spain, Greece, Brazil and Puerto Rico) had to qualify against other countries from other continents in separate qualifying tournaments a few weeks ago based on their World Cup ranking and gave a chance to those who didn't make the World Cup in pre-qualifiers. Where's Luka, KAT, or Ayton? No Olympics for them... because "the World Cup is a different tournament". 🤡

Nah, Mark Jackson was limited. And I'm a Warriors fan who is currently down on Kerr. Jackson's contribution, and it was a big one, was on defense. The Warriors before him never -- EVER -- played defense in the decades leading to that point. Offensively, though, it was a hard watch. Kerr was the one who brought the motion offense and unleashed Draymond. The league eventually caught up to their style of play, and he has been very slow in adjusting to it.
After the debacle in Vietnam where Team USA failed to even medal at the FIBA World Cup, this performance was a loss in my opinion by not covering the 43.5 point spread. It's time to ask the question that everyone wants to ask... "IS IT TOO LATE TO FIRE STEVE KERR...?"

It was a warm up game. Why does it matter who wins or loses? It’s suppose to be a chance to work on plays and see what works and what doesn’t work. I can guarantee if it was a real game, it wouldn’t be that close. These superstar guys have another switch/gear they can turn on.

LeBron was the reason they won the game, not just the last second shot but throughout the end of the 3Q and into the 4th. If you watched this game the defense wasn't the problem as much as rebounding, the let South Sudan have way too many second chance points, and South Sudan was on fire from 3 even when contested. The U.S. rebounded poorly and were ice cold from 3.

There has been a continual decline in the fundamentals , defense and team chemistry in the NBA for 20 years. Yes, the NBA and the players are making more money. Yes, the individual athleticism and long 3’s are impressive, but the team playing is overall lazy and sloppy.
