While I was very disappointed that we didn’t get a remix of the old Sandy Plains theme, I was not disappointed by this as a replacement. It’s very well put together. Just really miss the old school music sometimes lol
It just has to hit at the right moment. The moment I realized the song was good was when I was airborne from being yeeted by Barroth and I heard 1:13 right as I wire zipped out and got back into the fight. Was just a cool moment for me, and made the theme memorable!

Fighting Barroth via riding your palamute by running in hitting it and then circling it till you get another opening feels even more badass with this theme. Just bought rise this weekend and I am in love.
Every time I listen to The shrine ruins, the frost lands, sandy plains, and flooded forest original themes I see a monster hunter kabuki like play in my head to those themes.
This IS my memory of this music! At 1:13 I'm just floating through the air. I can still HEAR his whistle as he sets up a charge and I wire zipped outta there, right back into the fight. So memorable for me.

Seriously though, Anjanath's gear, from what I've seen across two weapons (those being Dual Blades and Lance)....ok, let's focus on the armor first. Both male and female versions are lackluster in appearance.And especially in the case of the Dual Blades, if you need a fire blade, I would heartily recommend the Fire Tree instead. Really, only 8 fire attack compared to 22 at low rank?
Is there a version of this song with the Sandy Plains introduction theme? I caught the opening theme in a tweet after not paying attention to it when I came across the map a few times. It now has me wishing there was a full 2 minute+ version to introduction as well.

@@DJROCKSTAZ mostly the chest piece for +2 focus and the coil for more attack boost but if you have the decos the val strax armor is just better.
