My Brother bought one of these the other day. I got to play it and I found it be a beautifully crafted guitar. Set up to perfection right out the box. And with the flat wound strings it was a dream to play. I have loads of guitars but this one blew my mind and I'm deeply jealous :) Well recommended!
I've been playing this LGB 30 guitar for a few days now, I love it, I play the bridge pickup through a Fender Mustang amp with a little bit of eco-delay, and playing the Scotty Moore style on it, and it sounds exactly like the old Gibson Super 400 that Scotty and Elvis played on the 68 come back special, this LGB 30 is surely a keeper guitar, and those who purchase one will not be disapointed in it, it's a great guitar.
Damn even if you're not interested in the guitar Mr. Benson is just so pleasant to listen, both his talking and his playing. The man is really charismatic
Just purchased this model. It was $1099 at Sweetwater and well worth it. Affordable and sounds/feels great. What I was playing in their guitar room just wasn't igniting anything in me and I talked to the Sweetwater rep and he mentioned this guitar sounded like it would fit my needs. I agreed, so they brought it up from the warehouse. He was absolutely right. I actually saved money because I probably would have purchased a higher priced guitar, but this was more guitar than the other brands I was playing. Bravo Ibanez, you made a fan out of me. Quality work.
"Flashback!" I remember during some of my college days in Pittsburgh seeing George Benson, Phyllis Hyman and others perform. My good old days! Racing home to my art studio in Shadyside, grabbing my LP's and listening all over again. "ONE OF MY GREAT WINDOWS OF MY LIFE!"
I gotta tell I had a gibson les paul and I sold it back to the store . Had it for one year purchased a ibanez AG95 and man every guitar from that time on has been ibanez . Own five ibanez guitars just received my new ibanez AF155 AA artstar hollobody yesterday . And man all of my guitars or hollobody guitars but the super 58 pick ups on this thing sounds clear & bright arch top spruce top .Just on of the best jazz boxes I have played yet.
I agree with George..Build quality on the Ibanez guitars are amazing..could not leave the music store with out the AF105F I was trying..quarter cut maple finish is stunning..great Jazz guitar.
Everything I reach for seems to be waiting for me..That sold it to me right there..George is the greatest jazz guitarist of all times and people have real respect for this genius.... Thanks George for years of absolutely beautiful flavors.
I love my Artcore hallow bod; it's the only Ibanez I have been able to play because it lacks the Wizard neck. The 70s Artist models had nice necks as well.
George can play any guitar and sound great. Ibanez makes a great product. So the match is made. I would love to hear him play on my custom made guitar. Solid maple carved top, hondourous mahogany hollow body. Ebony fret board. What a sound.
There is a music shop right next to where I work, after seeing George demo this guitar I asked them to get one in. $1600 but after playing it for 2 minutes I handed over my credit card. I have 14 guitars now this is my favorite and was way cheaper than my last two a Taylor and a Takamine. George could sell me pretty much anything :) Only other Ibanez I had was an as 120 but gave it away when I moved over seas. Need to start looking at these Ibanez guitars now..
Hmmm some of the comment here are unnecessarily disrespectful to Mr Benson. It's not about who he is and his massive contribution to guitar technique, but as a human being. So back to topic i the Pat Matheny signature model was generally value for money but these instruments really benefit from a professional setup.
I played one at Sam Ash and lady musicians kept coming over and telling me: YOU SOUND GREAT ! I only had one problem, the tuners you may have to upgrade.
G.B. you told the truth, this guitar plays and sounds great, however, for myself, if it had the neck design of the Ibanez AM73B slim taper which I prefer, the bridge pickup on this guitar sounds so good, it captures the sound of the old super 400 gibson, and you hit the mark with this guitar, it's well worth the price and then some.
It's a great sounding and great looking guitar...not a bad price either. I own one and highly recommend it. If you don't sound good playing it, take up needlepoint---it's probably your playing or lack of.

I like to hear George Benson do some kind of Christmas song or something to do that I know he's got beautiful music I mean there's times that I was lost and I would put on his music and it would just lift my spirit though when I I didn't know Jesus then but he still made me happy with his songs and he got a lot of good music God bless you George God bless you I wish you'd do a Christmas song do a Christmas song I sing it with you

I agree,,,I have never had a problem with Ibanez...even their lower range still have a better image and feel than say Epiphones do!
