I had no idea you had a video game music channel, checking it out! I've got a lot to say about this topic but I'm not going to put you through any tangents today.
@@AdrianUnplugged Alright, but I mean absolutely no offense to you or anyone reading this, these are just my opinions. Social media is an evolutionary dead end. The two chemicals exploited by social media, dopamine and serotonin, play an important role in the human body. They are used as a reward mechanism to incentivize survival behaviors. For instance, your body would release dopamine from eating a meal when you're hungry. Now, peoples' chemical levels are controlled by uncaring billionaires, leaving them in a state historically associated with substance abusers and gambling addicts. Humans can't operate correctly without these chemicals steering us. Additionally, in my experience, taking in new information will either inform people or make them less informed. Scientists believe our brains have limited capacity, and when that capacity is filled with pictures of people's lunch, babies, etc, it's hard to store information it actually needs. Also, time spent absorbing this counter productive information is also occupying the time our brains would normally absorb meaningful or helpful information. Unfortunately, quitting social media is a process that will take an addict years to get over (speaking from personal experience). The withdrawals alone are usually enough to rope people back, but if not, the social stigma behind not using will usually do the trick. I have been clean from social media for over a decade and I will never go back to using. I'm just an average intelligence person but having control of my facilities is like having super powers nowadays.
