I recently got 3 bu DD pennies from 1972 at an auction for $25 (for all 3) ! They are already in 2x2's as well!

I recently found a 1976D Lincoln penny. I discovered it is smaller than other pennies. The size of a dime. Have you ever heard of or seen one like this? It has normal coloring.

I actually have a question not a comment. I found a 1970 s lg date that has some mild doubling on the obverse but on the reverse I found what looks like a triple strike. Lincoln has 3 heads and the FG initials are in place however just above and to the right is another weak FG and then the right side of the N in(CENT) has a G initial protruding from it and the T in(CENT) has the F protruding from it. It's not an uncirculated coin but it's in good condition should I pay to have it graded?

Hi guys, I metal detector the city parks of New York City I found so many coins more than $300 total.
1.the majority of the nickles, dimes quarters are black or "pinkish" color
2.the pennies varies from Indian heads all the way to modern ones but the colors some are black but have all the details and little lines ( I do have a coin microscope).
Some are red some are like pink some are brass color and some cooper cool others are eaten rust and holes.
I can see some double die errors and stuff but because of the way the coins looks I wonder if is appropriate to send them to a grader?
If anyone knows a way to clean the coins, please 🆘

I have 1968D Red penny. Is an error coin. This 1968 penny have VDB at the rim, plus die bubble on the monument, rare toning and DD. Is this a rare find😀. U will c it soon as I get it graded

i have a 1971 D penny that is defintely thicker than other pennies i have. i weighed it out and it came out to 3.1g

Look up sold listing on eBay for what a specific coin has sold for recently.

No. Depending on the metals composition the rate and amount of oxygen will regulate the rate at which coins oxidize or react with oxygen to form an oxide of the coins metal like zinc oxide for example

I don't understand the difference between a large date and a small date. Is it the shape that makes the difference? Also, why do some coins of the same type have really thick lettering and numbering vs others that just seem normal thickness like the majority?

On the penny struck on a Dime planchet I would have thought it was a 1943 steel cent.
How do you tell if the meatel penny is real?
Uncleaned it's difficult to see errors. Does oil hurt the value? Oil restores metals, correct?
