Eren Jaeger Bunta pretty much just used the tofu shop as reason to get Takumi to learn to drift. So Bunta wouldn't be triggered over the lack of tofu here.

I came back here, 2 years after I’ve seen it for the first time, the flow of memories is just mindblowing. Me, being a diehard initial d fanatic at the time and seeing this... i knew at once I wanted a wheel, plus ive been interested in sim racing for some time already. And here I am now, now not being a total weeb (lmoa), actually driving in AC on occasion and enjoying it to bits.

The hardest part of it would be the five consecutive hairpins, but if given a car with increased steering angle and tuned suspension, I don't see the reason why not.

There is a way to deactivate the chime in an AE86 IRL. Anyway the AE86 in game doesn't have a chime lol

I did it in 5:15 with circuit driving technique and I don't have much practice. Poster is introducing quite a bit of unproductive understeer into some of the corners and sacrificing the apex.
Damn.. in the future, someone is gonna look at this VR footage and think, "Such bad graphics" And I'm over here like, "THIS IS AMAZING" lmao

It's amazing how so many Initial D fans seem to know nothing about cars or simply lack common sense. This video gives you exactly what the title says, an Akina downhill time attack in an 86. It's a pretty damn fast run too and that's because he's sticking to the racing line and not drifting when it would slow him down, only slight small angle drifts that don't sacrifice much speed. Sorry to burst your little fantasy bubble but drifting doesn't make you go faster around corners.
But but but, playing Eurobeat will give you an additional 100BHP, surely drifting will add another 100BHP :P

Well you don't need an overheating paper weight console to play this. You only need a 150$ videocard with Assetto Corsa and the 5$ Japanese Pack which includes the AE86! The other mod of Akina is much better looking imo.
It's worth it with VR though.. evening are flying fast =)

Nice, best I can do is 5:16 in that car and it's hard. You should try the E30 M3, not the DTM one but the vanilla one, it's a hoot around here, best I could do is a 4:58 in that car. The J's racing S2000 is pretty cool as well.

When 5:20 was a fast time on Akina😂 nice memories now these guys are on 5:06 with tuned 86 crazy. Some day they will go under 5 Minutes for sure like the tryhards in trackmania beating records that all thought are unreachable
06 is with tire blankets tho, i doubt anyone will do sub 5 mins tho since there is a new akina and another new akina being worked on so no one prolly grinds this anymore and all the people that did are prolly bored of it since it literally took them years to get sub 10

Speed out of a corner is more important than speed in the corner, remember that :^)
Speed in the corner affects speed out of corner :)
slow in = fast out - because you hit your marks and are on the throttle earlier and longer. Don't sacrifice your time for the rest of the straight.

random callsign I only really drive the R34 on servers. The best I got offline is a 5:15 with 100% track grip. 5:27 in AE86 with 96% grip, about the same with Rx-7. I seen Rx-7s however do 5:12s, so it's hard to beat those. But it's quite satisfying to beat 86s with the R34.

Time to practice that exit-oriented gutter run.
Can you give me any tips on how to corner better these corners. I end up sliding and have slower speed on the exit. If not that then when i try to grip my car just won't go around the corner as fast as i want it to , or at least not as fast as you do, i try and try.
Out-In-Out Technique, I will say that TRAIL Braking is very key to this, it allows you to dive deeper into the corner and also carry more speed thru the corners as well. Also Shift locking and minimal drift angles will help carry speed as well. If you're still playing or reading this, i hope this helps.

A t150 is a good choice for its price. I have it and it doesn't feel bad while driving.
The only problem with it is the clamp. If you don't mount it hard, your wheel can slide over your desk.
I have a used g27 and i think its excellent. I made a reverse pedal mount thing too. And brake pedal mod.
