Good stuff. My first trip in 2018 was all about the rides. I only went to FTS once just to say i did. Definitely adding your suggestions to my 2021 list. Keep these vids coming. Thanks!!!!
Drag pipe saloon across the road from full throttle. It’s small but cheap prices. Nice people. We camp there as well. On Thursday the owners roast a pig for us guest and feed us for free. $100 per person for the rally.
I can't believe you forgot THE BEAVER BAR!!! Cheapest beers anywhere in Sturgis $2 bottles for just about anything domestic. Also Stone House Saloon has the absolute best Bloody Mary you will ever have
Leaving the Throttle we headed East since we were staying in Rapid City. Figured we'd find a better way back than the Interstate. Well the road turned to the North and we knew we wanted to stay more East so we didn't take the turn. A very short time later the road turned to gravel. We went along a couple miles and stopped trying to figure if we should turn around. We didn't. A few miles more, there was a side road that headed South, also gravel. One of us noticed the speed limit on that road was posted at 35, while the road we were on was posted 50. He reasoned we were on the "Main Road". Bottom line.....this gravel road went on for 20 miles plus. Speed posted at 55 and corners banked like Talladega, but all gravel. Made it back finally, but very dirty. Live and learn
@@ProfessionalMonkey Thanks for all the videos. I'm laid up from taking a header on Monday and am working my way through all of them. Don't know what it is, maybe your normal matter of fact way, but you keep me laughing. Thanks again
Exit 46 frontage road about a quarter mile back is Slash "J" great bar, music and food. If it between 6-8pm the American Legion you pass give an awesome home made meal for $12. You will get you plenty to eat. Im a big eater and never leave hungry. Also you can get beer only. Say hi to Kim at the door she's great and likes to know where your from. One eyed Jack's is outstanding. Side Hack gives a free beer to veterans.
Before going to any event like Sturgis I would need to plan on how to get around since I never drink and ride. Also I don't think I would fit in there since I wear gear and it appears in videos I've seen that no one wears even gloves or helmets. To me that's basic protection
Of course and thanks for the comment! There are actually a lot of shuttle services to get you around from the major spots. I will talk about that in a later video. As far as gear, no one is going to judge you, and if they do they can pound sand. You wear as much gear as you want to!
Oh yeah. It can be done on the cheap, if you look through the comments you'll see some good stuff out there, but I typically pay in advance for my passes, etc., diesel to get me there an back is separate, etc. and I still bring $2,500 typically for me and my wife to eat, drink, and buy BS while we are there.
@@chrismurphy5564 look around, there really are ways to do it on the cheap. Camp, go to the Spearfish Wal-mart for groceries, cheap beers and hot dogs at the Big Engine Bar at the Chip, breakfasts at churches and VFWs... there are ways! Just don’t miss the rides...
@@chrismurphy5564 hotels are too damn expensive in my opinion, I would EZ Camp at the Chip. The whole week for like a grand with admission/free concerts.
I should have mentioned Deadwood, sorry. There are so many places its sort of hard to pin one. You can just walk down Main Street and hop from place to place. The Casinos there have good bourbons on hand, Paddy O'Neill's is in the same building as the Hampton Inn/Tin Lizzie and they have a great local beer selection. Also, parking across the street from the Hampton Inn is a great place to throw your bike while you walk up and down the main drag.
@@ProfessionalMonkey Actually I was there last year during the rally and we stayed in Deadwood. I found that Deadwood Tobacco. Co. & bar was a cool place... in the basement. Saloon #10 was also a nice. It was hard to tell if the pandemic slowed that whole place down or not, it didn't look like it but it was my first year going.
@@illini111314 I'm definitely going to hit that cigar bar this year, thanks. There were still a lot of people there, but a lot of people did cancel as a result. In a normal big anniversary year it would be a pain in the rear to be honest. I think this year is going to be huge since so many people will be vaccinated.

Thanks!
You have so many places to go!
Going to Sturgis this year for the first time. Thanks for all the recommendations
You’re gonna have a blast!
This is more important than where to eat!
Absofeakinglutely!!!!
The Horseshoe Bar is great! :) Had some great Burgers there! Stone House Bar and the Ham & Jam day in Hullet too. :)
The Buffalo burger at the Horseshoe is good for sure!
Thanks for the good info .I’m finally going this year (2021) for my first time can’t wait .✌️✌️✌️
Right on!
You are hilarious! Great videos. Much respect
Glad you like them!
Stone House Saloon out by Devils Tower is a must!
I’m going to the 81st, never been to Boar’s Nest or Dungeon Bar, definitely on my list.
Stone house I forgot to mention (my mind is a bit slippery). I’ll be there this year.
Had a blast at the Dunegon in 19.
We rented a house in Spearfish. Couple cool local bars.

That's a deal!
Dungeon Bar! went in 2018! Awesome place!!!
I can't believe you forgot THE BEAVER BAR!!! Cheapest beers anywhere in Sturgis $2 bottles for just about anything domestic. Also Stone House Saloon has the absolute best Bloody Mary you will ever have
RIGHT!!!!! What a huge miss. That and the rocking chairs just to watch the bikes go by.

@@mrfoomutt Glad I can help a bit. Take care of yourself so you can get back in the wind!
Topless Tuesday at Stoneville Saloon in Alzata, MT. Beers are cheap. We usually stop on our way to or from Devil's Tower every year.
I follow the same plan every year!
Hey im looking at staying at Glencoe for sturgis 2021. Do they allow outside drinks to be brought in or do they search everything before entering?
Glencoe doesnt care. You can bring whatever you want. The Chip says they search, but in reality a guy sticks his head in and says "yep, you're good."
@@ProfessionalMonkey thanks. Appreciate it.
Your pictures of the Full Throttle has my bike in it I think.
I live 5 minutes from full throttle distillery at Trimble TN Ballard home town cool dude 👍👍👍👍🍺😎
The side hack at 1pm has a wet tee shirt contest at the end they give a free beer to veteran.
Peanut butter whiskey?! Really? Never had it, but it doesn't sound very good. Any particular brand(s)?
Skrewball is my poison of choice!
What about buying package beer ? Can I get a few cases for my campsite
The Chip and and Glencoe both have package beer. Where are you camping?

I didn’t know about the free beer at Sidehacks. Slash J is the one with I think wagon wheels out front? Never stopped in but I will this year!
@Professional Monkey so did you stop in to Slash J? I didn't see you!
Add Boar's Nest in Lead and Moonshine Gulch in Rochford to the list.
Hell yeah!
I've come to realize that knowing where to grab a drink isn't my problem. Knowing where to return it seems to challenge me, though. 😳 😆
Urinal, silly!

I guess they are booking hotel rooms now. One in Mitchell sd on the way and in rapid city.

Skrewball peanut butter whiskey is the worst Dude!! Bought a bottle to try. Longest lasting bottle I have ever had.
I like it, but it makes me (more) stupid.
We did not go to Sturgis to find good places eat. Thanks for the info.
Ummm, not sure what you mean... I ride all day every day, but it's also my vacation so a good steak now and then couldn't hurt.

A must stop is Saloon #10, one of my favorites
@@ahill7866 absolutely. I completely missed Deadwood which is hilarious. The #10 is great but they don’t allow any colors so I don’t go in.

Absolutely a must stop, then stop in Aladdin at the old General store on the way to Devils Tower is always a great day.
