Feels like he is jamming to "Jingle Bells" from 1:06 onwards. Maybe its just getting close to Christmas in my head.
You do a great job demonstrating cymbals. I have watched a few and your approach really allows you to hear the difference between the various cymbals you demo. Thanks. Very nice playing as well.

what genre do these complment best?
Honestly, they can do well in almost any setting. Very versatile. Mike Johnston is the artist that collaborated with Meinl to create these cymbals so if you're familiar with his drumming you can keep that style in mind as well.
The ride is the best part and that is slightly above average at best for me. I apologize but I'm not impressed. Especially the hats. Ew.
In 10 years, people will look back at this lifeless dry era and just shake their heads.
As much as I love meinls, their extra dry and dry series are just lifeless. I even once compared a Meinl 18 dry crash to a Turkish Kurak 18 crash and at 1/5 of the price Turkish walked all over Meinl. Sad but true.
All personal preference, these darker cymbals sit so much better in the mix, I used to be in love with bright “ brilliant” sounding cymbals, but now I can’t stand em
@@drewbydoo92 What type of mix is that? Im not being a jerk, just curious what type of music you tend to use these with.
@@JohnD72277 as someone who mixes a lot he is right....this do mix and sit very well. They may not sound great by themselves but the blend really well.
