Our Rigging is flopping around and it's the last thing holding us back from doing some epic sailing! No problem bc we tracked down a pro Rigger to make sure it would be done perfectly! Unfortunately, I still don't really know how to sail, but @ParlayRevival comes to the rescue. Not only did Colin and Jamie show me how to fix the bulkheads this past year, but now they're teaching me how to sail.

Doesn’t that take away from the owner’s appreciation value if u are selling off shares? I collect designer purses. Hope ya'll are getting closer to Casting the lines off. And sailing the world. The water line will come down. Once you get all your stuff on bord. In may drop 3 to 4 inches. It is always nice to have a bit more bottom paint above the water than not enough.
Wow! So nice to see ya'll on the water. Is all the interior done yet? Or are ya'll still working on that? And I hope ya'll have video of that work?
And as far as the fiberglass dust goes, I bet it may take years to get it all out. That stuff gets everywhere.

This morning I help put some stuff on a boat out of Kona for the people in Maui.
I don't know if you have seen the Devastation there. The Entire Town is gone. Over 4000 families lost every thing. There are over a 1000 people messing. They believe half are children. The fire was so hot that they may never find all the dead.
So if you could Pray for the people of Lahaina! They need all the help they can get.

My friend, everyone has to start off somewhere. This will be an amazing adventure for you and your family. IN a year from now, you're going to be right up there with your brethren sailors...The reason I decided to follow your channel was from seeing you on Parlay and they all have had fun with you aboard some of their journeys. I'm sure one day we'll meet up on the high sees.
*Yay your first sail , with the wonderful help from Colin, Jamie and crew of Parlay plus also Mike setting up all the rigging. Mary, I do worry about David going out with you & the kids on board all alone... But Mary please make sure all the radios are turned ON to all the different stations to seek help if needed.... and that every one is wearing life-jackets (and I stress this for the kids)... oh and take a few deep breathes in and breathe out slowly, when you think things are not quite right... then stop and think what Colin & Jamie told you to do... do it slow until it becomes second nature... Yell at David to STOP & LISTEN if needed. Good luck sailing to where ever you are going to sail too and please be safe. NZ*

David, I am sure you have more experience now, but I truly appreciate that when you were a newby you got experienced people to help you out so that everyone stayed safe. You often seem to have a "fly by the seat of your pants" attitude, but you are not reckless when it counts.

Congrats on the sail, the anchor, and all the repairs you find only when youre away from tje dock. Future videos will be just you and your family riding the waves and feeling the breeze. Then you'll really feel it. 👍

I'd say you even got the waterlines matching between your lego and real catamaran. That special moment when life imitates art.
Real talk though, if you just add about 3 or 4 more tons to your boat the waterline will be perfect. More batteries, more solar panels, barnacles....you'll get there no problemo.

So crazy that it is out sailing after so many days of fiberglass work. Now you need to dial in all the onboard systems like electrical and ac. You will get there. Definitely need to learn the anchor so you drift into other boats. Great to see you getting the pros to teach you sailing.

@@david_shih hola hermano, i d recommend if you havent sail navigate much before, to take safety, navigation and especially seamanship courses. I guess Colin could teach you on way to polynesia. Great time to learn. Which ocourse you already did. But safety first, second and third esoecially for your family. It takes quite sometime. Do short easy cruises navigation before venturing to more risky courses/headings. Mucha suerte amigo.

Ok only 2:17 into your new video and yes I lost my first anchor just the way you just described it. I let too much chain out and the other end was not tied off. Also the only fine art in my house is an 86 1/2 inch TV hanging on the wall.
I just asked David last night I wonder how many ppl have lost their chain and anchor because they forgot!
Ok so I need some leeway here because it was the first time taking the boat out and I didn’t realize that the previous owner let the ring between the chain and the rope rust away.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Funny thing was, t just stood there thinking of the movie Captain Ron where he threw in the anchor and it wasn’t attached. That’s how I lost it.

The total capital available at college entry time has to be divisible by how many kids you have , which may or may not be four. At the rate your going you could have as many as ten. So, invest heavily. You should get your own website, and also you need to get into affiliated marketing to make some extra cash. Good luck and I really wish I was in your place. Since I'm retired, I wouldn't have any kids, but I would have a couple of dogs like Colin has. Good luck my friend!
