My name is Eric and I travel with my cats, “Tara” & “Opie” in a 24ft 2002 Ford Bigfoot Class C and tow either a 2014 lifted Smart Car named “Tater Tot” or my 2012 Harley Softail Slim named “Black Betty” in a 6x10 trailer. We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round since 2010.

My great grandfather flew those aircraft after WWII. He was training other pilots in the military when the trainee made a mistake and took the entire aircraft down. He unfortunately didn't survive and neither did the other 2 airmen. It greatly impacted our family for generations.
Interesting. 🤔 I had a grandfather, and his brother, my great uncle, who flew in WW11 as well. Both survived, and lived to tell! 😮
Great grandfather, their dad, was in WW1, and also worked in the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show for a while! 🤠 Oh, the stories he told!

I was in that same airplane in Oct 2015. I was a flight instructor and had flown to Colorado Springs from Cheyenne with a student and stopped there to have dinner. We also ate in the airplane. It is so good to see that nearly 10 years later, it is still open to the public to eat in. Thanks for showing that great piece of history.

We run 13 USFS campgrounds 2 hours south & west of I-25. I volunteer to clean the potties at 11,500 feet because it is about 58 degrees there when it's 98 degrees in Denver. Have a safe trip guys!!!

Black Hawk Colorado is a wonderful place if you want to go visit. BLACK HAWK is built on a mountain top that was placed on top after the area after Dynamite-ed, so the casinos were built and placed there. I was there many, many years ago. I loved it there, you would too. ❤
An old KC-97 refueling airplane! I noticed the flight engineer panel has all the instruments removed!

Hi Eric. I’m a longtime sub, I think since around 2016. You were the first van lifer I ever watched. Then I watched some of the others from the old tribe such as CC and Ausia, and CVK. Now you and CVK are about the only two left and I watch you both all the time. I enjoy your videos so much and your videos with Diana have been fun. I have a suggestion. Next year why don’t you come east again and include the huge bike week rally we have here in New Hampshire? It is called Bike Week here and it is the oldest bike rally in the US. I think it began back around early 1900s. We get about 300,000 bikers every June and there are tons of vendors and biking events. It is a 9 day event including two whole weekends. I think it runs from June 14 to June 22, 2025. There is a lot of camping here and they have special camping area just for the event. There is a huge Harley dealer in town. The world’s largest indoor arcade is located here in the area as well. It has a bar in it and a pizza/burger (not sure if they have tater tots 😂) stand and even a bowling alley inside. Not far from here is also the Louden Racetrack. There are tons of things to do and see in the area. You can look it up online just search New Hampshire Bike Week or Laconia Bike Week. This summer was the 100th anniversary of it. You should reserve a camping spot real early if you are planning to go. I think it would be a great start to your bike rally adventures next year. Have fun at Sturgis.

Great video! I've had dinner at that airplane restaurant. (Originally from Colorado & have lived in both Colorado Springs & Lakewood). We just returned from a 3-month, 10K+ mile RV trip from FL to the NW & down to the San Diego & back to FL. It was HOT just about everywhere, except the mountains of CO & in Oceanside, CA near the beach. We've already decided not to travel in the summer next year. PS Love seeing & hearing about your kitties. Have fun in Sturgis!

Colorado Springs is home of the Air Force Academy,my Nephew graduated from there, in three years Hell have put in his 20 years and his wife only has 4 years, I’m so very proud of them both. Love your gal what a sweetheart! ❤ ❤

We HAVE eaten at the Airplane Restaurant in Colorado Springs! Way cool! Also, we have a 32 ft Class C pulling a Jeep Cherokee and on average get around 8 mpg, so wasn't surprised! Enjoy your journey!

Hi Eric, this is Eric. I've lived in CO Springs for over 20 years, never been to the airplane restaurant. I think we will try it out during the fall after the temps start dropping. I have been to that pilot many times. Actually I live about two miles from there. The gas got cheaper when a QT opened next door in the past year. Traffic is a mess there due to the road work on Baptist Road.

Where I live in Colorado we had heat wave with temps just over 100 for damn near 10 days. As a Colorado native I can tell you that these temps for this long is extremely unusual. Brutal.

We were in Keystone SD the week before Sturgis week, and went through Sturgis also. Yes, it was HOT! 90 + in our campground in South Dakota, hot in Colorado, Nebraska, Wyoming as well. We stayed in campgrounds the whole way so we'd have AC, cuz we don't have the solar setup that you have.

Swamp water in Canada.
Chaining your generator to an aluminum latter is not secure. (a good pull and the screws that are into plastic will rip out. Aluminum can be cut easily) Just as easy to chain it around your hitch or axle.
I suggest hooking to the frame instead of the ladder & a shaker alarm on chain. 👍

Eric, did you know that when returning slide-outs back in to place, that a door or window should be open for the displaced air flow to get out? Can cause damage to the slide out if not done. Have fun on your big trip to Sturgis. You both are looking so good!

So many things I want to know over the years from of a once great UA-cam channel.
• What happened to Berthas battery system?
• What happened to Berthas roof water system?
• What happened in Eureka California after that incident
• What happened to “Urban camping”?
• What happened to “Boondocking”?
• What happened to the original quest of your channel?
• This list goes on and on, and I know the questions will never be answered since these questions have been asked many times only to be answered with his many insults. He said the questions were answered in the videos, which there were NOT!!! When 200 people ask the same question OVER and OVER it becomes apparent that it was not ever ansered.
This is why this channel very quickly went to 200,000 members only to come to an almost complete stop. I watched the best channel on UA-cam only to become a preposterous “quirky” channel that no one cared about.
Why? This could have been a top UA-cam RV channel. I loved the original videos. But they lost their way.

We were just there in Feb for my Grandma's 100'th Birthday! My kids each got to "fly" that plane. then you need to go to the museum right behind there at the airport! it was AMAZING!

Once upon a time in 2014 when colorado was the only state to have legal rec marijuana, that spot you started the video at, Trinidad, was the world's most busy hub for people driving to try legal marijuana, I remember doing it several times myself, and it was such a magical feeling to drive up into the mountians for some seriously amazing pot. see liscene plates from all over, hundreds of people just pouring into trinidad from the south to try the weed. Like the best I have ever had, every time I went. On my trip in 2023, it was all meh quality, I was so sad the that amazing magical place let the quality drop so bad. Now if you want quality like what they were selling from 2014-2019 you have to grow it yourself, and that ain't easy. :( I miss you Pre 2020 colorado pot.. you were so sweet, and so good I will never forget. Trinidad is still a cool little place, but it is sad that they no longer have the world's best weed. It was so good in fact that many times I was in disbelief.
