Let's go south Sudan! I am Senegalese but I now we decends from Sudan! We share many common names. Complexity and bravery!! All the best I will be watching you my brother, the world ain't ready for Africa!! ❤❤❤
Nothing in basketball that’s for sure. Another overrated team that came close to winning a meaningless game. Then when it counted they choked winning 1 of 3 games. 😂😂😂
@josephbithlongar362 I completely agree. They are headed in the right direction and there's lots of things to hope for and look forward to. Thank you so much for compliment and for watching! :)
Cast offs, with National pride, every thing to gain and nothing to lose, momentum and coming in as underdogs is a remedy for major upsets to "big basketball" countries.. Watching this space from Uganda 🇺🇬 🇺🇬🇺🇬 cheering on our neighbors South Sudan all the way 😊
Manute Bol was the leader that laid the foundation after his NBA career with training camps for refugees, among them Deng’s older brothers when Deng himself was just 5 yrs old in Egypt. His brother took what he learned from Manute Bol and taught Deng and others in training camps to establish South Sudanese basketball diaspora talents as the attendees went on to play basketball in high schools and colleges worldwide. Deng also ran training camps in UK, Australia and Africa during and after his NBA career before taking over the South Sudan national basketball federation and pulling a team together. The rest is history in the making! Bol Bol’s inclusion in the current lineup (despite his present absence for personal reasons) is a fitting cap on the indisputable legacy his father began. He cannot forget this legacy and will honour it with his presence in the team.
Don’t make up things, manut just went to Egypt & was just playing with the kids showing them how to play for just that time, Luol Deng’s brother was one of them, but he wasn’t in any basketball camp. Luol Deng is the one who had the basketball camps my brother & cousins were a part of it. Manut was actually broke & stayed at his friend’s house some times because he didn’t have anywhere to stay. Stop trying to take Luol Deng’s credit & giving it to manut Bol.
@user-hb4kl7jk8q A huge financial risk that has really paid off because of his pride and devotion. Really amazing story! :) Thanks so much for watching!
@jbwonly Thanks so much for the compliment! I really appreciate It more than you know! I work super hard on these videos and to tell a great story! Thanks for the support!
If they had Bol Bol and Thon Maker (committed to Australia), they would be B+/A- team such as Serbia or France. I bet you they could beat the last US world cup squad.
They have 5 guys who played in the NBA, 1 currently in the NBA( Bol Bol) and Waynen Gabriel is a unrestricted free agent who isn't yet re-signed by a team, same for Thor. Bol unfortunately isn't playing, he would have helped them even more.
@Chillmindedpanther13 Yeah, lots of guys who have played in the NBA. Bol Bol chose not to play due to personal reasons unfortunately. JT Thor was on the Hornets last year but his contract expired in the off-season. My guess, he won't have a hard time finding a place in the league. Thanks so much for watching! :)
Any very tall black person i meet, I assume they are south Sudanese. The tallest black woman I have ever seen is of South Sudanese origin. When they stabilise their country, they will easily dominate basketball.
If Bol Bol would have played the world would a really seen his talents NBA coaches would be paying more attention to him The exposure would have been great for that young man especially after beating a lot of teams but because of personal reasons no that's messed up on his part because they could have beat beat in the United States team with him on that squad
@dj9dru Yeah Bol Bol and his size and skills would have helped a bunch. I'm sure he had a good reason for missing a chance like this to represent his country. It for sure would have been great exposure for him though! Thanks so much for watching! :)
@vonniofdoom5590 I think this world recognition will really do a lot for them. It will help with money and sponsorship opportunities. Luol Deng has been a genius on that front. Thanks so much for watching! :)
South Sudan is going to be a problem very soon. They have young players dominating in schools all over East Africa. Many are also shining over seas. The sky is the limit
@Unrruly23 I agree! Luol Deng really knew he had some special talent in south sudan. He's done all the right things to give them a head start and start fostering those players to build an olympic powerhouse. Thanks so much for watching! :)
@iancaldeian That seems like It might be changing soon. As the world continues to get better and different parts of the world get much needed exposure that It hasn't had in the past. Thanks so much for watching!
@migosi11 Thanks so much for watching! :) There's actually a tournament prior to this where the best team from Africa advances. There's some pretty good basketball playing countries in Africa, but South Sudan ranked the highest and was sent to Paris.
@jabulilethwala2669 They have players on their team who have played in the NBA. None of the Players are currently signed on teams. JT Thors contract ran out with the Hornets this year. The rest are in the G-League or overseas. I addressed It in the video :) Thanks for watching bro! :)
