- Hiking In Denmark - Why it is NOT my choice for OutdoorLife
Hey guys and girls.
In this video I will be talking about a subject ive gotten quite a few messages about, which is
“why dont i do most of my adventuretrips in Denmark where I live?”
“Is Denmark not a good place to hike or do adventures?”
“I wonder why you do most of your adventures in the country you live in, isnt that easier?”
Well in this video I will be answering those questions, on a little dayhike in the Danish nature.

Link to the where you can see where in Denmark where you are allowed to, and are free to put up your tent and spend the night in the danish nature:
naturstyrelsen...
Just put up your tent, and don´t worry too much about it!
Of course, leave no trace and bother no one. In my experience at least - no one is bothering you!
Alt godt og god vind 😊
Kingdom of Denmark has mountains, the highest is Gunnbjørn Fjeld 3700 meters high. Highest mountain i Norway is Galdhøpiggen, 2469 meters. We got it all.
@@Gert-DK true. we have mountains in greenland and also faroe islands. But i’m
of course talking about the mainland of denmark here 😁🙏🏻
Could you make a video on those forests where is free to stay overnight?
Nice day trip Hawk, will be looking forward to that kayak trip.
Thank you my friend 🙏🏻 yes me too really 🔥
Nice Video! Actually, I didn't even know that you live in Denmark! I thought you live in Sweden or Norway... Now I know that we are practically Neighbours! :-)
Greetings from Germany!
P.S: couldn't stop laughing at 27:24, your face was hilarious!! 🤣
Hi Maik!
Yeah one would easily think, since im there so often (Exept in theese corona times unfortunately). Hahahaha yeah the EXACT moment I said it, I was thinking omg...did I just say that!? Haha....Ima delete this! And then I was thinking noo...Cause this is seriously just so, ME.....Typical me haha.. So i left it in the video haha :P
Yeah we actually are :P Germany defenitely has some nice nature too thats for sure. And MOUNTAINS!!! As said, our socalled mountains is like a childrens bobsled hill compared too that... haha
@@ExpeditionHawk Jepp, we have some nice Nature, but we literally have the same "law problem" here as you! Even in the forests that belong to the state, you are not allowed to camp, except some very rare exceptions... Whatsoever, when all this crazy virus sh*t is over, I will pack my Family into our Campervan and explore Scandinavia! Thats for sure!
@@maikoutside it is exactly the same in denmark. Its only very few places, and many of them are at a size where you can walk from one end to the other in 10 minutes 😂 not quite my idea of adventure 🤣
Nice video and a great Channel.Thanks a lot !!! ATB:Søren
Thank you very much søren 🇩🇰🙏🏻
Looking forward to your kayak trip 😉👍
Me too! Its gonna be great 😁🙏🏻
I plan on traveling to Odense to visit a friend fairly soon. I grew up in the U.S. Rhode Island where they had seaside cliff ringing Narragansett Bay. How do I find where I go to hike to those seaside cliffs. Also, I'm looking for a nice deciduous forest near Odense to hike as well.
Do you have instagram, ill dm you some details
I was curious how easy, or how inviting the danish are if you approach a house and explain what you're doing there and your intentions and come in peace. Will they accommodate you?
Would they be weirded out by a passing backpacker?
I tried cyking around Bornholm (I think it was at least a 4 day trip, but it was many years ago), were we went low on water. So on our way from one camp area to an other, we stopped by a farm, and asked. And they gave us it, very nice. From my experiance; It's not about where in the world you are, but the kind of people that you ask...
However I find the more, the people, that you ask, understands what you are doing, the more they don't mind sharing, those kinds of things (Like the farm, we went to)
It depends who you ask :) But most people, regardless of age, will understand english. And most under the age og 65 you can have a conversation with. Most people (universally) will understand thirst, and will be happy to help, I think. Maybe some will be apprehensive because of fear. So try to not look scary ;)
Greetings from a dane :)
Going to copenhagen for 3 months to work on a project. My personal project is being to plan my hikings!! Hope I can rent a kayak somewhere, it looks like out of season for this period of the year. Here in Brazil we have it the whole year lol.
that sounds awesome man. i do believe kajakhotellet.dk rents out all year. if i remember correctly, let me know if i shall check it for you.
they have two spots for rental, one of them being in copenhagen central by the channels. i would recommend that one if you are gonna stay in central.
let me know if u need any help with anything 😃👌🏻
some day you should hike with Bjorn
In always up for a cool hike 😁👍🏻
if you had only 10 usd from each of your 1000 subscribers, then the alaska trip would be so much closer ;+) CanaDave.
