Yes, but actually disagree. Normally, your TV is connected to the internet, unless you use old-fashion cable TV. It can be ethernet cable or WiFi. Normally, your PC is connected to the internet through WiFi or Ethernet, unless you use 5G/LTE or something else. So more than 2 people from 3, have it all connected as I describe. So I mean that there is no need to use a dedicated cable like additional Ethernet cable between TV and PC or HDMI/DP/Thunderbolt(Type-C) or WiFi hotspot on external WiFi or any other way when 2 devices are connected directly. All the equipment must be connected to your internet gateway. I guess this should be written in user manual of the operating system and TV . Yes, your PC can be connected through WiFi, but it doesn't mean that you must use WiFi for TV too. It will work if TV is connected through Ethernet on the WAN port of the same WiFi router. So this tutorial is about using existing infrastructure including the case when WiFi is not used on one or all of the devices, and no cable is used for display output. It based on the same amount on cables as if 2 people would have to use for normal work without the idea of any sort of connection.

You kept saying that it works even if the computer is connected thru ethernet, but my computer cannot find the tv because you are adding a Bluetooth/wireless device. So I am guessing my desktop pc should have either Bluetooth connectivity or wireless adapter. Because ethernet alone its not working.
I don't think this works over an ethernet cable. I'm trying with my pc (ryzen 5000 series) and Xbox One Series X connected to the same router via ethernet cable. They can see each other though the companion app but not through the Wireless Display apps (Miracast). I figured if this works over the LAN then the medium should make no difference if its Wireless or Wired.
@@jimmywetters9952 This was a while ago, so i didn't have a wireless adapter/blue tooth on my desktop pc. So if you do have one of those 2, when you search for device you need to make sure on your tv you select the "allow to connect automatically" instead of asking you before it connects. For some reason the TV will not ask you and denies the pc/console to connect. But if on your tv you set it to auto connect incoming displays it will connect as soon as you click on your pc/console. Though the test speed might double or even triple, visible browsing speed will probably remain the same as the default speed. High download speed is appropriate for downloading large Gig/Petabyte files, but browsing from one site to another is not going to be any faster, as Liron pointed out: The lower speed is just fine for those who stream movies and surf sites... but the higher speed can't be used. My ISP literally doubled the download speed of my connection from 54 Mbps to 108 Mbps, the upload speed remained the same @ 18.5 Mbps, there has been no noticeable change in performance. This is similar to WiFi 2.4 v 5 GHz, 5 GHz has a longer communication reach than 2.4 GHz but will not perform any better or faster in the same room so to speak. Bigger is not necessarily better but it does however enable ISP's to jack up the price for a higher Internet speed, it's an old ploy but like giving a millionaire a free lunch.
