Hope ya'll are getting closer to Casting the lines off. And sailing the world. The water line will come down. Once you get all your stuff on bord. In may drop 3 to 4 inches. I'd say you even got the waterlines matching between your lego and real catamaran. That special moment when life imitates art. Real talk though, if you just add about 3 or 4 more tons to your boat the waterline will be perfect. More batteries, more solar panels, barnacles....you'll get there no problemo.

You did it. David, there are boating lessons by experts there. Take advantage when Colin and Jamie leave. It will be worth paying for an experienced Captain to go through the basics. Read books on anchoring ⚓️ too. Navigation too. There are hundreds; but ask Colin for recommendations.

@@david_shih hola hermano, i d recommend if you havent sail navigate much before, to take safety, navigation and especially seamanship courses. I guess Colin could teach you on way to polynesia. Great time to learn. Which ocourse you already did. But safety first, second and third esoecially for your family. It takes quite sometime. Do short easy cruises navigation before venturing to more risky courses/headings. Mucha suerte amigo.
Ok only 2:17 into your new video and yes I lost my first anchor just the way you just described it. I let too much chain out and the other end was not tied off. Also the only fine art in my house is an 86 1/2 inch TV hanging on the wall.
Ok so I need some leeway here because it was the first time taking the boat out and I didn’t realize that the previous owner let the ring between the chain and the rope rust away. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
I would have absolutely done the same thing if Colin didn’t tell me to tie it off!!!! And I love your fine art collection….I need to get a piece like that for the boat. Lol it wouldn’t fit!
So crazy that it is out sailing after so many days of fiberglass work. Now you need to dial in all the onboard systems like electrical and ac. You will get there. Definitely need to learn the anchor so you drift into other boats. Great to see you getting the pros to teach you sailing.

Ok only 2:17 into your new video and yes I lost my first anchor just the way you just described it. I let too much chain out and the other end was not tied off. Also the only fine art in my house is an 86 1/2 inch TV hanging on the wall.
I just asked David last night I wonder how many ppl have lost their chain and anchor because they forgot!
Ok so I need some leeway here because it was the first time taking the boat out and I didn’t realize that the previous owner let the ring between the chain and the rope rust away.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Funny thing was, t just stood there thinking of the movie Captain Ron where he threw in the anchor and it wasn’t attached. That’s how I lost it.

So crazy that it is out sailing after so many days of fiberglass work. Now you need to dial in all the onboard systems like electrical and ac. You will get there. Definitely need to learn the anchor so you drift into other boats. Great to see you getting the pros to teach you sailing.
