    Great video! It's hard to get a good review video that shows how much mist comes out on the max setting. THANK YOU!

    This was a great and thorough review. Yay for Louisiana! That’s where I was born and raised. Now I’m in dry ass San Diego and I really need to buy a humidifier because my Rattlesnake plant is dying a slow ugly death. 🤣

      😂😂 girl I feel you. I stopped getting water for my humidifier for like 2 weeks because I can’t use my tap water... they like all hate me now. Time to figure out my water situation! Thank you for watching :))!! Louisiana’s main plant perk is that wet air 😅😅; haha.

    I have one, best I’ve owned. I’ve owned about half dozen different humidifiers. Love the automation. Big tank. Speedy but worth it. I use distilled water with 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide to help eliminate mold and bacteria. Tank lasts a long time.

    Great video, thank you 👌. Do you also have the issue that the whole room where the humidifier stands in seems to be kind of „foggy“. I run my levoit with filtered water by the way.

    • @soulcifer4910
      @soulcifer4910  4 роки тому +1

      Hey! Yea I have to use filtered water to not get the residue. I have mine in a very open room, so I don’t notice a fog in the room. In a smaller room it might happen, it does pump a lot of humidity out :)!

    • @jensi94
      @jensi94 4 роки тому +1

      Soulcifer mine is also in an open room, but I kind of notice it anyways. And I don‘t want to run it with destilled water, it‘s just too expensive 😬

    I just purchased this and I've noticed that the humidity reading on the Levoit and the other hygrometer I have are completely different. Any ideas on how to fix this? Great videos btw!

    • @soulcifer4910
      @soulcifer4910  4 роки тому +1

      InsideDDsWorld thank you:)!! They are different for me as well. I am still not certain which is right. I never figured out how to sync it or force lower it. I think it may have factors such as how close it is to walls and such on the levoit. Let me know if you figure something out 😂😂🖤

      It’s because of where the sensor it. A hydrometer will show lower humidity because it test away from the humidifier. The sensor on the humidifier is more for the immediate area around it. It helps to have a fan blow the mist further away for a whole room that’s decently large

    The white residue is only if your tab water has a lot of minerals. I have well water and I have ZERO residues with my ultrasonic humidifiers.

    • @TRONOFTHEDEAD
      @TRONOFTHEDEAD 4 роки тому

      I agree with this but everyone should be using distilled water (of some sort) in any ultrasonic humidifier. It will extend the life of your humidifier many times over.

    • @JC-ip5vv
      @JC-ip5vv 4 роки тому

      @@TRONOFTHEDEAD that may be a good general rule of thumb, being that most people have hard water. Where we live near the beach in delaware, we have extremely soft water and no distilled water is needed. The only reason why they tell you to use distilled waters is to prevent calcium and mineral buildup. We don't have any mineral or calcium in our well water here. This is why We never get that "white film" in the house when we use an ultrasonic humidifier. I have been using these for over a decade for my exotic reptile and plant room. But places with soft water are not that common and so yes, a good general rule of thumb would be to use distilled water if your water is not soft.

      Would love to use a humidifier but in a dry climate it costs over $1 per day. Had white dust over my furniture and air filter was full of white dust

    I couldn't see much difference in the 3 different mist levels. All 3 levels looked like a lot of mist especially if you have it beside the bed. I want to put a unit right beside the bed and I need a low mist level that is MUCH lower than full.

    • @MikKhaim
      @MikKhaim 2 роки тому

      Better put it on distance of three metres from the bed, coz you may feel oedema and nose congestion

    is it possible to just hang my plants in the shower, so they can enjoy the humidity?

    • @soulcifer4910
      @soulcifer4910  5 років тому +1

      Some people do this; shower with their plants daily or weekly. I personally have a fern by my bathtub that loves it so far. I’m not positive how well it would work for every plant; try it out and see if it gives you any results :).

      @@soulcifer4910 alright then, because I have a Nepenthes Alata Pitcher plant and it needs a humid semi bright place, I can't afford a Humidifier at the moment, I'm a broke college student. but the shower is a very humid area in my place and there's a medium sized window that allows a decent amount of sunlight on the east side of the house. I will update you on it if anything.... =)

    • @soulcifer4910
      @soulcifer4910  5 років тому

      Daniel Schaper I completely understand. Some people do pebble trays, just pebbles and water in a tray to create humidity around a plant. Depending on where you live you may not need much humidity. Good luck on the pitcher plant :) and do let me know if it works!!

      I’d say so! It’s already pretty humid here lately so I haven’t used it often. It still works like it did at first for me. There were some reviews that someone else mentioned saying they had issues after a while/at first but mine has worked fine :).
