Sadly a huge amount of damage has been done. We probably lost thousands of players forever from that disastrous launch
Too little too late, even though the servers perform better there aren’t even enough people playing to fill them, hopefully they see some revival soon
Battlefront 1 works fine but they really need fix Battlefront 2 issues next update

I bought this game solely to enjoy battleing the ai in instant action with a better framerate, new maps and new heroes that i couldnt get on my pa2 copy of the game. Im having a blast because i got what i wanted.
I havnt been bug free of course but they are mlstly hunerous to me when a mao texture freaks out or a sudden sound blast spooks me.
That makes sense, I already own BF2 on PC so I was hoping mainly for a vanilla online experience which is my main disappointment tbh!
Glad a second player can join without a controller (share play - play with visitor)!
Still would like the options to view in 4:3 aspect as opposed to 16:9. Especially for split-screen (which is the only way to play galactic conquest with a friend... and so the most worthwhile experience playing this game), the cropping they did to fit 16:9 is brutal.
That is great! Can't believe they didn't have it in the first place. But at least thats some good
the funny thing is both classic star wars battle front games are older then me and its still one of my all time favorite games. Love the vid btw.

Honestly being used to call of duty this game is fine and nostalgia ruined this game. I grew up playing BF2 having the ability to use santa with a candy cane lightsaber against troopers who shot snowballs, no $35 game is going to be able to recreate that. I wish people gave the game more than 2 1/2 weeks especially knowing how great EAs BF2 became after the awful start it had.
People are very quick to hate on a game that has a rocky launch, but I do understand people's frustrations because even the original port on steam had good servers and it's so much cheaper. But onward and upward from here I say!
Eas battlefront games are a big middle finger to the franchise and are crap
@@hamsannerI get pc players shitting on the game and quitting since modding the original is the best way to play but console players need to calm down with the complaining it’s not a bad game. Is it dead? Unfortunately but it can be revived and hopefully does because I need more than 2 servers

Online is the less important part of this collection, the game colloction, like back in the day on console, shines offline and splitscreen, these ganes were never about online, I've put close to 30 hours on it since came out and still play some each day
Speak for yourself, I only bought this to play online, why would I want to play against AI bots?
Online is 100% the most important part. You can still buy and play the originals for cheaper than this collection, and they are backwards compatable on the newest Xbox systems. Why would anyone buy this to play single layer only when people have already been playing only single player for the last 15 years on console? With how busted this collection's multiplayer is, I've refunded it and just started playing single player on the original versions again.
The whole point of this collection being released on consoles is for the online play if I wanted to play against bots I wouldn't have purchased this game and just kept playing the original releases.

For Hero Assault the AI on the light side are far more advanced, I always lose when am a villain, they need to fix that

Just play Battlefront 2 2005 on steam. I think it's amazing that the made a new version and it hasn't knocked down the 2005 version. Hell play star wars movie battles that shit slaps

Aspyr did these games justice, the idiots thst tjonk everything needs online play, tha6 was never the point of the true battlefront games from 2005, offline was, aspyr has brought that experience to the new consoles with this remastered colloction, and id gladly pay 60 bick forva physical copy of this collection, i hate that its only digital , so i actually dont own it, hust renting sadly
The selling point of the game was that it has online multiplayer. It promised it and was the main reason for so many people buying it, hence the backlash and number of refunds it had, so a game that had awful online on release would definitely get bad reviews at launch and refunds as it did
You must be slow or something they did not do these game justice these were always backwards compatible on Xbox so you can play both the first and second offline with all the DLC on the Xbox console and the PC also had both games under 5 dollars the entire point of this was for everyone to experience the online portion of the game also the offline was more horrid than both original version was there missing campaign cutscenes, hoth was a broken visual mess with the purple shaders glitch, and the UI for galatic conquest just looked wrong in the second game. The entire point of the game was for the online and idk what crack aspyr was on when they thought two dedicated servers were enough for two of the most famous games for an IP worth more than third and second world countries entire GDP of course there going to be more than a few thousand people trying to play at once then you can’t even play once in the game because of how bad the servers are. These games were made for both online and offline play the servers were shut down because of pandemic studio issue all because you never played the online (Like I was when I was a kid) dosent mean the entire purpose of the game was for offline play and if it was they should not have made a entire reveal trailer glazing the online play they made the graphics slightly better but it not a remaster of the original games of it was then yes I would give it some slack but their entire selling point was the online play.
If you want to see a real remaster check what the modders have done on the OG version of the game the fact modders can do better visuals and add more content then a Triple A studios is sad
