"Take only photographs, leave only footprints." One of my favourite sayings. The Serenity pray you read out has another (not so nice) version with the last line being "Grant me the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off!" Not nice, but I was definitely amused by it. Great video mate, top spot, and you definitely need to go back and camp on the rock near the creek. 😃

Thanks, I’m thinking I’ll go back, clean up one of them blue tarps and use it to protect my tent on that rock - in 2024 and bring tarp out with me

Good to see the mental health conversation. Most people run a mile if one starts to talk of their problems. People offer help/ advice if we have work or injury etc but as soon as we mention in the head issues most people suddenly change the subject or leave. More please. 🖒

Hey Simon, it’s been a while & thanks for your valued feedback.
Yes, I try to create videos that teach & inspire my viewers rather than creating around whats most watched or mindless entertainment. Glad it resonated with you. 👋 Be sure to see my latest due out this week, where I teach people how to wildcamp & what gear to bring.

Great vid Dave. That tent is the perfect colour for a stealth camp, blended in perfectly.
I can also recommend the backcountry mashed spuds over the supermarket ones. I find that it better seasoned. The supermarket ones ive tried have been a bit bland. Sweet kitchen setup you had in this one!

It's always a bummer to have to pick up after others. Thanks for doing that. Nice video, I've taken to stealth camps in some areas myself.

Welcome on board, next video up is the rubbish retrieval from that first spot, I just can’t think of a good title, any recommendations?

Wow Dave you've stepped up your game, full on dinner and breakfast (yum !!!) and real ground coffee (nice). Great video !!! With words of wisdom too.

Aw thank you George. The mash is a cheap revelation. I like fresh coffee but the grinder carry & use is more for the video. It's my hope that people are a little bit more knowledgeable after watching my videos rather than just the consumption of empty calories into their bodies by watching frivolous entertainment.

Haha, yes it was a great cook up, the mash is a revelation. Sadly though I’ve put the weight on again, it’s a constant struggle, see ua-cam.com/video/ZzT2HOLK9PU/v-deo.html where I confess in greater personal depth about it.

@@OutdoorsmanDave yes got to be careful at our age Dave. I do weight training, lots of walking, calorie counting works good for me. I was up at 100kg in 2020 and managed now to normally stay below 90kg. Just need to stay less than 20% body fat which is this years resolution

Sorry Dave, something technical. Your voice is only on the right channel. Listening to this using headphones gives me vertigo. I couldn't finish the video. Because of that. Hope this helps.

Thanks Peter, I’m aware and have been researching into this DJI mic phenomenon. It sounds ok via cell phones but yes headphones are impacted.

Hey John, no but typically my wildcamp gear kit out weighs in at around 18-20kg. 14kg is light, what you upto, a big multi day?
