George I just received my Ibanez GB Guitar Wow!!!!! George WOW I am so proud with this Guitar I'll play it for the rest of my life so sweet easy playing and now I have a sound like yours George you made this right. Thank you, Thank You.
I'm retired and do lawn care full time now, i will be servicing lawns until I get this 40th model. I have a PM2AA with black label Fender Deluxe Reverb amp and love it. I really just started back playing around after 25 years for personal reasons. I considered adding the AF200, but also liked the GB10. This model 40th does look like what i thought was the old GB10 that was really a GB20. This is worth collecting and much less in price than the 30th anniversary model. I realize when making my first Ibanez purchase you get more quality and craftsmanship with these instruments. My first quality guitar was a new Fender Strat 1977 with Super Reverb amp i still have them. The sound I wanted as of recent was over compensated with the Ibanez sounds. Great job on this 40th model.
What a class act. Love this man! I bought the Ibanez Artstar AS153 in Jewel Blue Burst. Such a great guitar, and at $999, an amazing value! My first Ibanez, won't be my last.
George Benson along with his great orchestrated accompaniment is the only jazz act since 1972 that has been innovative and commercial. It is a hard genera to play and compose material for. The fact he could turn a flat sounding non-carved archtop guitar into a music box is amazing. I think his secret was that he understood that carved top Gibsons, D'Angelicos and Benedettos that sound great in recording studios don't sound any better than a cheaper manufacturered guitar on stage. So, he took that fact and delt with it to develop his jazz sound around those handicaps. Aiming to sound as good on stage as well as the studio, he became one of the few Jazz artists to stand out in the last 50 years.
Gotta agree, I’ve always felt Gibson an fenders are wack both on stage or on the studio. Indonesian maple Ibanez guitars for the third of the price? Perfect
Mr. Benson, you will forever be one of my favorite musicians!!!.. The new guitar mirrors your style, grace and flair quite nicely.. May you have continued success and LOVE the new axe...
Benson is the best jazz guitarist that has ever walked this earth. Ibanez is THE best guitar makers that walked this earth. When you hear benson live, you’ll realise that yourself.
I only have a few guitars but, without a doubt one of my most cherished is an Ibanez M312 I've owned now for about 30 years. Little did I know at the time it was only produced for one year, 1982. By far the best playing 12 string I have ever played.
Maybe not with the low end models, but from mid to high end Ibanez you seriously get fantastic quality for very affordable prices, I also don't think any other company can compare when it comes to their versions of the Floyd Rose.
this guy could kill on my old Silvertone w Sears amp honestly thought he played the Gibson hollowbody all these years, smart to sign up the best guitarist were likely to hear in this lifetime
George Benson once attended a Prince gig and handed a GB-12 to his Royal Badness. Prince, ever the gracious one, took it onstage right away and has played it throughout his life. s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/39/6a/09/396a09e3d642e4f49f72aa5f6981805e.jpg
Just know a bit of George when he is the first singer who sang “Nothing Gonna Change my love for you” perfectly. What if he use his signature Ibanez to perform the song again ?
Japanese guitars should be worth more. Those people have been know to work with wood in ways no other culture has. Just look at there houses they live in. I want that in a guitar.
There is only one George Benson guitar that will stand the test of time. And that's the GB10 in natural. All the others are just gimmics. That guitar is just perfect. There is nothing you could improve apart from the constant pickguard problem which has become a pain in the .... I have an old one from 1980 with the pickguard issue and one from 1995 with no issues. The GB 10 is the best Jazzguitar ever.
The guitar he presents in this video clip is not the 40th anniversary model that's selling everywhere for under $1,500.00. The guitar that he presents is a blond GB12 made in 1978 and how do I know this...I have the exact same guitar. So somebody goofed this clip up royally ?
Fujigen made Ibanez quality not great these days. Just got a new AS2000 $3K top end unit with one thread hole stripped, tooling issues on the acrylic binding, settings all wrong and one Gotoh machine head very hard to spin. I have a telecaster made in Indonesia of better quality, and it was 1/3 of this Ibanez. Called Ibanez and they told me to ship it in the only one location they provide service in US on my money. Very disappointing! Ibanez, I've promissed you a video on youtube about what you sell and how you treat your clients. That will come shortly, I just purchased a GB10 so now I will be able to provide a broader picture of these issues. Sorry George, this video doesn't do you justice, but we all need a salary.
first class player, person, guitar, and guitar company.
This is how to be an icon. Brilliant, cool, AND gracious.

"they treat me like a guitar star"! Beautifully humble.
This is how a win-win chemistry started and carry over.
Grateful for having your music in my life.

"The Cooker" by Benson has some of the greatest jazz lead lines of all time.
Mr. Benson, you will forever be one of my favorite musicians!!!.. The new guitar mirrors your style, grace and flair quite nicely.. May you have continued success and LOVE the new axe...
Thanks for a most enjoyable Presentation by George and Ibanez Guitar... ...

I was lucky enough to purchase a GB40th and it is the best 6 string guitar that I own.
Oh man, that's beautiful... God bless George and Ibanez.
Congratulation George. You are a inmense inspiration for people who loves music.

Can’t say I’ve ever played a bad Ibanez at any grade
いい動画でした。信頼関係がとても深いですね。ちょっと感動しました。
G. Benson forever......great music....
Such a quality person, respect
interesting story. a great musician and craftspeople really coming together to produce something memorable.
Mr Benson that's (40) a real GB10 from the old days. The 40/2 looks great also. Thank you great video. MJ
The reason Ibanez have you treated like a guitar star is, simply put, because you are a star!
What a legend.
this guy could kill on my old Silvertone w Sears amp honestly thought he played the Gibson hollowbody all these years, smart to sign up the best guitarist were likely to hear in this lifetime
I think the L5 is utilized in the studio, and GB10 and other Ibanez models on stage.
AMAZING PLAYER, AMAZING GUITARS!
Remarkable talent, but how you achieved your your fantastic tone along with clean fat fast lines is simply the greatest.
Beautiful guitars!
I have two of the lower cost models. An AEL30 and a semi hollow body. Both are Transparent Blue Sunburst and they sound amazing.
Such a cool cat, he comes across as the kind of man you'd sit down and have a drink with and laugh all night with his anecdotes.
Such a classy man and an incredible talent.
I love George benson he's so kind
Magnificent!
I havent gotten much into george yet but man, this video is beautiful

This is the American One
George Benson (via Lemmo) is single handedly responsible for my giving Ibanez a bunch of my money someday.
So basically George benson 5:18 is an innovator of guitar by being the first midsize guitar jazz Box guitar ??
What a bad ass
There is only one George Benson guitar that will stand the test of time. And that's the GB10 in natural. All the others are just gimmics.
