It's insane when Taylor talked about how much stress she was under when she was creating Speak Now. She had follow up Fearless after winning album of the year and it became the most awarded country album of all time. She just went through a public humiliation after Kanye ran on stage at the VMAs. She's being slut shamed and questioned as a songwriter and singer. Yet she still delivered this songwriting masterpiece at only 20 years old. Speak Now is finally getting the recognition it deserved and I'm so happy for it!

THANK YOU VALIDATING ME!!! The first time I listened to BTR T.V. I thought it was so different (in a good way ofc) and everyone was only taking about the lyric change and not how different the production/backing vocals were I felt like I was being gaslit by the whole swiftie community 😅
I felt the exact same way!!! I was loving TV so much more than the original and while the lyric change took some getting used to, I can now say it is better in every way
I skipped it after I heard the lyric change but I guess I hear the changes in the production they are pretty good, she probably added it to have something to make up for her lyric change 🤷🏻♀️
And OH MY GOD the way the instrumentation changed for the “No amount of vintage dresses gives you dignity” part! While this whole song (& the changes) are absolutely sending me this was one of my favorite parts!!!
And see, something that I feel people haven't been talking about is her vocals. The new version has grown on me, but I still can't help but feel she's purposely restraining herself? Like, she doesn't sound as passionate as she did in the stolen version? That's what threw me off 0_0
personally i love electric touch. (and not only because im a massive fall out boy fan haha) hearing taylor talk about how fall out boys lyricism has inspired her it really felt like a full circle moment when their feature was announced
she grabbed hayley by the hand and took her for a walk in the folklore/evermore forest and they came out with one of the best songs in taylor's discography
okay when I listened to long live TV I actually SOBBED... like I haven't cried like that in a while. I'm literally just so so so proud of Taylor and how far she's come and how she conquered everything. She's achieved legendary status and I just love her so much
Honestly being at the show where she announced this rerecording is something I will NEVER forget. It was absolutely insane. One big highlight of my swiftie life for sure.
Castles Crumbling is my absolute love from the vault songs... Little worried what that says about me, im so glad these vault songs got freedom finally 😭😭😭
It's the Ashley Cat Lady Arc omg. EDIT: yeah, this has been my favorite album of hers EVER. Enchanted was my favorite song of hers. This was my whole personality when it came out. It is absolutely WILD listening to this in my late 20s. (Still can't listen to Never Grow Up w/o breaking down btw)
okay but her re recording last kiss and it being basically about a different Joe now??? like it was written about Joe Jonas but having gone through what she went through with Joe Alwyn I can’t imagine how difficult that song is to perform live
My favorite part about the re-releases is going to my Taylor swift playlist and change all old songs for Taylor’s version. I feel powerful giving my queen her power back. ❤❤
Innocent doesn't have to be about someone else still having innocence. It can be yours. What happened to you/what you've been through/other people's behavior is NOT a reflection of you. You're still an innocent.
you posting this in the minute i was going to wash the dishes... don't even need to look for something to watch while doing hahahahhahahaha thank you for one more amazing taylor video of you ❤
I AM LITERALLY CASTLES CRUMBLING #1 FAN, AND IM SO HAPPY THAT YOU LIKE IT I WAS SO WORRIED YOU WOULDNT. BEST SONG, HER AND HAYLEY SOUND GORGEOUS TOGETHER I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SONG.
Idk if y'all noticed (probably yes cuz y'all swifties...ya'll figure things out) but she changed the lyrics on Long Live from "ALL the kingdom lights shined just for me and you" to "HOW the kingdom lights shined just for me and you"
Ok so electric touch grew on me after listening to it a bunch of times… And someone on TikTok pointed out that Castles Crumbling feels like the sister song to Paramore’s Brick by Boring Brick… ❤
I loved it Ash! My favorite from the vault is "I can see you" and I cried a lot with "Timeless". "Innocent" is difficult to me because of what happened, but her vocals are incredible. And I like the new lyrics in BTR, so smart! I really love this album.
I got Long Live as a surprise song on my show and it was the most magical moment singing to her, seeing that smile hearing us kinda dedicate it to her… best moment ever 💜
I SAW HER PERFORM DEAR JOHN IN MINNEAPOLIS! It was f*cking insane! I had floor seats and a clear view to the stage...i sobbed, the way you sobbed to enchanted. That song has always been my song, ever since this album came out and I'd just broken off my first adult relationship (at 19, mind you) with someone named John. Oof. To see it live... my brain 🤯🤯
i’m so glad someone else feels the same way i feel abt speak now (the song) BC I JUST COULD NEVER GET WITH IT??? AM I MISSING SOMETHING??? nothing has changed my mind abt that song
no, the crying to never grow up is real. like when the original came out and i think i was about fourteen, my thoughts were just "yeah, i never want to grow up". but when sntv came out all i could think about was my little sister. i've been right there for her her whole life (she's nine years younger than i am). "your little hands wrapped around my finger", i remember meeting her for the first time in the hospital and now she'll be leaving for college in a month. like, this is now one of the songs i have to skip to protect myself emotionally or i'll sob (currently crying just typing this)
the story you told about listening to Never Grow Up and relating it to your sister is literally me but instead of a sister, i relate it to my niece and literally cannot listen to the song without having a mental breakdown
I really adored listening to this album! It’s just such a magical and nostalgic album, and I loved the vault tracks too! Electric Touch and I Can See You were my favs from them for sure
34:35 from the start of the tour i had only 5 songs that could break me into pieces if they were played and i wasn't there: 1. I Know Places 2. I Did Something Bad 3. New Romantics 4. Dancing With Our Hands Tied 5. no body, no crime THEY ARE STILL INTACT! all of them
speak now is so fun to me because its about hayley williams of paramore and a story about hayley being in love with an old paramore band member and having to watch him get married to another girl
Speak Now has always been in my yearly top 5 most listened to albums. I loved the TV of almost all the songs. The new vault tracks just make the album even better then it already was. Last Kiss is the only song I don’t care for the new version and will still listen to the stolen version.
Taylors Version of Better Than Revenge is so fricking gooood....like i relate to it so much despite never being in a breakup but being in a ruined freindship
This album is so nostalgic to me....I am very emotional since she released this....I was in the 9th grade I think when this album came out...I adored this album then, I adore this album now😭❤
timeless is one of her best songs of all time it should’ve been in the standard it should’ve been the title track i’ve been crying to this shit everyday it is so good i’m so proud of mother
When she said on her tour the other week about how her fans need to not attack those she wrote songs about back then, I took it as don’t say shitty things to Camilla Belle, because to nobody’s surprise, she’s had people in her comments giving her grief for Better Than Revenge ://
I'm so here for the Castle Crumbling recognition because it honestly felt like getting punched in the gut the first time I heard it. But so many reactors kind of just glossed over it and I kept waiting for someone to appreciate it.
facts about how songs heal during a certain time in life and what lyrics and eras can mean for someone. shooot i was crying before one of my concerts ever started cause of how much that album healed me
Ash: "Miko, what do you have to say about this album release" Miko: Ash: R I V E T I N G Side note: I adopted my kitty when he was about 13 or 14 weeks old, he is pure chaos, and I adore him Another side note: you will get many scratches from him, I convinced myself that mauling us is their love language
i completely understand why she changed the lyrics for better than revenge and i think that a lot of people forget how badly she was slut shamed later in her life, so it was different to shame a girl this time after she was on the receiving end
She is insane for starting speak now tv off with "you are the best thing that's ever been mine" and ending it with "you still would've been mine" in timeless

I feel the same way!! The re recorded version I think is much better
Castles Crumbling is my favorite vault track! The perfect track to have Hayley in because they went through similar industry trauma.
she grabbed hayley by the hand and took her for a walk in the folklore/evermore forest and they came out with one of the best songs in taylor's discography
Finally found someone who loves castles crumbling as much as me and appreciate it
okay when I listened to long live TV I actually SOBBED... like I haven't cried like that in a while. I'm literally just so so so proud of Taylor and how far she's come and how she conquered everything. She's achieved legendary status and I just love her so much
This is her best re-record yet! Period.🙌🔥🔥💜
the vaults tracks is so superial

@@a.a677Not for me. For me, Speak Now is far superior in every aspect. .
Honestly being at the show where she announced this rerecording is something I will NEVER forget. It was absolutely insane. One big highlight of my swiftie life for sure.
Castles Crumbling is my absolute love from the vault songs... Little worried what that says about me, im so glad these vault songs got freedom finally 😭😭😭
mine is foolish one😂😂
@@michaelasteele77 Foolish One is my 3rd, so I get that 💜
i always love listening to mother with my internet mom
I’m terrified knowing the possibility of rep tv now being a step closer with speak now returning to her mother ✨
I keep singing “He was a moth to the flame, she was holding the mattress” 😭 we support strong women
Wait! I thought the words were "He was a moth to the flames, she was holding the matches"

The way she took a perfect album and made it even better is- I love her so so much. Taylor is so good at her job
Why was noone talking about how good ashley sounded while dear john. ESCUSE ME MAAM!!
Innocent doesn't have to be about someone else still having innocence. It can be yours. What happened to you/what you've been through/other people's behavior is NOT a reflection of you. You're still an innocent.
"It's the same thing just in different fonts". Oh that was a lovely line Ash, really really enjoyed that.
you posting this in the minute i was going to wash the dishes... don't even need to look for something to watch while doing hahahahhahahaha thank you for one more amazing taylor video of you ❤
Electric touch is literally my life right now, I feel personally offended
Her mature voice is so thirst-quenching
I AM LITERALLY CASTLES CRUMBLING #1 FAN, AND IM SO HAPPY THAT YOU LIKE IT I WAS SO WORRIED YOU WOULDNT. BEST SONG, HER AND HAYLEY SOUND GORGEOUS TOGETHER I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SONG.
Idk if y'all noticed (probably yes cuz y'all swifties...ya'll figure things out) but she changed the lyrics on Long Live from "ALL the kingdom lights shined just for me and you" to "HOW the kingdom lights shined just for me and you"
Somebody on TikTok said Castles Crumbling is for all the burnt out gifted kids and honestly how dare they attack us like that like ouch
Ash, I can’t lie, I spent the whole time watching Miko😂💜
When “Last Kiss” started playing at my show I WAS ON THE FUCKING FLOOR
Ok so electric touch grew on me after listening to it a bunch of times…
And someone on TikTok pointed out that Castles Crumbling feels like the sister song to Paramore’s Brick by Boring Brick… ❤
Wow I hadn’t made the connection with brick by boring brick.
Castles crumbling is so underrated! People are not appreciating it enough!!!!
THE FACT THAT ASHLEY'S SCRATCH GIVEN TO HER BY MIKO (is that the way you spell it?) LOOKS LIKE A T????? swiftie kitty fr 1:02
Oof. To see it live... my brain 🤯🤯
You ate that note up in the story of us 💜
Also, love to see innocent get some love, she IS that song
Your screaming and freaking out is just so good! And honestly, you are so right.
i’m so glad someone else feels the same way i feel abt speak now (the song) BC I JUST COULD NEVER GET WITH IT??? AM I MISSING SOMETHING??? nothing has changed my mind abt that song
When you realise the 1500s relationship Timeless talks about is Romeo and Juliet, and that’s how Love Story came into being❤my jaw was on the floor
no, the crying to never grow up is real. like when the original came out and i think i was about fourteen, my thoughts were just "yeah, i never want to grow up". but when sntv came out all i could think about was my little sister. i've been right there for her her whole life (she's nine years younger than i am). "your little hands wrapped around my finger", i remember meeting her for the first time in the hospital and now she'll be leaving for college in a month. like, this is now one of the songs i have to skip to protect myself emotionally or i'll sob (currently crying just typing this)
Trust me NO one was ready for Dear John in that stadium… I really screamed and freaked out then blacked out.
to think the sparks fly was written debut era (correct me if i’m wrong) is CRAZYYYY
the story you told about listening to Never Grow Up and relating it to your sister is literally me but instead of a sister, i relate it to my niece and literally cannot listen to the song without having a mental breakdown
ASHL YOU CANNOT JUST SHOW ME A CAT AND EXPECT ME TO FOCUS AFTERWARDS😭
Never grow up BROKE ME. Instant tears, and I also think about my little sisters when I listen to it :')
I really adored listening to this album! It’s just such a magical and nostalgic album, and I loved the vault tracks too! Electric Touch and I Can See You were my favs from them for sure
timeless has been my fav ever since i've heard it and i need more people to praise it!!
Praising✨
I'm sick of the electric touch slander I LOVE THIS SONG
34:35
from the start of the tour i had only 5 songs that could break me into pieces if they were played and i wasn't there:
1. I Know Places
2. I Did Something Bad
3. New Romantics
4. Dancing With Our Hands Tied
5. no body, no crime
THEY ARE STILL INTACT! all of them
am i going insane or is i did something bad on the setlist? anyway my top 5 has one left, she stole ciwyw away and it’s my fav song from her so 😢
@@Izzywildflowerr idsb is not on the setlist 😭
@@Vlad.989 oh i thought it was i’m going to the eras tour next year and was excited for it rip 😭😭
Not me bawling on Long Live.. I can’t.. please tell them my name
speak now is so fun to me because its about hayley williams of paramore and a story about hayley being in love with an old paramore band member and having to watch him get married to another girl
Am I the only one who keeps track of Miko in the background while mom Ash is freaking out? He's so cute!
i’m such a simple person, ash uploads, i grab a snack. watch it all. 💘
Got tickets to see her in Liverpool and I am praying for more songs from Speak Now
Speak Now has always been in my yearly top 5 most listened to albums. I loved the TV of almost all the songs. The new vault tracks just make the album even better then it already was. Last Kiss is the only song I don’t care for the new version and will still listen to the stolen version.
ashley you can buy the shelfs later but seeing taylor is a one in a lifetime opportunity PLEASE choose wisely
Taylors Version of Better Than Revenge is so fricking gooood....like i relate to it so much despite never being in a breakup but being in a ruined freindship
This album is so nostalgic to me....I am very emotional since she released this....I was in the 9th grade I think when this album came out...I adored this album then, I adore this album now😭❤
I managed to get my ticket to see Taylor next year and Enchanted will have me sobbing on the floor. There is just no other option at this point.
timeless is one of her best songs of all time it should’ve been in the standard it should’ve been the title track i’ve been crying to this shit everyday it is so good i’m so proud of mother
I know right it’s one of absolute favourite of Taylor 😢
THE THUMBNAIL ATE 💯
When she said on her tour the other week about how her fans need to not attack those she wrote songs about back then, I took it as don’t say shitty things to Camilla Belle, because to nobody’s surprise, she’s had people in her comments giving her grief for Better Than Revenge ://
Literally sobbed at Long Live (TV) lyric video with the old music video.
Loveeeeeed it before and it hits different now
Finally!! The 1 one review I've wanted to see! I've had the album since release but Ashley's Taylor Swift videos are THE BEST!!
The way i was in Tennessee when she announced the album but my show wasn't til the next day😭(can't complain too hard i did get Out of the woods)
ALMOST AN HOUR? ashley this made this awful week totally worth it you have no idea
sending so much love to you and the kitty
I'm so here for the Castle Crumbling recognition because it honestly felt like getting punched in the gut the first time I heard it. But so many reactors kind of just glossed over it and I kept waiting for someone to appreciate it.
facts about how songs heal during a certain time in life and what lyrics and eras can mean for someone. shooot i was crying before one of my concerts ever started cause of how much that album healed me
i'm imagining Innocent (Taylor's Version) isn't about k*nye but instead it's Taylor singing to herself and forgiving herself for her past mistakes
Ash: "Miko, what do you have to say about this album release"
Miko:
Ash: R I V E T I N G
Side note: I adopted my kitty when he was about 13 or 14 weeks old, he is pure chaos, and I adore him
Another side note: you will get many scratches from him, I convinced myself that mauling us is their love language
i completely understand why she changed the lyrics for better than revenge and i think that a lot of people forget how badly she was slut shamed later in her life, so it was different to shame a girl this time after she was on the receiving end
Needed this to end my evening on a positive note
I was at the Denver show last night when she sang back to December, it absolutely broke me. I cried the entire time.
YESSSSS BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!! HER BEST ALBUM 💜💜💜
Truer words have never been spoken.
I disagree personally, folklore's her best imo
@@lanadelreyheyso valid!!!!! love all of her albums but speak now is def my fav:)
