I think if remember Metro 2033 was more a tech demo for the DX11 with Physx and Tessellation. You might like Last Light and Exodus better for game play and story
Fun fact: when I was a stupid teenager I finished both metro remasters without killing bandits but my stupid brain forgot that throwing knifes are deadly, so I got the bad ending, I wanted to replay it but wasn't interested in doing it, after Metro Exodus technological improvement especially
That's dishonored you're thinking of, you can kill every single enemy in the game (minus the 3 red prisoners, but they think you're with them and don't attack you anyway) and don't lose a single moral point
Just to fix your mistake, at first you arrive on Red station and run from Red. On "bridge" fight you cross from "Red line" to "Nazi line". So when you go with Spartan's on a turret segment you fight Nazis
Interesting thing about Quickdraw, the achievement where you have to stop the Nosalis breaking the vents that you spent an hour on. The end of the section is tied to your ammo. Like, you can literally just spam your bullets into around 4 or 5 enemies in the vents and once you're dry, the cut scene starts. You only have to guard the vents for around 30 seconds Super helpful for me when I found that out.
The animals on the surface with fur are called watchmen, basically mutated dogs/cats or whatever and the Nosalis are meant to be heavily mutated Shrews or Moles and mostly inhabit the metro.
Does the name watchmen appear in 2033 or Last Light? I just finished both games (again) and I genuinely do not recalled them being named before Exodus. But it may just be me not reading stuff.
The reason the game propably seems bland is because nearly half of the stuff that happened in the Book didnt make it into the game, a lot of little things are among them that fleshen out the expirience as a whole, but the atmosphere the game absolutly nailed it in that regard
i think my favorite feature, if I'm remembering correctly, was the fact that the fire from the lighter moved in the direction of the objective to tell you where it is
Love that this video posted when it did because just last month I actually played the games and one DLC so far I beat the games with good ending so this is perfect timing because I would not have enjoyed this video as much if I hadn’t played it first. Great video.
In only three months you’ve shot up to one of if not favorite UA-camr. I always look forward to Sunday, and I do plan on catching some streams. Keep up the great work!
If you were a big fan of the setting but were let down by the story you might want to check the book. The story kinda has the same key points like khan and D6 but artyom barely kills anything and has different encounters
If I remember correctly the moral points aren’t just rewarded if you kill no enemies, I believe certain bandits and enemies don’t affect the counter at all
Moral points are mostly obtained by exploring and discovering hidden areas and listening to conversations, and sneaking past enemies. It's as if the makes us step into Artyom's shoes, and play it like we're actually inside the game.
What makes the Metro sereis a masterpiece is the way the Moral Points work. • In 2033, Artyom hasn't been outside his home station, and the more he explores the outside world (finding secret areas, listening to conversations etc), the more moral points he gets. • In Last Light, Artyom is now a matured man capable of taking right decisions, and the moral points are mainly got from doing that. Same thing carries on into Exodus.
love the video man played the entire series last year and had a blast. I was wondering though if you could maybe add a timer of sorts throughout your stream so the people watching on youtube can see how long things are taking? just a suggestion of course love you^^
Hell yeah dude 🔥 I actually have the original version on Xbox 360 when I was 11 years old, so when I heard that they are going to remake this and the second one I was excited. Good luck getting all the achievements of the trilogy and the dlcs
The game might be OK but the book, at least the first one, is where it really is. The tension and mystery is non existent in the game while in the book the world is much more flashed out, the story is captivating and the monsters are much more dangerous. Also the conclusion is much more satisfying in the book. Would recommend it to everybody.
I remember I got the quickdraw achievement when I first played the game as a kid on my 360 when it originally came out and have not done it once ever since
I like how the moral system in metro isn't so much about being a good person as it is artyom experiencing everything the metro has to offer. He's gaining more life experience so hes getting wider so it's then I slittled change to the relatively dull moral system
Love metro series and books, also your format of video as its like a story telling, just wouldn't watch stuff I haven't played before but deffo a strong sub from me brother! Thankyou
Not sure if this is the best place to put a suggestion for a game, but the La Mulana games are interesting if you want a puzzley metroidvania games with some fairly hard achivements in speedruns, or beating all bosses without using sub weapons on hard mode. if you do go for them, the first is much harder with more stiff controls and obnoxious puzzles. the second is much more friendly to the player.
I have replayed Metro 2033 Redux 9 times back in 2018. Legit forgot the game existed despite playing it a bunch. Im now playing it again on the Trolley shooter simulator level🗣🗣🗣
“Red Army” is the freaking Soviets my guy. You were in a communist held station, rode the rail car through communist lines, headshot communists.. THEN when you get to the other side of the map you’re fighting the Nazis. Communists in Metro: Grey and tan, rugged Soviet type soldier model. Nazis in Metro: Black and Red, clean and intimidating Storm Trooper type soldier model. The Fascists have a higher chance of spawning Armored troops that take more shots, and fewer number. The Communists have a ton of guys, total strength in manpower.
Fun fact: On my first playthrough on PC @10:25 when the cart flips and crashes, my player model was forced through the map and fell indefinitely - forcing me to restart, as this is also a checkpoint. 10/10 would play again.
I really feel like metro's strongest moments are when it sets you free to carve your own route through enemies, no npcs, no obvious "the right way" scripting, just a building of enemies, a gas mask, and a dream That's why I feel like the first two are so agonizingly bogged down by boring or just frustrating turret sections
I didnt even know the game had a moral point system 😂 I just went back to last checkpoint after the ending and shot the thing down, gave me the achievement. I do have to do it again anyway for spartan mode :(
I need to play the metro games again. I played the first for a bit but didn't get too far. But I have so many games I need to get through so it's low on my list atm. So many games to Platinum, so few hours in the day
as someone who did a 100% run of both Redux games not too long ago, I feel your pain. Such a slog. But fun nonetheless I really do enjoy the Metro games.
That's Metro Redux, most likely similar to Metro 2033 but with some different gameplay mechanics, a few variations in voice acting styles (not too many), and some different cutscenes. Anyone who played Metro 2033 can discern the differences between them.
Fun fact when I first played a metro game I played it in German and the German dub is pretty horrible the dark ones are the worst translation I have ever seen in a video game. Instead of literally translating them to "die dunklen", They decided to instead call them "die schwarzen" basically making it sound like the big scary mutants are black people the entire game.
You should go after all of Stardew Valley's achievements, after all, you did say in the gas station simulator playthrough that you wanted to cover all types of games
Cant watch this video as the Metro Trilogy is on my to-do list. Ill have to revisit it once i played through it myself lol, i dont want to spoil myself.
Took me 21 hours for all in 3 days, the first day got 48, as the dumb i am i failed 2 times on good ending, the last day finally got it, there was actually more ways to get moral points, u really need to listen conversations entirely, thankfully u can reload missions
IMHO Last Light (especially the Redux version) is the best in the series. Exodus is great and all, and in many ways is better than LL, but it's pretty much an entirely different game with a handful of sections that play like the other 2. But contradictory I also think that's a good thing, they knew when to move from the same formula and make a game that honestly could stand on its own if you didn't play the others.
Good choice, good job! Thanks for the grind! Can't wait for "Plague Inc" Achievement grind ( 234 achievements) and "My Friend Pedro" grind (30 achievements, some of them quite exhausting) ]
The hairy ones are watchmen the ones with the big nose are nosalis also there totally different kinda annoyed me but hey that’s just me basically think of them like rats and moles they ain’t the same also watchmen have tails
The good ending achievement has a bug on the Xbox ecosystem, that'll prevent you from unlocking it, just keep on restarting the ending until you forcefully unlock it, it'll trigger the achievement to unlock eventually, you're welcome, no other playthrough necessary.
So because I'm dumb, i forgot to change the stats page to what i actually said... To confirm for me, this game is a 6.5/10!
Not necessarily dumb, maybe just your brain not speaking to your gob xx
Its ok to be wrong
I think if remember Metro 2033 was more a tech demo for the DX11 with Physx and Tessellation. You might like Last Light and Exodus better for game play and story
@@ilikecheese1415the score is for the difficulty of the achievements not the score of the game and enjoyment.
Can you do metro exodus next bro
Fun fact: when I was a stupid teenager I finished both metro remasters without killing bandits but my stupid brain forgot that throwing knifes are deadly, so I got the bad ending, I wanted to replay it but wasn't interested in doing it, after Metro Exodus technological improvement especially
Throwing knives don’t count towards the karma system, only close quarter knife kills afaik
Killing people ur normal enemies doesn’t do anything against karma. U should look at the wiki to show wat exactly gives u good and bad karma
Metro don’t follow the old “kill bad spare good”system, take your time to explore areas/do good deeds/listen in conversations about the metro.
That's dishonored you're thinking of, you can kill every single enemy in the game (minus the 3 red prisoners, but they think you're with them and don't attack you anyway) and don't lose a single moral point
The metro series is an amazing game series
Hell yeah brother!
I hope he completes the rest of the games like he did with dishonored
This game series is my favorite out of all the games i played
Well uh i dindt watch the video to the end before writing this comment i know now
So are the books, might be worth checking em out if you like the game. I played the games, and then got the main novels, they're awesome
And so is the stalker series.
Just to fix your mistake, at first you arrive on Red station and run from Red. On "bridge" fight you cross from "Red line" to "Nazi line". So when you go with Spartan's on a turret segment you fight Nazis
That makes sense, nice one! I always get something wrong 😂👌🏻
You only have to guard the vents for around 30 seconds
Super helpful for me when I found that out.
...so many hours wasted
Where were you ten years ago when i needed you most!?
Damn recently did this on a survival hardcore playthrough which wasn't too difficult considering damage buff
did it frst try very easily😂
The animals on the surface with fur are called watchmen, basically mutated dogs/cats or whatever and the Nosalis are meant to be heavily mutated Shrews or Moles and mostly inhabit the metro.

"Mom, I'm in TV." Finished this game a month ago. I fell in love with it. My profile picture is actually from a Metro artwork.
Maybe first two games don't have original achievements, but all of them were big fun.

hey! i just wanna say it’s hugely appreciated that you add accurate subtitles to your videos
If you were a big fan of the setting but were let down by the story you might want to check the book. The story kinda has the same key points like khan and D6 but artyom barely kills anything and has different encounters
the novels are definitely more in-depth, but it must be said that all the names of metro lines and stations to follow make them rather heavy to read
@@Nisselak I don't know, how, at least in my book you get a plan of whole Metro.
The books were as sad as the games were atmospheric and dark

Fun to see some metro content again, Metro 2033 and last light are my all time favorite games
Would love to see the infamous trilogy covered, played the hell outta those growing up, not sure how many others did too
I did and I think it would be awesome if he did Festival of Blood and First Light (I think that’s what it was called) with the trilogy

Don't we all, I think that there's one in every video .
One of my my favorites! I just got this and last light platinums last month!
"Nosalis," the plural of which is: "Nosalis" and "Nosalises," is the catchall term for the most common form of mutant encountered in the Metro.

I really like the foreshadowing of emphesising 'prey' at the end
I love metro, great video bud!
Will you ever try to get platinum (idk how is it called on pc) on any lego game or something similar to that
Another great achievement grind episode!
Love the video, so glad that I found you. :)
If I can mention a game I would love seeing you complete, then it would be one of the Borderland games.
The moral point system wouldn’t be so bad if they at least explained that it existed.
The metro series would make the BEST vr games.
