    "either I get up or I land in the valley for beer and ice cream... either way I'm winning." I represent that remark.

    Great Video! Maybe you could once come to Melchsee Frutt. Also in the swiss alps and beautiful landscape there.

    I've been flying paragliders for just over two years and finally got bit by the XC bug! Your videos are by far my favorite because of your out loud decision making and strategies. I learn so much from your videos and can't wait to fly big XC missions like this! I even watch these while on the stair machine at the gym because they hype me up! Cheers!

    It's amazing to come back to paragliding after thirty years to find people doing what we back then called "migration" as an idea!
    I'm looking forward to my first successful migration!
    Great to watch your video and great to hear your in flight decision making. A pleasure to watch. Best wishes.

    That vario tone at 6:10 was hard to watch. Like watching one of your mates hit on your auntie, and she is into it.

    Man, you nearly have flown over my house 🤩 (some few km north of what you call "Tschöör", which would be Chur and is actually pronounced [ˈxuːr]) ...
    Next time, come down and I will brew you a nice coffee and will provide you with as much salt as you need.

    Fun to see my own twin brother move to Queenstown and take up sailplanes, while I go the other way and go with Run/hike Fly after a thirty year break (yes, that really is possible!). Wonder whether he or I gets the most bang for their buck 😊. Great videos , thanks for the motivation mate!

    Another great video Ben, love your content and speak regularly to local pilots about your videos. A topic came up amongst us about safe mounting of video equipment particularly your 360 cam - could you possibly do a short video of exactly how you mount these and the risks involved like take off and landing procedures while using cameras, basically your thoughts and experience for filming while flying?

    • @BenjaminKellett
      @BenjaminKellett  Рік тому

      Yeah, I will it's been firmly on my to do list for way too long now. But in short, I mount the 360 on the carabiner with a clamp, I don't recommend it as it can easily get caught on lines on take off. I've had it wrapped around brake lines before, if it's super windy its dangerous.

      @@BenjaminKellett yea sweet that's pretty much along the same train of thought we were having, it's a gap in the market but we can't seem to come up with a better alternative 🤔 still would be keen to see a video of yours with battery life storage capacity etc etc. Cheers for the reply dude happy flying

    Start carrying MRE's to eat. Probably heavier than what you carry, but they also have a lot more calories .You can go to one meal a day. If you can find the actual military version they also have hot sauce

    Keep doing them... Love your editing, makes a coherent story out of a multitude of short videos. Glad you came and did videos in the 'Northern Alps :-)' because I could relate with the terrain and so connect with your adventure, in a way that my unfamiliarity with the Southern Alps was not make it possible in your previous videos...

    Hi Ben! Great video! - Have the 32 liter of space in the rear trunk of the BV2 been large enough for all your stuff, or did you also have to remove the protector? How much liter of additional material (without glider and harness) did you take with you?

    Are you flying generally in very light winds, I ask from you changing from South, West slopes with no worry of Lee. Newbie asking..

    • @BenjaminKellett
      @BenjaminKellett  Рік тому

      Yeah it was mostly light wind's but depending on your experience level some lee side actually has good thermals as long as it's not too strong. It's more turbulent so need to approach with caution!
