Each year at 11am on November 11 we remember those who died in World War I, and commemorate those who represent Australia in conflicts past and present. This video provides a simplified context for the beginning of the Great War, the signing of the Armistice, the effect of the war on people, and the importance of commemorating it each year. Students will also discover the significance of the red poppy, who the ANZACs were, and the role of cenotaphs in local communities.

Absolutely brilliant. Fantastic way to educate very young children on such an important topic. Thank you so much for this, as we will now refer to it for many years to come within our remembrance day curriculum. We played it for the first time today, and it was very well received by our five year old group. 😊👍

Reference day for me is , ........when I go to the remembrance day ceremony in Chester , England, and meet the surviving members of my squadron , we discuss over many beers those who died in service , and those who were there last year , but sadly no more here , we tell tales that we know everyone has heard many times , but we still tell them , and as our children come to take a drunk old man home , we hug , and kiss each other , and we remember

1:06 Australia and New Zealand weren't countries yet, they were dominions like Canada. Also, they entered the war because Britain entered the war. Otherwise they probably wouldn't be involved, the only reason the United states was involved was because of a telegraph between Mexico and Germany.
