My name is Eric and I travel with my cats, “Tara” & “Opie” in a 24ft 2002 Ford Bigfoot Class C and tow either a 2014 lifted Smart Car named “Tater Tot” or my 2012 Harley Softail Slim named “Black Betty” in a 6x10 trailer. We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round since 2010.

LOL, when you showed the raspberry plant I laughed. Both the strawberry and raspberry plants will spread. The raspberry can take over the whole plant area if you let it.
I planted strawberries under my raspberry starts last year. This year my raspberry choked out the strawberry and spread out about 10 feet and 3 feet tall. Not sure how they’ll grow in the desert though. I’m in Oregon.
@@redsoxclover11 You have to cut out last years growth (stocks) and the runners spread up to 10 feet a year. I spray me runner stocks with lawn weed killer and it kills the runners but not the main stocks. I put down plastic and pull the runners when they pop up beyond the plastic. I usually run about 5 bunches. Tons of berries. They do need a lot of water though.
@@rvwithbob I haven’t cut any stocks yet because I wasn’t sure if they were overbearing or summer bearing. That’s a this year project.
@@redsoxclover11 You need to cut out the ones that are looking "woody". The bark is starting to peal and they are the darker brown ones. They will not produce fruit anymore and only suck the water and create thorns. It's a yearly thing. Go look at them and you'll see the difference.
@@rvwithbob I watched a few videos . I just have a lot of experiment garden going and haven’t gotten to that part yet. I am growing corn, cucumber , watermelon, zucchini, butternut squash, asparagus , potato, tomato , 4 blueberries , raspberries, golden raspberry , three types of strawberry , mint , basil, rosemary , thyme , sage , green and red grapes, peas , beans. I also planted two apple , peach , cherry and almond trees and have two established Asian pear trees. Plus my chickens , rabbits, pig and quail. I definitely went overboard but I’m getting it. Thanks for the advice . I will definitely look at them today! Probably lol

The strawberries will expand themselves eric, along with the raspberries, years ago, i bought a potted raspberry bush, but I never planted it.. it grew out the bottom of the pot and now consumes about a 10x10 area.. , the roots turn into new plant shoots
I was going to say this same thing. You may want to put the strawberries and raspberries in their own bed with something in the ground to stop the spread.
Strawberries often wait until the second year to produce berries. Just be patient.

Blue spruce is a favorite of mine having grown up north as well as living twenty years in Colorado. You’ve created a nice homestead for yourself and friends. I was one of those people that thought the pool should be out under the sun. When I first saw you putting it under the solar panal, I just thought, that's a weird place. But I have grown to really like where you put it ! kinda neat under there, with the t.v., the shade, and heck if you can set the water temp to whatever you want to be comfy, than it is working great.
Also less opportunity for skin cancer!

Glad you finally got a real hat. Those types are a must for climates like that. I wear one with a built in neck flap too. Sunscreen too when working out for 30 minutes or more. Skin cancer is easy to get

I have a full size hot tube sitting on top of my garage outside my bedroom patio. Always thought a hot tub in the summer was like ice cubes for Eskimos so it only gets used at night, when there's no sun. You keep setting down roots there you'll have to change your handle, but it's coming along and looks great. Enjoy it all...

If you are so inclined, rosemary is wonderful to plant. Drought resistant, smells so good, use it in cooking (with steak, mmm). Also a great bug repellent! Take a few sprigs ( I usually wet them) wrap in foil, poke some holes and put over a campfire. Helps keep away mosquitos and such. So easy to grow and the little flowers on it look pretty. Happy you both found each other. My husband and I were friends and now we've been together over 30 years! Much love to the clutter of kitties!
I am with you leaving the tub in the shade. Happy to hear you two have taken your relationship to the next level and most important are happy. Arbs love water so do not plant near your septic. My sister had a neighbor who planted a hedge of Arbs. Her septic was right near there. When they pumped her septic they had to go in to grind up the Arb roots that had broken through the septic looking for water.
Congrats to you and Dianna. I like where the hot tub is. Less chemicals needed, and way better for your skin. Pretty place for Jax ♥️. You might think about filling some gallon jugs with water, and put in the freezer. Costs less to run a freezer when full, and if you lose power, you won't lose the fiod in the freezer for a while. 🙂👍

Relationships are better & stronger when your friends with each other first. The small little shrub is probably root bound, you should get it in the ground ASAP. As for the blueberry plant, they like acidic soil and it's better if you have two bushes for pollination and therefor more berries. Like your work style: do a little work, take a break in the heated pool, then repeat. 👍
Hint: Get 1/2 gallon or 1 gallon milk jugs and fill them 3/4 full with water squeeze out the air and freeze in the chest freezer. 1 or 2 at a time. If, for whatever reason, it stops working , it will help keep it cold longer while you get it fixed. Also, get a small container (4 oz or so) and fill about halfway with water . When the water is completely frozen, put a nickel or quarter on top and sit it in the freezer. If the coin stays on top, you know the temp has not gotten to warm.

You live in a very arid climate, so it should be feasible to just hang your clothes out and then throw in the dryer (without propane) for 5 minutes to unwrinkle them.

Except mine is the opposite of yours. The unit sits below the window on both sides. I don't think that would have worked for you on account your table is in the way. But I seen the Madea ac on Amazon. In my RV I have a normal AC window unit I just can't run that roof Air like your said it draws crazy wattage. Just food for thought, those batteries you bought are very nice. Consider lithium iron phosphate batteries for your next upgrade. They freeze around 20 degrees, so you could set your heater to turn on at 25 degrees. Which shouldn't be very often

Very good on the window unit..we put in regular window acs in our Rv in Maricopa, using solar also. Our alkaline battery's do well, but we use regular electric also if we blow thru the solar. We have a older HiLo 2008 model. It works, the panels on the roof. Nice gf

I bought a $50 old used chest freezer to replace my upright when it suddenly after 15 years of service just died with no warning. I have had it for 5 years now and it is still running strong and quietly (knock on wood) and about the same size as the one you purchased. I also keep a small one downstairs for storing flour and beans and oats, cornmeal and rice & pastas in. In these days and times I feel it is a good idea to be prepared in case the SHTF.

Blueberry and raspberry are bushes not trees lol strawberries will have runners and make more. With blueberries you may need more than one to cross pollinate to get fruit
A few years ago I had one blueberry bush. I got barely any berries. I added three other kinds of bush and now I get more than I can eat . As far as raspberries. Try the golden ones. They’re easy and delicious.

All gas dryers are easy to convert to propane as you just change the orifice. When I lived in my house in Phoenix, I converted a gas dryer to propane because I didn’t have gas in my neighborhood.
