    Jason you are a natural...in front of the camera as much as you are in back of the camera...once again thank you so much for the little tidbits of RVing and now... flat towing.....the part about the bungie cord to keep the jeep in 3rd gear is so helpful for someone starting out. And also just having the extra vehicle to get you to those amazing places you otherwise wouldn't be able to get in...George...just saying!!! :)))

      Wow.. thank you. We just hope that our story, talents and zeal for life can get picked up and spread to larger and larger audience. And... as an added bonus teach people about bungee cords and 3rd gear 😂🤣

    I can’t imagine not flat towing. I don’t want to take my whole house if I need to run to the store and get some milk! We first flat towed a 4 wheel drive S10 Blazer with an electronic transfer case. That transfer case failed once in Flagstaff which was not a fun time. For the last 10 years we have flat towed a Honda CRV and love it! It’s so easy and it is lighter than the Blazer. It is harder to find things to flat tow now that are not extra heavy. We will probably go the Jeep route when the time comes. My wife would get one tomorrow if money was no object! Great video! Thanks for sharing.

      Same. We see so many class a’s and c’s without a toad and wonder... umm... so what happens when... but preparation can certainly take care of many trips to the store. Our life however, of adventures and off the grid destinations require us to have something smaller than 35’ and 21,00bs 🤣😂

    Good information. We have decided for now to not to a car just don't know that we want the hassle right now. we are carrying e-bikes that we plan on riding around the towns and such that we go through. Thanks so much for sharing. Lynn and Danny

      This is an interesting approach really.. I suppose if you really did plan out your trips with all the things you may need and the essentials, it’s totally doable with just ebikes 🤙🏼😃😎😊
      Add 2 kids, a dog, a parrot and a partridge in a pear tree... 🤣😂 well, that becomes a bit more of a challenge 🥴😮🤣

    Awesome info, thanks! I've been a Jeep owner for a number of years and going on my second year weeekending with an RV (Class C) and I just haven't married the two together yet. I know everyone who has a toad says it's totally worth it but I guess I just need to make that leap of faith one of these days.

      We can hear you on this @Jim Gibson - we would say jump. Believe it or not.., we have towed 1,000’s of Miles with a light set-up and even the tow bars from harbor freight. You can make the leap. It’s an inexpensive way to really see and learn the freedom that can come with towing that secondary vehicle. And, depending on the size of your C, you may not even notice that much of a difference. Food for thought!!! Any questions about it and we are always here..

    Our flat-tow game is junior varsity compared to watching y'alls senior high game. We are 100% positive that we know 0% about towing a vehicle behind a rig...try working this math on a Ti82. The jeep sounds like the way to go in our opinion as well. Gives you a great vehicle to explore the urban life and a great option to get off-road and have some adventures....this all sounds well and good but keeping it all held together by a $1 bungee cord? We see you 🙌

    • @Ournotsoperfectlife
      @Ournotsoperfectlife  3 роки тому +1

      Oh no oh no.... not $1... that bungee is certified “Big Lots” from there little bungee cord container. You get like 50 of them for $3.99... so realistically, I’m betting on my shifter not popping out of gear with a bungee that is valued at 0.0798¢
      That’s reassuring eh???? 😂🤣😂🤣

    Great video! I see you didn't mention anything about a supplemental braking system for your Jeep. Not sure what state you live in, but most states require a supplemental braking system by weight for the toad. Most states require it for anything weighing 3000 lbs or more.

    • @Ournotsoperfectlife
      @Ournotsoperfectlife  3 роки тому +1

      Really went back and forth on whether or not to mention this... in the end I decided not to bring it up because of so many different state by state laws. I did cover the fact the watcher should check laws before they go... but possibly I could have mentioned a supplemental system.

    You do not need to have the transmission in gear. With the transfer case in neutral you will not be turning anything in the transmission. If you were turning the transmission in gear you would also be turning the engine which is not happening when your towing it.

      Not all flat-tow vehicles are alike and we wanted to show what needed to happen if someone had a Jeep like ours.. good point tho!

      Hey Jorge. Not sure about the Mazda, but google was our best friend when learning how to flat tow. We researched a TON!
