Blueprints for Paper Wings Version 2
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 сер 2018
- For those interested in doing their own engineering, this is the scale model and the current blueprints for my larger set of paper costume wings. This is just an update on build progress and does not include all parts or dimensions. I cut and glued the paper parts exactly as in the drawing. This build will be the basis of a future tutorial. Plans may be changed during construction.

I wanna cosplay like hawks for bnha and it so cool so I'm gonna make a huge version of this
I was looking for a solution to make my hawks cosplay, and i just saw your comment first, made me laugh a lot
SAME I WAS LOOKING EVERY FOR WORKING WINGS😭
Hawks is one of the best character in MHA✨👌🏽
Quito Ecuador excelente trabajo
THANK YOU. I hope you could add some audio instructions or tips in the next videos :)
How would you put it on your back and still make it move
Please upload a video of step by step because all are slow learners
where can i get the blueprints?
How do the other wings expand?
Are you selling the pdf/blueprints?
How do i print it though? I would like to make very large ones so how do i print them and how do i make it so that i can spread the wings from the front
You may consider projecting the template on the paper in the desire size. Trace the outline with a pen, then cut it.
Blue prints please
Would this work sized up? Or would it be too heavy.
Well, using a single layer of posterboard, the MAXIMUM practical width is about 8 feet (244cm) fully extended. The sizes of the spars and wooden arms in the various pictures of the larger set are the bare minimums needed to support the weight at that size, so they do flex a little. If you can source it, consider using ultra-thin corrugated cardboard for all or most of the sections, instead; the build would be easier. Double up the wooden arms and spars, if a bulkier look is OK. The pulley diameter is sufficient, but it could be made wider to increase leverage. Perhaps a more important consideration is that wings which are 8 feet wide across the top when open are 4ft (122cm) wide at the bottom when closed.
Do you teach classes?
may I ask how one would go about making the feathers?
Hi. Were you asking about the material and shaping of individual feathers or about a
tutorial for the build overall?
@@pineapplz7162 i was interested in what the wings would look like before they were folded, how to fold them, and what they should look like when they're done. thanks
@@@soundwave7502, see ua-cam.com/video/b7hQ8c2Ahr4/v-deo.html for a condensed sequence from template to assembly for one section of wing. Basically, the large set will look the same as the small model (identical blueprint dimensions), except the arc connectors will be made of wood, rather than paper.
Do you have the map to download it'?' thank you
Too small to fly right???????

I'd like to know how to do the wings in the same way as version 1 with the pulley system like just pulling a string and it extends I know that this is quite an old video but by far the most reliable.
Version 2 is essentially the same system as version 1, but with a better pulley setup and different feather outlines. I don't show the strings anywhere in version 2, because the strings just feed through plastic pipe over the shoulders and pull up on the ends of the wooden rods. The new version is about 80% complete, and is 1.5X larger. However, it can be made at any smaller size. Recording all the steps in detail is a very slow process, but I'll post a tutorial when it is done.
@@pineapplz7162 okay thank you I'll make sure to turn on notifications then. I admire your commitment to this I don't have that much patience. ^-^'
